There could be more variation on the menu.

Everything was well designed and met all our requests and expectations. We did not find any aspect to compain. The main words to describe would be: great comfort, cleanness and plenty facilities including excellent public transport to city center. I have to mention that we stay in an apartment in Royal princess hotel.

On internet we booked a room in Ariston hotel and we were accomodated in Royal Princess(the same reception serve 3 hotels attached one to each other) The comfort was even greater in the new hotel but can make the visitors confused because they can worry that the change can be in the opposite (bad) way. The parking it's not safe. Somebody have stollen a mist projector from our car. It's unacceptable to miss a parking guardian at such a great comfort-4 and 5 stars hotels around- and also not cheap price or at least webcam surveillance 24/7.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and there were ample facilities for us to use throughout our stay.

The food could do with some improvements.

Although we booked to stay in Hotel Ariston we were put into a suite in the adjoining Royal Princess which was most luxurious.

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing with a terrace that wrapped around the side of the building and had sun most of the day. Easy transport into town and loads of bars / restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Outdoor pools and beach looks great. We had great view even from garden side windows. Restaurant meals tasty.

Almost didn't have wi-fi in our room. Although it was written that we can get some meals after 10pm we didn't get any.

I liked everything. Staff are very friendly, location was wonderful and the room With the view to the ocean was breathtaking.

The hotel have very good conditions. The room was big.

This hotel is one of a 3 others of the same company all in the same place, I booked in Ariston but the room they gave me is in a bulding were we need to go out of the Ariston Hotel.

Hotel staff was so kind and accommodation was perfect.I would recommend this hotel to everybody who visits Dubrovnik.

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Fitted out to a high standard.

We had a kitchenette in our suite - however, even though there wa s cooker, there was no cookware, crockery or cutlery

You should chose especially the Princess Hotel sections at Ariston Hotel with a sea view balcony.That 's the room that I haven't experienced before such a nice room. Close car parking lot are available and convenient for Princess Hotel customers, just under same building. For the old town, just take a no.6 bus line at every 10 minutes. No need to drive and get stress for looking available parking lot park for your car. One way 12 Kuna = 1.6 Euro. Tickets are available at reception.

Everything is OK except breakfast services. Not poor breakfast, however services preparation a little slow.

The general cleanliness of the room was very poor, stains on all the carpets and walls. The sliding doors kept opening under the pressure of the wind. There was a cooker and microwave in the apartment yet no utensils, not even a bottle opener or a cork screw for the wine. The breakfast is substandard and the service was extremely poor, we were seated at a table that could only be described as filthy from the previous users, yet no effort was made to freshen the table cloth. Apart from the hotel entrance and lobby the rest of the hotel feels dated and could do with an overhaul. The leisure facilities are cramped and the pool is tiny. The parking is a joke as you have to go to reception everytime you want to park for them to open up a spot, this can take a while. Would never stay again.

From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and very helpful, the location was excellent with a bus right outside taking you in to Dubrovnik Old Town for a reasonable price. The view from the room was stunning and the beach area very relaxing we also loved the indoor pool even though quite small it was never busy we had it to ourselves most days. Overall it was a relaxing stay and we would stay at Hotel Ariston again.

The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel needs a bit of DIY, and a good clean up. The two outdoor pools were a bit grubby and the wood and roof of the Beach Bar needs to be repaired. We also had a lot of trouble with our patio doors in our apartment suite they were difficult to close tight.

Location,comfort and service

We stayed at the Importanne Resort Hotels and our room was actually in their new hotel Royal Princess. We had a suite with two rooms, balcony and kitchenette. In the evening time, our balcony gave us the most wonderful sunsets. The room was spacious, en suite bathroom with shower and bath in the bedroom,with a huge bed, and the lounge area had sofa bed and shower room and toilet. The room we had was big enough for four adults. We stayed 14 nights and we loved it. The breakfast room is a short walk away. This is buffet with good choices of fruit, bread, cheeses, ham or cooked bacon, scrambled or boiled eggs etc if you wanted it. There is no beach but steps to swim in the sea if you wanted. The two pools are filled with sea water each day. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas too. The beach bar is very handy for alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic beverages as well as bar snacks. The resort is served very well by the local bus service, and the terminus is a short walk away. The number 6 takes you straight into Pile Gate, Dubrovnik Old Town which again is the terminus. We found that if you bought a 24 hour ticket for 30 kn each you can use this numerous times rather than 15 kn each way but you can use for one hour.

We found no shop on the complex but there are shops about 15 minutes walk away.

From entering we found everyone at the hotel very friendly and when we were taken to our room we were more than happy with it. Two bathrooms, lounge,kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities, two flatscreen TV's and as the trip was finish off our celebrations for our 40th Wedding Anniversary the heart made from rose petals on the bed, sparkling wine & chocs certainly helped. We arrived in the dark so couldn't see the view but on waking we had a wonderful view over the sea, watching the sunrise. There were many spots to sit and chill, 3 pools and plenty of sunloungers in shade or sun. Our room was classed as a Romantic Sea View Room and it lived up to the name and we were in the Royal Princess part of the resort. Hotel very near to bus stop to take the number 6 bus into The Old Town which was handy and cheap (buy a 3/7 day Dubrovnik Card from hotel and use for as many trips on bus, plus museums and City Walls Walk and discounts in shops and restaurants.

The breakfasts (included in our rate) were just ok - plenty of cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese etc but the cooked part left a lot to be desired but we never went hungry. We only had dinner there on the first night (Zoe Restaurant - a la carte) and the risotto was fine, nothing special. We looked at the lunch buffet and weren't inspired (not that we wanted or needed lunch) and had already decided that we would go out in town in the evening as the buses ran until midnight. I can't imagine the evening buffet being any better than breakfast and lunch (I think leftovers from the evening were served at breakfast too!!!)

We stayed in the Royal Princess block and had a lovely luxury suite with sea views and private balcony and a very big bed. It was lovely. Staff were very good, spoke perfect English, the whole place was spotless clean, the room size was excellent, bus stopped almost outside hotel so was very easy to get around.

Breakfast was average, not much variety- the same everday. Could not get anything cooked fresh to order i.e. pancakes, omlette. Also had concerns about amount of flys in the breakfast room and landed on the bread in particular.

Excellent staff - friendly, attentive, fast to help. We had 2 young children 2 and 4 with us and staff were always friendly to them. The grounds and gardens are nice to walk in and the path along the coastline was beautiful. The pools are small but as four pools are available there was pleanty of space for everyone during the time of our stay in the 1st week of October. And the sea is right there and easy to step into. The spa is not exotic or having a speacial ambience as I have experienced in other hotels but the services provided there are efficient and well done in simple surroundings with friendly staff at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was consistently good with a nice assortment of fresh and cooked items. Balconys look onto stunning views and are spacious, with table and chairs. Bathrooms very good size.

Some problems with key cards but staff replaced them immediately. We found the carpet in our room was in need of shampooing.

Superior suite with sea view was very spacious and comfortable for us and our teenager for our 4 day stay here (2 bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchenette, 3 bathrooms and 2 balconies). The suites looked like they had been recently renovated - everything was spotlessly clean and had plenty of storage space. Staff were polite and helpful. Easy access to old city by bus (70 metres from hotel) every 15 minutes - much easier than driving the 5km and trying to park. Quiet location with lovely view of the ocean from all rooms in our suite.

Swimming in the sea was dangerous if there was a slight swell (no beach - just rocks). Restaurant was extremely crowded at the buffet breakfast as it serviced a few hotels in the area (seemed to cater for a lot of coach tours) and the quality of food served was not as good compared to other hotels we have stayed at on our trip. Cocktails at the beach bar were not even close to the standard you would expect from a top class hotel even though they charged premium prices. A la carte restaurant was very limited in the choice of meals offered.
