Ask them about any transportation you need to or from La Cieba. Also, ask about their delicious pancakes!

Great A/C in the rooms. Nice balcony. Hotel sold breakfast and dinner as well as drinks.

Located in a run-down part of La Ceiba. Small, kinda dirty shower.

Staff were warm and hospitable, they helped me locate my bag which had become separated from me before I arrived and made sure everyone made the first ferry in plenty of time. This is be my first stop in La Ceiba every time.

The place was very clean and the staff was super friendly. They pointed out plenty of good places to go/things to do, helped organize a trip for us, took us to the ferry, and were in general great. Amazing location as well. Oh and there were hammocks on every balcony so you can lie and watch the mountain.

    - Bad exchange rate, so you better pay in US dollars.

The owners speak good english and were able to arrange a ride to the ferry. There was A/C.

The bed was extremely old and saggy, and the fans were both broken in my room. There is no where to go outside, as the owners say the neighbourhood is too dangerous. The owners are not paricularly friendly.

transfer from bus to hostel worked just fine, as did hostel to ferry. hostel was clean. owner speaks perfect english due to being a bostonian.

mattress was awfully soft, overall commodities poor considering the relatively high price. transfer from bus to hostel and to ferry 5 dollars each. food had to be ordered and was way overpriced considering quality and quantity.

Peter, the hotel owner, was awesome. I stayed only one night, as I was on my way to Roatan from Pico Bonito, and I had an amazing experience. The hotel was comfortable and very safe. Peter took me to Agua Calientes and it was one of my favorite experiences in Honduras. I doubt I would have gotten much from my La Ceiba experience if I hadn't stayed at Hotel El Estadio. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Honduras. Next visit, I will spend more time in La Ceiba at Hotel El Estadio!

It is a little ways from the center of town. I do not know if this is good or bad as the town was very busy and quite loud. Since we went to the hot springs and I was in La Ceiba for less then 24 hours, I can not comment on what the town had to offer.

The staff were very friendly. It was nice to have working WiFi, Aircon, and TV, which is rare for this price in Central America.

The location looks a little bit sketchy, but it is actually pretty close to downtown. The constantly locked door (you have to ring the bell to get the staff to let you out) made me feel a bit like we were in prison.

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the town centre, and the beds are comfortable.

The air con in the room wasn't that effective and the unit itself was very loud. Agree the USD/Lempira amount up front, and they don't take card payments.

Friendly staff, cool decorations, cheap price, good location for a single-night stopover before getting the ferry to Utila.

Poor facilities (one tiny, run-down bathroom for an entire dorm room), shabby dorm room.

Hotel does not accept credit cards and staff did not have money to make change.

The manager contacted me by email to offer pick-up from airport, and to say we could have a double room instead of 2 dorm beds for the same price. Staff were helpful and informative. The manager was very apologetic about wifi not working on the first day, and was clearly working hard trying to get it fixed by calling the provider etc. In most Latin-American budget hotels/hostels they would just shrug their shoulders and not do anything about it. Fan, A/C, private bath and towels included - great for a budget hotel.

Location is a little dodgy at night, but unfortunately this is the case for many parts of La Ceiba. Not much to do in La Ceiba, but a great base for exploring the jungle/rivers, Bay Islands and Garifuna villages.
