Great location, 2 minute walk from Sheung Wan MTR, really good value for money for staying in central Hong Kong, comfortable bed, good wifi.
Location of the hotel.
Peeling wall-paper. Not working phone once checked in. Out of socket down light. Staff serviced with annoyance attitude. It wasn't cheap cheap and i didn't expect HK to be cheap, but at least the room should be intact and neat for the price.
The facilities where disgusting, there where different stains on all of the three beds in our rooms, because of how late we checked in we didn't want to mention it until the end of our stay and just wait for the cleaning staff to remove the sheets the next day. After discovering only one of the bed sheets had been washed the next day we found out that we where find for every bed ( two singles in one room and one single in another room), for nearly 900HKD. Unless we could wash it ourselves we where told, which is disgusting for a customer to be asked to wash someone else's dirty washing. When I inquired as to how the linen is washed I simply received the answer "with detergent" and discovered that there is no commercial washing system. We where told to pay the fine immediately or be thrown out of the rooms. We are young and spoke little Chinese so we agreed to pay the fine but asked to see the manager. The staff then agreed they would wash the remaining sheets at 11pm that night. The sheets had to be changed twice for one bed and twice for another because the sheets they had put on had the same staining as the ones we had been fined for and checked nearly three times by a member of staff. To which there was still a blood stain on the right bottom of the sheet but we only discovered the stain at 1am and where too tired to have the poor cleaning lady change the bedding again. After two attempts to meet the manager we finally met her the next day, to which we complained about the sheets that where put on the bed where all dirty and that they had all been checked by a member of staff but still permitted clean. To which they insinuated I had created the blood stain on the bed from the previous night. After discussing and being made to wait for them to deal with the other customers first they looked at my pictures from the four times the bed linen was changed and admitted making a mistake because the stain on the pictures where identical.
Location. Everything provided in room that you need for a short stay. Free wifi worked well. Easy access.
Front desk staff were very abrupt.
* Free WiFi * Great location - - very close to MTR * A 7-eleven is just around the corner, super convenient!
* Staff less friendly * Nothing much at night around the hotel area
Space beside bed too narrow
The location is excellent. Right next to Sheung Wan MTR. Sheung Wan area is really nice, not so touristy, a lot of nice little shops and restaurants. Shun Tak centre and IFC mall just 5-10 minutes to walk, Western Market and Tram stop just a few minutes. To SoHo and LKF it's also just 10 or 15 minute walk. They don't have so many rooms, so even with just one elevator it doesn't take long to get out (compared to other hotels in this area with 200-300 rooms, sometimes takes 10 minutes to get downstairs...). The room was well equipped with all the stuff you'd expect, even with a 4.1 stereo system. Shower was exceptionally big compared to other hotels in this area.
The room size. They are incredibly small, even for HK standard. I stayed at many hotels in HK over the years, but this is definitely the smallest room I ever spent a night in. No space to put the luggage (carry on trolley), and you have to think about how to move so you don't get stuck. I only booked this hotel because the prices of other hotels around were through the roof because of New Years Eve and they had a "super cheap" offer on booking.com. I would rather spend 20% more and get a much bigger room (Holiday Inn Express, IBIS, iClub, Bauhinia, ... , for example).
-WiFi and video on demand are free -Very close to MTR station -Walking distance to Man Mo Temple and a variety of restaurants
-Mold in the shower -TV patched together with duct tape -Extremely small rooms (very slightly larger than a capsule hotel)
Great location on the western side of Hong Kong Island, very near Tseung Wan (sp?) MTR station and within walking distance of the Escalators and the Central Ferry to Macau/Shun Wan Center (and possibly Central Station if I'd bothered to look for it).
I stayed in a single room. The bathroom mirror is small and to the side of the sink. To see your face, you have to lean over the sink and turn sideways. And the lighting over the sink/mirror is poor. It's also the only mirror in the room, so there was no way to check overall appearance.---No place in the room to store my suitcase.
Location, I wanted to be in the area
Had to pay extra for a room with a window, which was smaller than the room w/o window (had a small one in the bathroom)
It have a nice little suite .
Room too small.
good location good value for money
small room limited service
amenity etc conveniently located near to MTR station, simple food stall with walking distant.
No prior notices given online to customers that HK$1000 not accepted at counter! piss off & mood swing! Aircon not cold enough, TV channels limited viewing pleasure.
Nice service. Different then others.
Why food, drink should to charge? Usually that is... For free??
Location & availability. Bed ok.
Tiny room with no window, hole in bathroom wall. High price for what one gets.
Great location. Near the ferry terminal to Macau.
My fourth time staying. The standard on cleanliness has dropped. There were ants on the shelf below the TV. Thought we asked for a non-smoking room, we could still smell when the guests next door started smokin
Very convenient location Comfortable bed Very clean
Staff is a little cold Very small room considering price
The location was good
the location is great and the bed is comfortable, but the price is not cheap.
Tiny room but cuz of that,I felt comfortable. Shower room was much more enough space. Very good
Location is very nice but I think it's still too Expensive that tiny room
- close to MTR
- very small room - not clean to normal standard - some staff not as friendly as to normal standard - the door of the room couldn't close properly. Cleaners left the door unclosed for at least once
We came by jetfoil from Macau, and so Mingle on the Wing's location was unbeatable, just one block away from the Ferry terminal and Sheung Wan MTR exit. Getting to the Airport was also easy, with the Airport Express bus coming to the Rumsey Street bus stop not too far away. Lots of eating places nearby.
As with most of HK hotels, the rooms are tiny, with minimum wardrobe or luggage space. And expensive too.
Location Cleaning staff - efficient & friendly
Had some issues with hot water - there was none 1st night we arrived, it was fixed by 3rd day and staff were responsive, if we had been there for a shorter stay though it would have been a bigger issue
The bed was comfortable, location was prime, very quiet peaceful sleep. The bathroom and shower were very clean and beautiful tiles. The day staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.
Some things in the room were broken such as lights not working and TV fixed with duck tape. The room was very tiny but then again all rooms are tiny in Hong Kong. If you maneuver you will be able to fit a suitcase in the room an dbl comfortable. The night staff at the front desk was rude and not accommodating to answer questions.
