Will definitely stay here again.!
Very close to 2 Metro Stations which is awesome because the metro is cheap and fast. The staff was very helpfull and kind. My toilet flusher didnt work the second day and after i reported it, a few hours later it was working again. Fridge and aircon in the room.
The place is above a market and a lot of dodgy people asking you for drugs and watches and stuff. Just ignore them and you will be fine. The elevator sometimes took a long time but there are stairs. This place is really alright
lots of amenity goods(tooth-brush, comb, hair-dryer, 5 bath towels for 2 ppl, free-wifi) , kind staffs fluently speaking english(india)
water dropping sound from upper floor was too noisy to sleep（But this problem isn't for this guesthouse, it is for the constructure of buildings in HK)
Although Chunking Manssions is an ugly building, most of the "good" hostels are located there. Which means that the location is great. Less than one minute walk from the MTR TST station
Always had to wait more than 10 minutes to take the elevator. The room wasn't very clean but was fair for what i was paying.
not so much. The wifi worked well
- to make file for the elevators to the hotel - the ground floor in the way to the hotel does not give a good impression - the room is very small, when I compare it with the price (100 USD)
Location, price, staff
Small sink, dirty place, no real shower - you are showering over the toilet seat.
He is very kind. We have very difficult time because I don't speak english very well. but he treat me kind all time I recommand this house
Price is ok
The room was really small! The bathroom had shower and the toilet bowl were basically at the same place! It is ok anyway if you have just one night there
Elevators in the building is slow and easily overloaded. At times we need to take the spooky looking staircase to avoid waiting too long.
Friendly staff and possibility to leave luggage for free after check out. Internet was very fast too and the location was great. Relatively clean room and towel, bed sheets had small stains but still clean.Getting there was easy and despite other comments the street sellers are actually not too bad. In fact, they can be very friendly, showed me the way, let me go in the elevator first, etc.
The toilet was dripping non-stop and although pointed out (and told one would come to fix it) no-one came. It was ok though annoying when sleeping. There seems to be a fan outside the window which was quite noisy too. When I had a shower, water seemed to be leaking into the room... The "window" was also not a real one I assume or at least didn't let light any light in - couldn't open it (but perhaps I hadn't read well the room details?)
The stuff was nice
I didn't like anything .. Accept the stuff and good Wi-Fi ..
People on the ground floor was a bit scary at first, although u will get used to it.
Too small, you cant even walk
the room is clean, staff is nice..value for money!!! will stay here again next time come to hk.
am easy going person, so anything was ok for me.
a bit bad smell
Smell in the bathroom was awful, sheets were dirty, the room was dirty and not like on the pictures. I don't recommend this guest house.
It's so narrow and the convenience was dirty ie air condition
great location, next to subway. Friendly staff and really helpfull
Staff were awesome rooms were clean Dont let the nay sayers stear you away from staying here. The Chungking Mansions are a unique building and expereince with in hong kong/kowloon
I highly recommend AGAINST staying in this guesthouse. The room has no ventilation system or windows accept the AC from which a strong smell of grilling comes all through the day. Staff unhelpful and unfriendly. Had to leave the room after 2 hours even though the payment was non- refundable.
Value for money
Location because of surrounding and only 1 elevator but it is right next to a Metro
location, clean, wi-fi
frowsy room without gsm signal and sun light. there are cheaper and better options in the building
location thumbs up! no frills for solo traveller.
the elevator waiting time. single ensuite room was really small (5sqm) i guess HK is really just expensive.
the place is really cheap and looks like a "babel" ... for those who are not accustomed to "5 stars" really exciting ... room (4 sqm) remade daily, free coffee and tea, I will be back if I return to hong kong ... ;)
the room was really small, you could not open the window and looked outside ... the air conditioner was too noisy... but this is not a problem...
The location of guesthouse is very good but it is locatated at indian zone.
In my openion, it's quite dangerous for the girls who stay alone.
