Villa Spaladium  

I was very impressed with Villa Spaladium. We were upgrated to apartment and we loved every bit of our weekend trip. Villa Spaladium is located 2 mins walk from main old town. It's also away from the main street and it's super qiuet! The owenr is very frinedly and always happy to help. I would stay there again and definately will do it soon.

It was not easy to find Villa Spaladium when we arrived at Split's bus station. It was also quite a distance away (at least 15 minutes' walk) from Diocletian's Palace which is where most tourists spend their time. Nevertheless after we settled into the apartments, we found a shortcut to Diocletian's Palace. The apartments were attractive, very clean and spacious. The owner was also conscientious in contacting us to find out our arrival time.

Excellent!! I have been traveling Europe for three years staying in hotels, B&Bs, and apartments and this apartment had, by far, the most character and quaintness. Newly remodeled it was immaculate. Charming living room and kitchen area with stone walls and wood beam ceilings. The patio separating the bedroom and bath was quiet and loaded with authentic Croatia charm. In the stone house area very close to the palace, grocery store, market and the Sea. Very nice owners, great value for 60 euro per nite, great kitchen and bathroom with comfortable bed. One nite we bought food at market with a bottle of wine because we enjoyed this place so much. I will come back again some day.

When walking from the bus station or ferry take the stone steps up from the flea market and continue past where you think number 17 ought to be. Even number homes on right side and odd numbers on left. Loved loved loved this place for authentic Croatian charm and character! Highly recommend Villa Spaladium!

It was very compact, and had most of the facilities we needed. Air con worked well (and we needed it). It was also very close to the Palace, Riva, local shops and ferry terminal. Robi picked us up at Split airport exactly on time, and took us straight to the appartment. His daughter Antonia spoke English and was very helpful.

The main thing was noise. Although we were off the main road, there was a lot of street noise from pedestrians and motor scooters. I guess it would be difficult to find somewhere so close to the centre and quiet.

Family run business, very friendly, very accommodating, facilities excellent, thoroughly recommend, great location close to old town.

Location is great for the Diocletions Palace and the ferries to the islands. The managers are lovely people. They are very helpful and can assist with airport transfers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment.

The address on the map is misleading. It is actually 100 metres up the street.

Excellent location (5-10 minutes to the palace of Diokletianus, quay and beaches), the authentic Croatian house, cleanliness in a room, free wi-fi.

Bad sound insulation (everything is audible that occurs at neighbors).

Kaunis ja siisti huone, lämmitys (ei vielä kylläkään tarvinnut lokakuussa) ja parveke oli plussaa. Hyvä sijainti ja ystävälliset omistajat. Auttoivat kaikissa kysymyksissä.

Execelente apartamento. Muy amable los dueños, tanto la dueña de la casa como sus dos hijos. Super hospitalarios. El apart es nuevo, muy lindo super prolijo. Esta muy bien equipado , tiene lcd, secador, heladera, cocina nueva, split, hasta internet. Estan hasta en los mínimos detalles como tener hasta café y azúcar. Es super recomendable. Muy bien ubicado y seguro, está a tres cuadras del centro, zona de ferris, mercado de comida y supermercados, palacio Diocletiano. No lo duden, es ideal!! Execelente apartment. La dueña del apartamento es encantadora, en todo momento se preocupó de que llegaramos al alojamiento, parking en la puerta, su hermano tambien es encantador nos explicó todo, incluso las mejores zonas de playa de Split y que visitar de la Old Town. Es un apartamento muy confortable, remodelado, todo es nuevo, el baño es enorme!! Incluso una vez instalados la dueña nos envió algún email para explicarnos algunas cosas. Muy recomendable y a 5min andando del centro histórico y puerto.

Habitaciones espaciosas y un buen desayuno buffet.

El precio es alto. La ubicacion no es muy buena, solo dispones de autobus para ir al centro, y el puerto esta a 10 minutos andando.
