The apartment we stayed in, Vincent Van Gogh, was directly above the bar area in the Old Town - a fact we should have been informed of beforehand, as the apartment literally vibrates from the club music until it stops at midnight.
Several lamps didn't work, there was no real stereo system, the safe had no instructions, crockery was broken and chipped and there were, inexplicably, plastic plants and flowers throughout. They are tacky. For the amount of money we paid, I would expect real plants, and fresh flowers not some cheap imitations.
The attic space - a lovely place to sleep, had an old chair, some building materials (wood) and an old floor mop stuffed into a corner. Not acceptable in an apartment branded as 'luxury'.
The rest of the apartments furniture was old and poor quality. It all needs replacing - except the beds.
Either reduce the cost and drop the word 'luxury' from the title, or raise the standards. Currently, I would say the apartment does not meet expectations.
The apartment was spacious, but not 'luxury'. Comprising the upper floor of an old town house, plus the attic space as a giant bedroom, it certainly had the character we were hoping for, including beautiful views across the Old Town from the shuttered windows.
The staff were nice, and helpful.
The beds were extremely comfortable.
