The Guaras Hostal is located in northeast San Pedro Sula in the quiet Residencial Andalucia area. It offers free Wi-Fi, parking and airport shuttle to and from Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport, for a fee. The property offers air-conditioned private and dormitory rooms with a safe, plasma cable TV and mountain views. Bathrooms are shared or private. The Guaras has a shared kitchen for guest use and a cosy dining area. You can also use the BBQ on the terrace, set next to pretty gardens. Coffee and biscuits are also served each morning. You can relax in the TV lounge and the hostel also offers bicycle rental. The city centre is just 5 minutes’ drive away and various shopping centers are within 7 minutes’ drive. The Guaras Hostal is set close to the Merendon Nature Reserve and 1 hours’ drive from Omoa Castle. The owner of the hotel, Rocky was extremely helpful and friendly - he collected me from the bus station and also provided transportation to the airport next morning (I only paid additionally for the transportation to the airport). He speaks English and is a very warm and nice person, who cares about his customers and wants to provide good service. The hostel itself is maybe not near downtown attractions, but is in safe, residential area and is a perfect solution of you have to stay in Sand Pedro overnight. I recommend this hostel over others I.E. recommended in Lonely Planet guidebook - I also stayed in one of those! Really good choice, great value for the money. The only downside of the hotel is lack of restaurant/bar in the hotel or nearby, so you need to ensure you either have eaten before you get there or you secure transportation to downtown.

Felt very welcome, they picked me up at the bus station when I emailed ahead of time and they took me to the airport very early in the morning. Very hospitable!

Ha sido una experiencia muy agradable conocer los dueños tan serviciales y dedicados en ayudar y dar a conocer el pais y sobre la situación y de los servicios locales, exactamente como si estuvieramos regresando en nuestra familia despues de 10 años. La presion del agua (de la ciudad) no estuvo siempre suficiente en la ducha, probablemente por problemas ajenos al hotel.

The Guaras Hostal is the perfect place for those people whom must overnight in San Pedro Sule cause it is cheap, close to the airport and bus station and Rocky or someone else among his staff people can pick you up and bring you back there. The Personal is very friendly and helpful, the Hostel is clean with a nice kitchen available. It is really the right choice!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!!
