The location is difficult to find and there is no proper reception. It is merely a private accomodation and not a hotel at all. Facilities are inadequate and not valued for money. |

The jacuzzi bath!! The warm welcome from the owner. The attention to detail of the renovation No blind on bathroom window which opened onto a bar. Difficult to find - a better map or instructions are essential - especially when dragging large suitcases!! No reception made it impossible for us to leave our cases during our day of departure. |

200 yards back of train station. Very close to town. Nicely designed rooms with modern furnishings. Managed by owner and wife who were exceptional hosts helping in many ways to make our stay comfortable. Don't let the outdoor reception area discourage you as the rooms will make up for it. Highly recommended. |

Very friendly owners. Nice location, close to old Diocletian Palace and harbor and beach. Large room with in a great old building. No 24 hour reception, although there is an intercom connected to one of the owners' cellphones. Some construction noise in the morning. |

The hotel owers (Mario and Ivana) were very, very helpful and spoke excellent English, the hotel was equidistant between the beach and city centre (Only a 5 minute walk to both). Room was very nice and modern with air conditioning, lcd tv (With satellite) and luxury shower. The hotel run a taxi service to and from the airport, I would recommend that you use this as Mario explains about the area and gives you a map when you arrive and explains how to get around the city and places to go. Definitely recommend this hotel for a city break. Only thing that can be negative was that there was not enough storage space for clothes (Only one wardrobe), also there was no dressing table for women to get ready, this meant standing in front of the mirror, but do not let this deter you from booking this hotel, this is a very minor point. |

Perfect location between the old town and the beach. Nice and clean room. Quiet place, no problem to sleep in the morning :-) The owners, a young couple, are very nice and helpful. They gave us a lot of information about the town. We'll be back sooner or later! |

I found the people who ran it to be most helpful and friendly and that nothing was a problem, they knew alot about the area and suggested places to go, things to see, and good restaurants. I would definitley recommend hotel authentic to anybody and would also go back there and stay. I have no hesitation in suggesting that you stay here i only wish I had stayed longer! |

Very friendly and helpful proprietor.. Gave us lots of tips about what to see in the area and made himself very accessible. Breakfast was at "The Black Cat", just up the road which was a great restaurant. Don't usually like having an English breakfast when I'm abroad but this one was too good to miss. Nowhere to sit out side. |

The hotel location was central and the room was clean and very quiet inside. It was really hard to find. Even the tourist office hadnt heard of the hotel or the street name. |

Extremely welcoming and friendly owners - transfer from airport, drink on arrival, lots of advice on how to get to places and where to go in Split, help with luggage. Room beautifully converted from original stone building, with modern conveniences added. Presented very well, very clean. |

Hotel is very well situated between city center, bus station and the beaches. Hotel staff very kind and helpful, with advice on where to go in Split. New shower. Our room looked like a private small flat more than a hotel room (independant entrance). Hotel is a bit difficult to find. Also, there was no shower gel nor shampoo given by the hotel. Excellent three stars hotel, very good value for money, but maybe not up to the standard of other 4 stars we've visited. |

The location is excellent as it is close to the town and beach. The room had character with exposed brickwork. Mario was really helpful and told us about the area. There is a airport shuttle service for an additional charge if needed. Quite expensive. |

Lovely room, excelent for young couple or people just married. Very close to the old city and also to the sandy beach. The room had a jacuzzi but the boiler was too small to fill the bathtub. |

Mario and his wife were very friendly and helpful, even when we arrived earlier than planned. The room was very well decorated, location was fantastic. This hotel cost us not that much more than the 3 star we paid in hvar from a very well know hotel chain and it was so much better in terms of value for money, facilities and decor. |

Very nice room and staff were very helpful. Location very near to main attraction and ferry and railway port. Very difficult to find and streets too narrow for a car. Price was the same as other bed and breakfasts in the vacinity however did not include breakfast. |

The hotel was very Clean and well designed and quirky. Mario was brilliant and recommended some excellent places to eat and his orientation meeting when you first arrive comes with a beer. |

The brand new Marmont Hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Split, only one minute away from Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. |
