Hotel Ariston

Wir wohnten in einem sehr schönen, gut ausgestatteten Appartement mit großer Terasse, Liegen etc. und hatten einen herrlichen Blick über das Meer. Die Hotelanlage ist gepflegt und sauber. Das Hotel gliedert sich in drei Gebäudekomplexe. Das Appartement befand sich im kleineren, wohl auch neueren Teil der Anlage. Darauf würde ich bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt achten. Die Erreichbarkeit der Altstadt ist sowohl mit Bus als auch mit dem Pkw gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Die Strand-und Poolsituation war etwas beengt, jedoch hatten wir dies erwartet. Das Frühstück war leider sehr brittisch und monoton. Insgesamt ist die Küche wohl eher auf brittische Ansprüche ausgerichtet und damit nicht von hoher mediteraner Qualität, aber die positiven Aspekte, siehe oben, machten diese kleine, leicht zu verbessernde Schwäche wett.

Das Frühstück ist für diesen Standard nicht ausreichend . Es gab jeden Tag das Gleiche und auch im Umfang und der Sortimentsbreite kann mehr für wenig Aufwand geboten werden.

Rooms large and comfortable. Staff professional and efficient. Very nice setting by the sea with a combination of pools and private beach.

The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, but the food wasn't really that great. The hotel is located some distance from the city itself. Getting to town by bus is not a problem, but even in early October the bus was at times extremely crowded. A taxi to Old Town is about 8-9 euro.

The room was excellent after one understood how the windows worked. The views outside were great as well as the overall quietness

The hotel has not established character like the Argentinia It's a multitude of little things like 'immediate hot water', quality of fixtures and general ambiance. But it is a good hotel, but not 5 star

Far from Dubrovnik Town

The hotel amenities and location were great. the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Loved the daily cocktails!

The breakfast wasn't great.

Good situated in a quiet location, not far away from the old city. They write they have a tennis court but is at anoher hotel little bit far away

Excellent facilities ,with easy frequent access ,by bus, into the old town. Swimming off the rocks beside the pool was a highlight.Lovely walk along the coast from the hotel towards town.

The buffet breakfast was good ; but I think for a 4star/5 star hotel there should be available fresh fruit salad (not "out of a tin") and selection of fried/poached eggs available as well as scrambled/boiled.Minor complaint

I liked convenient modern bathrooms, Internet in rooms, cleanliness, convenient parking and politeness of some workers of the hotel .

It would be desirable, that beds did not part, and at restaurant the meal would not be such monotonous, after all it is hotel of 5 stars.

hotel staff is not very abile.

The location - right by the sea. Easy access to Dubrovnik Old Town - local bus stop only 1 minute away. They upgraded us to a 5* suite, and provided free parking at a hotel parking site. The staff at the reception and pool area are very good.

Breakfast could be improved.
