The Bauhinia Hotel - Tsim Sha Tsui5-9 Observatory Court, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong (Show map)
Good,
Score from 414 reviews
“ Room design was very nice for Hong Kong hotel. Even though it was compact there was enough storage space and closets to put your bags away. Bathroom was well designed and the shower had a window and place to sit down in. TV had many English stations and the room had fast wifi. Tea and coffee facilities and minibar were also good. ”

I like that the place is quiet although located in the city and the staffs are really helpful with our requests. The rooms were very cosy and spacious too. The path towards the hotel is quite a slope upwards so its inconvenient for elderly people to walk up esp when it rains. Booking.com should state the full amount including tax instead of making us pay extra 10% upon reaching.

Bathroom was well designed and the shower had a window and place to sit down in. TV had many English stations and the room had fast wifi. Tea and coffee facilities and minibar were also good. There was some construction going on somewhere in the building as the hotel only uses half the commercial building. No noise but lots of construction workers using the elevator.

Great location (you can catch the a4 from kowloon airport express station and it let's you off in front of the Venice Spa 1/2 block down hill from hotel). The room was great for hong kong, got upgraded so decent size, nice shower etc. A bit pricey considering it was under construction. Mainly because one elevator was out of commission as they were hauling up drywall, and so had to wait a long time for the one other elevator. If we hadn't have gotten upgraded I might have been more irritated, but the slightly larger room than we originally booked made up for it.

If you really don't care about your room is entered by someone in the middle night without your permission and don't care the hotel manager / staff think invading your privacy is a big issue, then it is a good hotel. It has nice room, a street of bars next to it, and ok access to public transportation. They have no respect to the customer. Especialy after how they entered my room without my permission and have they just pretend nothing happened. Me and my girl stayed in this hotel on 3/23 night. We choose this hotel because of the niceness of the rooms shown in the picture, which they did provide me with a nice room. I also believe you are looking at this hotel because of the picture. Around 2am in the morning, I was in the middle of 'something' with my girl, then someone ring the door bell and without any hesitation, open the door right away. A person opens the door and went right into the room. When my girl start screaming the person quickly close the door. We took a bit of time dress up as we were at our most comfortable form. When I opened the door, of course there were no body, Then I called the front desk to find out what is going on, it is the best part, they told me a service lady "mistakely" thought I asked for a towel. I asked how can they do that? opening the door without waiting for response. The front desk only keep on saying "I am sorry, I will tell the manager tomorrow". At this point, I know "I am sorry" is the only thing they can say and so I decided to talk with their manager later of the day. But, I guess they really don't think invading a person's privacy is a big issue. Because when I go to their front desk, they pretend nothing happened! asked for my credit card and didnt say a word! I waited a bit to see they really pretend nothing happened then I asked for their manager, they responsed "I am sorry, the manager won't be here today", and I asked how they going to deal with their disrespectful action, they just replied "sorry, there is nothing I can do". I was furious; what really angered me is their attitiude. If a hotel take service and customer's privacy seriously, at least they will show some sort of sign that they care.

The hotel locates in Tsim Sha Tsui where you can find plenty of shops, restaurants, etc.. And it's also near the metro station. Although the room is small, it is clean. And the staff are freindly. The hotel is under renovation at the moment, which makes the environment a little inconvenient.

The hotel is located on Kowloon and you can start shopping right after stepping out of the door. The hotel underwent reconstruction when I stayed there. The workers would start making noise since 9 am. There is neither dining room nor restaurant at the hotel. The rooms are not soundproofed and I heard my neighbors talking very clearly. The rooms are too tiny, you feel like Gulliver. The hotel is now set up with any heating facilities.

The location is great, also hotel offers some nice views of city panorama. Decent Wi-Fi. The room was tiny. It was difficult to find space for the luggage, without limiting your movement in the room.

Harbor view is good, especially if u stay at higher level. Hotel is close to tst shopping area. We get free upgrade to Executive room since the booked superior room is full. Room is clean, and facilities are new and comforable. Overall experience is good. I would like to recommend this hotel to other tourists. Hotel is a little bit far from mtr station, but still walkable. Another advise is that avoid visiting HK during China mainland holidays, everything inculde hotel is very expensive !

The staffs were very helpful and friendly. They were also trained and knowledgeable with sites to visit in hk. The road leading to the hotel is quite steep. It is difficult to push your luggage up to the road if you took the airport bus.
