Perfect place in the heart of the city with friendly staff and very clean and comfortable rooms.
Perfect location. Helpful and friendly staff.
So friendly, great location and a lovely apartment. Thank you!
Location, city center.
Dificult to find parking place in the vicinity.
Hi Back home in Australia. Was looked after so well. lovely food and apartment and gracious hosts who went out of their way to help
The location of the apartment was great right next to the centre of Split but close to the beach as well. Great kitchen facilites, lots of space in the bedroom and I decent shower.
Unfortuantely the apartment didnt have any windows and only the door to let air in. There was some rain that made the apartment smell damp.
The apartment we were in was number 15 on Radunica. It was about 2-3 minutes (walking) to the palace area (where all the bars, restaurants, shops are). I expected this apartment to be located in the palace area and was surprised to find that it wasn't, but it was extremely close, so it ended up being fine. The inside of the apartment was very nicely furnished with a modern style, was clean and very spacious. It had a queen bed, living area, kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of space for me and my husband to spread out and be comfortable. Antonia met us at the apartment and had a map of the area ready for us, with restaurant and bar recommendations already noted. Something I should have realized beforehand but didn't was that Villa Spaladium I think is actually several different apartments. It would have been nice if the pictures on Booking identify which apartment is being shown. That way, when you are assigned your apartment, you can tell which photos reflect that space. That being said, our apartment was really wonderful and it was our favorite place we stayed during our entire trip. I feel confident recommending "Villa(s) Spaladium" to other travelers.
I thought our credit card reservation through Booking would pay for the room, but we ended up having to pay in cash when we arrived. We had enough cash, so that was OK, but it would have been good to know that the credit card just held the reservation and full payment in cash was expected upon arrival. Also, this isn't necessarily a bad thing (because the apartment we had was great), but the inside of the apt was not in any of the pictures on Booking.
Close to the old town, and very clean. Staff pleasant.
Very misleading experience. We thought that we would be staying in the villa, the pictures looked fantastic and we were really looking forward to enjoying the views from the balcony. However, we realised only when we arrived that our room was not as we thought. It is a dark ground floor room opening onto a road, not in the villa. Whilst the actual room was fine, it was really not what we were expecting. This should be made much clearer in the description on the website. I would have booked elsewhere. Not good value for money, and very disappointing.
Great location - easy access for ferries, town, market, palace and exploring. Helpful, friendly staff (not onsite, but easy to call).
A bit like a cave; not much natural light. Fine for a few days, but not much longer (we booked very late, and only stayed one night). Minimal outside space. Given the above, not great value for money.
Appartement was clean
it was too dark; not the appartement which was promised
Esthectics, love the cave look of the foyer. Location is perfect for bus and ships at Split and close to the square and attractions. I thought it was very reasonably priced! Oh and wi-fi work great. Also you can tell the unit was recently remodeled 4 stars
Nothing to complain about.
Location was brilliant as apartment is few minutes from the centre of town to access the Palace or port for ferries to the other Islands and close to the bus station. Really good value for money as we were just seeking a cheap and cheerful stopover on our way to Hvar.
Unfortunately we didn't get any hot water in the morning - may have just been unlucky with the heater!
Clean and modern flat, relatively spacious and air con worked very well. Kitchen was well equiped with salt, pepper and oil etc still there which is great and saves you buying any when you arrive - it always goes to waste.
There was about 2 minutes of hot water then all cold despite having had the heater on for a few hours. We had freezing cold showers and the shower nozzle needed fixed. We needed the sofa bed made up, but this was not the case. There were no instructions and we couldn't put it together so my poor friend had a rather uneven surface to sleep on. Thank goodness it was just one night!
We loved to sit out on the small balcony and eat breakfast or have a glass of wine in the evening. It's just a short walk to the old town and harbour which is ideal for exploring and taking day trips. Although close to everything it is in a quiet local neighbourhood. Antonia was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat, things to do and any other questions you may have. She would even organise trips for you.
The small kitchen provided a bench top cooker but there were few utensils to do this with. A microwave would of been handy.
Staff were great
Very good apartment, just 5 minutes walk from Dioclecian's Palace and 10 minutes from the sand beach of Bakvice. Antonia, the owner very helfull and available.
Not possible to pay with credirt card (had to go to an ATM to get 2000 Kunas). If driving to Split, get ready to search for parking for more than half an hour and get a nervous breakdown.
Less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station, the port and the Dioclecian palace. Clean, tidy and well maintained room with all the minimum elements for a comfortable stay. The staff was also helpful. The only thing slightly deceiving was the nice photos on the booking site. We stay in a satellite room instead on the main rooms in street Radunica, where I presume those photos where taken from. Overall I would recommend this place.
Slightly deceived by the site photographs of the balcony areas.
Super location, close to restaurants, bars, shopping and port Extremely helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble
Location great Facilities /washing machine! Air Con Small outside seating area
Our room was near everything we needed: the ATM, a couple of good restaurants (Toc, just a few doors down offers tasty food at low prices), Dioclesian's Palace, the bus terminal, and the ferry docks. The cleaning lady lives behind the room and let us store our luggage for several hours for free after we had checked out.
We needed a key to open the door--even to leave the room and go outside. We left our key in the lock in case of fire. We were expecting the room with the balcony illustrated in the ad. Instead, we go another one a couple of blocks away, but it was nice, too.
Great place to start a vacation in Croatia. The apartments were right in the center of the Diocletian's palace where there are food and shops all around. Our favorite part was the huge terrace that overlooked the courtyard.
Antonia was great on communication and when she told us the next morning the taxi she booked wasnt going to turn up she drove us to airport ...thank you so we paid her instead
room was on ground floor of building away from main accommodation. My fault for not checking website in detail but when travelling do you? for 250 euro a night u can get great 4* or ok 5* room in London and would expect something decent this room is really depressing without everyone on busy street looking into your room you need to shut blinds etc so a dark box room and the glass door into bathroom doesn't fit or shield you at all great if you want to watch and hear your partner on toilet. Plus cheap furniture. Apparently a big shortage of rooms in Croatia so booking last minute not good idea but if owners are going to work just of supply and demand what is the cut off point when many travellers say we are being ripped off for are hard earned cash?
The Location was Fabulous!! Right at the Iron Gate of Diocletians Palace, under the Clock Tower with a balcony. You couldn't ask for more!! Kitchen well kit out and nice bedrooms.
