nothing Over-priced, rude miserable staff, long queues at check in and check out. This place is arrogant because of its location and its mission is to fleece customers - terrible, take the train into town and stay somewhere else, only 20 minutes.

I had to find a place just to stay 6 hours and sleep as I arrived in Hongkong very late at midnight and had to leave early next morning at 8 am flight back home. I Chose Regal Airport Hotel for convenience Lack of staff at check-in because it was past mid- night - as a result many guests had to wait their turn. Staff were slow and not efficient. The rooms were very basic and does not reflect the high price paid (hkd 2100) It seemed more like a 3 star Australian or European Hotel. Rooms were generally tidy but furniture and doors looked worn and old. It did not live up to the advertisement which stated that it was voted the best Airport Hotel in Asia. All said, it is good for just a short one night sleepover..

I stayed at the Regal Hotel deliberately to apply for a visa for China at your Business Centre. The cost was totally out of order - I was charged hkd 2600 for the privaledge. I found out later there are several places within the airport who could have got me a visa for about hkd600.

Two of the concierge staffs were rather rude when they talked to us. This is a training problem. Such staff should not be in service industry unless they make an effort to be friendly. The front office / reception is under-staffed. We had to wait half an hour behind a long queue to check-in. Same problem when we pay to check-out. I have never encountered such problem in all the international hotels I stay with previously.

Check-in took too long considering that our rooms were prepaid. Breakfast vouchers for prepaid breakfast not available at check-in and only became available on the morning they were supposed to be used. It is defintely not the best airport hotel in the world!!!

We booked Regal in preferrenc to the Novotel where we have stayed a number of times for the convenience of an overnight stay at the airport; early departure. We were offered a twin queen bed room. We accepted "a long as there is enough room to walk around". They said there was; NOT SO!! We requested a luggage support; they did not have one!! The room was totally taken up with the 2 beds so we decided to stay and put the luggage on the second bed. When we went to reception to change currency we were told in the most direct terms; go stand in line behind all the people checking in, we told him that we expected some customer service etc. The matter was taken up with a manager who tried to console us with a cup of coffee no charge, what a joke. At night and in the early morning the noise from the plumbing system was very loud. No, we will never stay there again.

Location in perfect for catching a flight early the next day, you walk 5 mins to the terminal. Rooms are very nice,.... Hotel is huge, and is part shopping mall. Easy to get lost. When we checked in, the reception person had pretty awful english, but that cannot be said for everyone there. Check out at 8am took 5 mins, nice and easy. I noticed that at 7am, the check out counter was very busy. Be warned. Wi Fi never seemed to work, however each room comes with a usb cable for your laptop, so that kind of internet access is perfect. Hotel seems to be used by travellers who need to catch a connecting flight the next day, and business people. We missed the complimentary breakfast, so no idea how that was. Hotel could be considered a bit noisy and busy, but frankly if you need to catch a 'next day flight' this is your hotel to choose. Good luck! Rory

The location is very useful - almost in airport and 1 min walk to the train station that is going to the city. Hotel staff is ver loyal and friendly. There should me much more cheaper rooms (the charge for a room starts from 2500 hk$ - it's almost 300 uk$)

Really the only reason to stay here is that it is connected to the airport. This can be very convenient, esp[ecially since the Metro is right there, and disney not far away. This allowed us to get off a plan, check in, go to disney for 6 hours, sleep for a few hours, thwen catch a plane out, very convenient. For the price the room was nothing great, and if that is what you are looking for then keep looking. This hotel is all about location.

Convenience to the airport. Good size of rooms. Restaurants. Outrageously expensive for mediocre overall quality. Appallingly slow and incompetent check-in process. Took over 30 minutes to check in three guests. This alone will prevent me from staying again (this was our third stay). In 30 minutes we could have been in downtown Hong Kong by Airport Express. Front desk staff were not rude, but were certainly not friendly. Never craked a smile No electrical plugs in room. The only way was to unplug tv or lights. We carry extension cord and power bar. Without that would have been impossible. Two pens in the room. Both out of ink. Ridiculous charge for inertnet access.

“This hotel was selected mainly because of its location which is relatively close to Hong Kong Airport and also close to trains to go into Hong Kong. We stayed on an executive floor because it was available and offers breakfast even though room size is not larger than an ordinary room. Executive floor lounge is comfortable.” Ronald, Shanghai |
