Friendly, helpful staff. Very modern hotel - a bit out of place in the old city of Hvar.

Arriving/departing is very difficult and tiring. Vehicles cannot get close and a long walk across entire down or down a very long/steep lane with many steps is wearing.

The friendly staff are amazingly helpful. The day I left was raining and they not lent me an umbrella but one of the staff carried my luggage to the ferry.

My wife and I were looking for a get away with our two young children. We initially reserved rooms at the nearby Amfora Hotel as we were told it would be the best choice for families with children. After one night we decided it just wasn't what we were looking for. We had no intention of jumping ship initially but on our morning walk into the town of Hvar, we came across the Adriana and remembered that it was part of the same group as the Amfora. We we went in for a look at the room and after meeting the staff, looking at the location and then being told that we would be paying less for five nights, we decided to stay. We couldn't have been happier with the decision. Quite simply, the Adriana and its staff saved our trip. Thank you to all at the Adriana for a wonderful stay for our family. We will be coming back.

Some on the staff were not quite as forthcoming with their assistance as others. However, it should be said that the staff who did shine, set a pretty high bar.

Excellent pool. Very good bar with fantastic view. Very well trained staff. The room was also very clean with a very good shower. The bed was the best we had on the holiday out of 3 locations.

The gym is very poor. The rooms are excellent but the bathroom space is quite limited.

Superb central location on the port. Easy access to local beaches, shops and restaurants. Great views from the roof top.

The very noisy night club!!!!! Located on the top floor, it helped people from sleeping before 2 am!!!! ANd the night club was absolutely empty!!!

The greeting and overall professionalism of the staff.very friendly and accommodating. The open public spaces have an appealing and modern color scheme and layout. Our room was a bit small but the view made up for it and the bed was very comfortable. The upstairs sun deck . The fact the hotel has a smaller intimate feel .

We were disappointed and surprised to find out that there were no saunas as we had booked a couple massage on the rooftop. After the massage we were offered a jaccuzzi on the rooftop in privacy,but the water was cold. Tries to get someone to explain why in case it could be changed but attempts were unsuccessful. Feel a hotel with "spa" in the name might have full services especially considering the price points of the massages,could have been much more enjoyable. Felt the breakfast quality for what the hotel intends to represent completely missed the mark...ie quality and presentation. Also first time in Europe we have been charged separately for cappuccinos when breakfast was included. Seemed unnecessary to be warned of this when ordering your coffee...

Very stylish in an excellent location. Spa is wonderful, sea water pool and outdoor massage.

The restaurant is not really 5 star. poor service and cheap food at expensive prices. Charged for water from mini bar that was opened by someone else

The staff at this hotel were all lovely, very welcoming & helpful right throughout our stay. The location is excellent, Hvar is very small anyhow, but the hotel is well situated in walking distance to everything we needed. The buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent also - the fact they had soya milk available each morning is highly appreciated as a lactose intolerant sufferer! Our room was a decent size for a 3 night stay & very tastefully decorated with a small balcony too. We had massages on the beach from the Sensori Spa which was wonderful! And probably one of the best things about the Adriana was being able to use the pool facilities at the Amora, just a 5-10 min walk away - the pool was huge & had a pool bar attached - I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hvar.

1. Charging for a cappucino of a morning, we felt was a little extortinate - most hotels will incl. this in the bfst! 2. Also - not having iron or ironing boards in the rooms on request - you can only put whatever you need ironed into the house-keeping service & they then charge you for this! 3. Lunch at Cascades (on the Amora Hotel site near the pool) was not good & very over-priced. 4. We went to use the outside jacuzzi in the Adriana & were told that only Spa Sensori guests could use this (even though we were paying hotel guests & had had a couples massage the day before by Sensori!!). After a discussion on this, they agreed for us to use it as a one-off, but when we got there, it was completely empty! This was a huge let down for us given the rate we were paying.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Adriana. The hotel was in a great location and rates included breakfast on a lovely terrace overlooking Hvar harbour. The pool/roof bar and terrace was lovely. We were able to use the facilities at the other hotels so on our last day we spent it at the outside pool at alforma hotel round the corner which was fantastic. Would recommend, it is a bit more pricey than rooms in Hvar but worth it for a treat.
