Steep hill returning back from town
Excellent view of the sea. Lovely and clean and nice and quiet. Well lit stairs and surrounds. Plenty of parking spaces and the owner makes brilliant pancakes.

We loved everything about our stay. We stayed in a very well presented two bedroomed apartment, which included a large dining/lounge/kitchen area, a lovely modern bathroom with powerful shower and a balcony with an amazing view overlooking the sea. It's located in a small residential area up a hill about 15 mins stroll into Cavtat. We loved the walk, great exercise for the old legs, and made all the better with an ice cream from the shop at the bottom of the hill! There is a small supermarket a couple of minutes walk away which stocks everything you need. It was a pleasure to meet Natasha, the apartment owner, and she was very friendly and helpful, and makes fabulous cheesecake x

We would have liked the Cable TV to have been able to receive more English TC channels. Huge bathroom with a lovely shower - why not add a bath?
Two highly enjoyable weeks in Apartments Sutalo in early September 2014. We were met at the airport by the wonderful Natasa (owner) and driven to the apartment which was only 10 minutes away. The property is in a pretty cul-de-sac in a fairly pleasant, very QUIET, neighbourhood which is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cavtat. The walk is steep but enjoyable and good exercise. We were really pleased with the apartment which was the `comfort apartment` on the top floor. It has its own balcony with an amazing view of the Adriatic and is perfect for having breakfast in the morning or chilling with a bottle of wine in the evening. The apartment was new, modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped. It was a perfect size for 2 people and the bed was extremely comfortable although the bedroom is quite small. Our host Natasa is a lovely lady. Nothing was too much trouble and it was obvious that she was keen to make sure that our holiday experience was an enjoyable one. She brought us home-made cheesecake and lemon pancakes which were wonderful. A small supermarket is a 100 yard walk away and you can buy all the essentials that you need. Good transport links to Dubrovnik using the Number 10 or the water taxis/ferry which are fairly priced. The weather was disappointing for early September but we had a great time anyway. Hired a car through Holiday Autos & Sixt for one week - cost £103!! Fantastic holiday: our second visit to Croatia and we WIll be back, Highly recommended!!

Beautiful modern spacious top floor apartment with spectacular views of the sea from the balcony. Natasha the host was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her and her cheesecake and tiramisu were delicious. The apartment is about 10 minutes from the airport and has good links into Dubrovnik and although It's located at the top of a steep hill it's a lovely 10 min walk down to the harbour (about 15 coming back up!) Highly recommended!

The apartment was clean and comfortable with sea view. The space was suitable for all the family and the price very convenient. Owner was very friendly and helpful, she also gave us a small present from Dubrovnik and Cavtat.

As previous reviewers have said the walk back from the centre is up the hill but so are a lot of the properties. As it rained torrentially for three days, we had no English speaking chanels on the TV and it would have helped to pass the time.
We really like the hostess, she was most welcoming and the most tasty pancakes and delicious cheescake were such a lovely surprise, her friendliness made us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed the location for the peacefulness and the closeness to the centre, bus stop and supermarket. The air conditioning was excellent.

Everything! The lovely lady, Natasha, running the place is on top of it all, observant, helpful, listens well. The accommodation is spotless, the view from the bed over the balcony to the sea is devine. Natasha was outstanding in assisting with tour bookings, and checking whether my day, trip etc had gone well. From help to find a great hairdresser, to the treat of homemade pancakes, this was delightful.

That it was our last day in Croatia so we were not able to enjoy longer ;-)
We only had one night but it was nice. It is close to the airport but we were not disturbed by the noise. Everything was new and nice. We regretted not having more days there. We liked Cavtat a lot. Quite close to the city centre and the beaches, not so easy with strollers but still ok.

Only the limited time we stayed there :) Seriously, nothing to complaint about!
From the very first day, all offered services were on the top level - clean apartment, regular change of towels, warm and friendly small talks with Natasha. We received even 2 unexpected presents from Natasha :) The house is not situated directly in the middle of town centre, however the steep descent and ascent is a very good exercise for everyone who stays there! :) Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

We stayed in the comfort apartment right at the top. It had a large, private balcony with a spectacular sea view. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. Liked the little extra touches to make it homely and welcoming like the touch sensitive bedside lamps and the little dish of welcome chocolates! The owner is a lovely lady, keen to ensure you enjoy your stay. Extra pillows were no problem and have never been provided with so many clean towels! The bedding and towels smelt lovely too. Would recommend these apartments to any of my friends wishing to visit Cavtat. As other reviewers have said, it is steep walk up the hill but you get a great apartment with a fantastic view as a reward! There are plans for a swimming pool here next year which will make these apartments even better.

As others said the hill but it was not as bad as we thought and it was good to walk off our dinner!
Clean and new. Air con and wifi worked very well. Easy to get to from airport. The hosts were wonderful and the pancakes she brought us were delicious. Lovely view from balcony Easy to get the bus and supermarket at end of road. We had a lovely holiday and would stay again.

We stayed at Sutalo for the first three nights of the vacation; couldn't have get a better start. Natasa and Pero made us feel like home from the beginning. The apartment was clean and newly furnished, clean and well equipped. Pero showed us around the town for the best beaches and restaurants. Location is up the hill of the town, within walking distance. Parking is free and on the front yard. Aircondition works fine, WIFI is speedy and satellite TV has a billion channels.

Location means an approx 10 minute (uphill) walk from old town centre, so you need to ensure you have everything with you when you go to the beach. On the other hand you get a bit of gentle exercise that way.
Clean and new apartment with new and powerful AC. Good beds. Great terrace with extensive sea view. Very helpful host ensures you have everything you need. PEMO grocery store a short walk away, easy to self-cater. Quiet neighbourhood. Overall: Great value. We'd happily stay there again.
July 6, 2014
We can't say that there was anything wrong, but more that some things needed more attention. The weather the day we stayed was very hot but unfortunately the AC was not working. Nastasa felt very badly about it and we were compensated. Lastly, the yard and surroundings could you use a bit of a clean up in future.
The building and the apartment were very nice. Everything was new, but some things still needed doing. The owners obviously have gone to get lengths to provide nice accommodations and extras in the unit. They were very kind and very much wanted to please us. I could suggest a number of things that would have been helpful especially for long term guests. Would be interested in returning after they have had a chance to get more experience as hosts and be completely finished.

We were just looking for a place to stay overnight with easy access to the Dubrovnik airport. What we found at Apartments Sutalo was pleasantly serendipitous. A spanking new, clean and efficient apartment with a view, full kitchen, good hot water and a great shower, comfortable bed and a tv to watch the World Cup on. It's located on the slope above the waterfront in Cavtat, a 10-minute walk downhill. Later, after a great fish dinner and ice cream in town we worked off the calories by walking back uphill. The hosts Pero and Natasha are gracious and accommodating. We were offered chocolates and friendly conversation and when I inquired about a clothes iron, Natasha insisted on ironing my clothes herself. They arranged with their next door neighbor who drives a cab to take us to the airport in the morning. My only regret is that I didn't have time to stay longer to enjoy their hospitality and to walk the paths of the headlands.
June 27, 2014
The bedroom was small and the bed was placed against one wall so I had to crawl over my husband to get in and out.
The Owners of the Apartment go out of their way to make sure your stay at their establishment is a happy one.
June 19, 2014
Very comfortable appartment; very good value for money; very clean. We really enjoyed and will come again.
June 17, 2014
We had issues with the TV but the friendliness of Natasa and Pero more than made up for it.
The location is great for the airport and staying in the Dubrovnik area. The airport is about 15 mins away and Dubrovnik is about 25 mins away by car, but the roads are winding. The apartment had easy parking and was very easy to find. The town of Cavtat is close and easily accessible. We didn't use public transport but there were regular buses to Dubrovnik from Cavtat. Pero and Natasa were gracious hosts. They made every effort for us to be comfortable and the apartment was very clean and well provisioned. For us, we thought this was the perfect solution for two nights. Easy access to Dubrovnik and an easy exit through the airport. We would highly recommend staying there.

View from the top balcony was fantastic. The apartment was clean, good shower and bed was comfortable. Very quiet location with easy access to the town, bus and boat. Supermarket was close. The owners are great, very friendly and helpful. Would certainly return and would highly recommend it. They also organised a taxi for us to the airport, we were still on the balcony drinking wine at 8:30pm and was at the departure gate by 8:50pm, very convenient. Can not wait to go back!!

It is all about people. The warmest reception I have ever had. Felt part of the family. Owner gave us a tour around, her wife gave us the best cheese cake ever. Flat and location cozy and nice. Would recommend to everyone.
May 22, 2014
The double bed was right up against the wall and it was a bit difficult for me to get in and out of it. However, this is probably not true of the other apartments.
The hosts Natasa and Pero Sutalo were so warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived Pero took us for a drive around Cavtat in his car and pointed out all the best restaurants and other sites. We loved the town of Cavtat and were so happy that we decided to stay there after our day in Dubrovnik as it was so much calmer and not as touristy. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was very modern with a nice little terrace that had a great view of the Adriatic Sea. The kitchen and eating area was spacious and we were delighted the first morning when Natasa brought us a pot of strong Croatian coffee and some of her delicious homemade cheesecake! We would highly recommend Apartments Sutalo especially if you are flying in or out of Dubrovnik as the airport is 5 minutes away and the Sutalo's neighbor is a taxis driver. She was waiting for us in front of the apartment at 6 AM the morning we departed along with Natasa who was there to see us off.

This is what I always have been looking for. A balcony overlooking the Mediterranean with less than 100 m to the edge of the cliffs (the sunsets mind you). The house is 5 years old with everything in top shape condition. The owner Natasa Šutalo is a very nice and competent hostess, and speaks english. It's family driven, and they have 2 sons just startet school. The kids of the neighborhood are playing outside. If you are looking for a nice, clean, and quiet place to stay, this is it. Cavtat has everything. You can always go to noisy Dubronik one day. I found it all here. There is a rather unknown nature trail (or track) up along the coastline. It includes a viewpoint to climb, but it's for the accompliced and tough walkers only. Don't go there alone. Make sure you have at least 3-4 hours for the walk.
