Hotel is far away from everything.
Close to the sea.
No WiFi in rooms and you need to walk at least 300m with luggage to taxi bay which is really irritating.
The hotel is placed on an amazingly beautiful place-Silvermine Bay, only a few meters away from the beach. It is 5 minutes walk from the Mui Wo Ferry and Bus stations. Its is definitely not a 5-Star hotel, so who expects a luxury resort, will be disappointed. For its 3-Star they provide many things to make your staying a pleasant experience. I really enjoyed my staying there.
Quiet Location , beach front
In room decor were quite run-down Foods served in breakfast buffet could be better..
Hygiëne, Wi-Fi, bad smell in the rooms, rooms full dust, too expensive for what you get, needs a total refurbishment...!
The hotel location is good, can access to beach, do cycling, hiking, visit nearby temple and catch ferry to see pink dolphin.
Everything is good. If there is a dessert cafe serving local dessert that opens at night between 10pm-12am would be super.
Just helping to call taxi and get some general information about Disneyland.
It was completely a wrong choice and very bad experience with my family to go there. Wasting and a lot time and money. I never recommend this hotel to any family. Very far from every where and almost poor service from staff. ps: internet connection pays 10 hk$/ day. or free for half an hour in lobby (just in front of reception) IF YOU CHECK IN ONCE their page in facebook.
the staffs are friendly and helpful
should have different breakfast selection
Small village location, local atmosphere 40 mins by ferry from Hong Island, 40 mins by taxi from airport. Really enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, very good.
Would be nice if the cleaners were more efficient and the carpets were cleaned.
Location is fantastic - right on the beach, really close to everything but away from the traffic. The Siam Spa is brilliant - amazing massages, spa is beautifully done out. Free breakfast is good with choices. We ate other meals in the restaurants in Mui Wo. Pool unfortunately closed for maintenance, looked great.
Our South Wing (Hill View) room was very below par. Across the passage, the North Wing (Garden View) rooms looked great & only slightly more expensive - wish we'd selected that option! Bathroom tiles mouldy, bedside light & radio control panel was filthy. Bottom of cupboard left dustballs on our trousers. Hopefully being upgraded VERY soon! NB this was the cheapest option but no excuse for dirt, mould and dust.
Location was gorgeous, nice and tranquil setting Free WIFI in the room
Very dated property, not well looked after Rooms a bit shabby Breakfast a bit greasy
Quiet and relaxing location. Delicious buffet on Saturday. Mr.Teddy and lovely Susan on reception. (Susan very kindly ensured that we caught our ordered taxi even though she was not on duty). They are such a credit to the hotel with their customer service.
1).Watery scrambled eggs for breakfast and a very slow toaster. 2) My four days at this lovely peaceful location passed much too quickly !!!!!!!!
The bed and the view.
The service was poor
location at see side calm and nice breakfast location outside very nice during the season i visited
i was asking for a quite room in the upper floors, as i needed to have a rest due to quite late arrivial at 1:30am. as a frequent travellor i know there are impairments (e.g. construction works) going on, when hotel prices drop at bookings, but this was worst i ever experienced. my room was located between(!) two rooms that were about to be brought down to concrete, taking out walls by air hammer! that`s a wakeup call you wont miss! but worst about it: as i complained at reception they were not able to deal that - no refund! a "letter" by the manager was announced - never got that, but excuses don´t compensate for beeing 100$ a night quite a ripoff. i suggest you check your room before you pay!
Eating & drinking area along beachfront
Empty pool Paying for wifi
The bay, the view.
No free Wifi, rooms are over price and cannot include the wifi, has to pay extra.
I stayed one night at silvermine beach resort and loved it! Beautiful location overlooking the beach, gym and pool facilities and delicious buffet breakfast all included in the booking. Taxi ride from HKG airport was approx 30 min but the scenery and mountain views on the journey to the hotel were spectacular. If you're after a little piece of tranquility in Hong Kong I definitely reccommend!
lovely location, oasis in hong kong
1) Service ( check in experience, service at breakfast.... ) (2) Facilities is dated and needs to upgrade (3) Curtain is too see through, cannot sleep through the night
Location is unmatched. Rooms have been recently updated - bathrooms are now very neat.
I asked to book a taxi for 6.30am the previous afternoon but the receptionist failed to get one. Had to walk to the pier to get one and almost missed my flight
The location right at the beach; to my knowledge, the only such hotel in Hong Kong that allows you to have an overnight stay at the beach without the hassle of travel. Facilities are okay for a three star place. Breakfast is okay, although service at breakfast has room for improvement.
The place is a few hundred dollars too expensive for what they offer. But since the have a de-facto monopoly on this kind of location in Lantau and possibly Hong Kong, they can afford it.
it is nice place to stay away from hustle bustle of hongkong
very far from mtr
location, only advantage
Location was great.
The common facilities need renovation ASAP.
Good location and pleasant rooms. Pretty quiet, clean and reasonably comfortable and there was a very nice pool. Breakfast was included, making it good value for money, and it was a reasonable breakfast with a good selection for the standard of the hotel.
Rooms were compact which was not problem until an extra bed was added for our daughter, then it was really tight and one person had to climb into bed from the bottom as the beds had to be pushed right up together to fit in the room. There was no coffee in the room (despite it being listed on the list of amenities) and for three people for two nights they supplied only 2 Chinese tea bags, and upon asking at reception, we were told only tea was supplied. These were minor things though.
Peaceful, clear, green zone - Oasis near crazy Hong Kong city. Safety and nice sand beach with not many people (october). Warm water in clean ocean (28). Dog-freindly - if you don't like the animals it is bad place for you. Hotel and rooms has good style, but not very mordern (good for me).
Cantonese cooking is ouwful for me, but it is everywere in HK. The breakfast is not very various, and all 4 days the assortment was the same.
