The hotel staff were very helpful and the facilities were very good for a 3 star hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was live music each evening in the gardens. The choice of food at breakfast was very good. All in all I would have nothing to complain about. The pool and surrounding area could do with an upgrade though there were always plenty of sunbeds.

Good quality of food, overall service and quality of rooms might even apply to 4 star hotel. Excellent music program in the evenings, very picturesque view from the hotel and excellent place, where it is situated makes this place very good for honey moons, family vacations. Ants in the room and on the balcony.

I liked how close it was to the the lovely beaches and how it was away from the main bustle of Dubrovnik Old Town Around 60% of the staff were very rude and obnoxious, the pool we did not use as it did not look clean, the decor of the whole hotel was unbelievably dated and had not been upgraded for around 40 years, the food served for the breakfast was of a very poor standard, and finally the amount we paid to stay at this hotel was not reflected in the quality. It was far far too expensive for what we were offered. Overall we were very disappointed.

Room was spacious and bed really comfortable. Requested a double bed in advance and this request was honoured. Our room overlooked the pool and had a sea view from the balcony. .Pool area was very clean and the pool itself was spotless. Location was great, only 2 minutes walk to the beach and the No 6 bus to town stops right by the hotel and runs until late. Breakfast buffet catered for all tastes - anyone who could not find something to eat must be particularly fussy! Celebrated my birthday whilst there and was given a gift of bottle of wine from the management which was a lovely suprise.

The hotel was peaceful and the bedroom was very comfortable with a great sea view. The breakfast was great and the dinner buffet fantastic with a great choices of food. Most of the hotel staff spoke good english and was pretty friendly. Lots of walking along the cost and amazing boat trips to the Elaphite islands and very handy bus stop near the hotel to reach the old city. The local beaches were pretty but tiny with hardly no sand. The hotel swimming pool was great for lane swimming but not for children and the sunbathing area was a bit too small. I wish I'd known that there's no children on holiday at Hotel Argosy during the spring half-term as my children got really bored... Perhaps a snooker table could be considered?

We had problems with the staff, when we had dinner at the hotel restaurant we order a bottle of wine, at the end of the meal we found out the wine we ordered had run out and the waiter had picked up a much more expensive bottle and not told us! He admitted his mistake whilst having a senior member of staff shout across the restaurant for him to get the money of us. The bar tender ignored us for as long as he could before he has to serve us! We spooke to the assistant manager and as compensation he got us a taxi to the bus station and tried to give us an umbrella!?? Not good enough and made r opinion of the hotel even lower.

The hotel staff, especially in the reception, was absolutely friendly and helpful! We couldn't have wished for better service :) Room was clean in the beginning and cleaned during our stay also. We also had a wonderful surprise for us in the room as the staff knew in advance that we went to spend our honeymoon there. Also breakfast was very good every day :) Local bus connections to and from the hotel are absolutely perfect. This hotel I can gladly recommend!

The food especially the breakfast was first class. With the one exception mentioned below. The dirty paint stained worn out faded green carpet in the hall ways to the rooms is disgusting and leaves a lasting memory that lets down the otherwise clean and tidy hotel. As I said above the food was good. However, the coffee served at breakfast was a filthy sludge with no coffee flavour at all. Nescafe would have been a hundred times better.

Good location: there was a bus stop (bus no. 6 going directly to the centre) just 100 metres from the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Secured parking space. Ants in the room! The rooms need renovation.

Excellent views Very expensive hotel. Suitable for organized trips but not for those who want to rest also. High volume live music every night close to your room. Noisy cleaning staff very early In the morning. No blinds in the balcony window. There isn´t any free internet access point anywhere in the hotel. Bad soundproof rooms. Natural orange juice not included in breakfast price: a mean gesture.

We had a room with sea views which was lovely and spacious. The staff were always very helpful with any questions we had. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The bus stop is pretty much right outside the hotel and the number 6 takes you straight into Old Town. The pool area was nice and you get wonderful views of the sunset. Noises from people shutting their doors or talking in the hallways could be a problem for some.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, nice pool area with seaview and free towels. Daily water aerobics was an unexpected plus! Good bus connections to the downtown of Dubrovnik. Experiences of the hotel can be very different: we had a nice and quiet room with a seaview balcony, but there are lot of rooms (close to the lobby and the garden, where music is played in the evening) that must be fairly noisy.

I loved the pool area for cooling off after a hot day in Dubrovnik. The facility was very pleasant. The sea view room I got for my niece was great (though not cheap.) a Bar staff was limited in both English and in knowledge of liquors. Variety of types of alcohol was narrow.

Prix excessifs.
