Hotel Bastion    

The whole staff was wonderful, thanks to all of them! They were friendly and solved all of our needs / answered all of our questions. We had a great time being there!

The room was a little bit too small but really nice. The spa should be free of charge.

They hotel had a fabulous boutique design - it was a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very polite and helpful, making you feel very welcome in their country.

Needs a little of refurbishing; new carpets, wall corners bent off, shower has a little leak, nothing big but just to keep up with reputation

Nice hotel, centrally located in Zadar, near Sea Organ and in old town. The staff was extremely friendly. Lovely bedrooms. Good breakfast.

The hotel was extremely easy to find. We were travelling by car from Plitvice and from the moment we exited the freeway there were signs telling us where the hotel was located, it really was a great help. The hotel is extremely comfortable with a good courtyard to sit out and enjoy the surrounds over a drink. The facilities of the hotel were quite good and the room relatively comfortable.

The one thing that I did not like about Hotel Bastion was the proximity of it to a number of nightclubs. We stayed on a weekend and I can tell you that we did not get a wink of sleep because of the constant noise of the music at the nightclub. My only recommendation would be to try and not stay at the hotel on a weekend.

The location was great as it was near the Old Town and organ. The hotel is a really nice property, we had a suite and it was beautiful. Good breakfast that was included.

The only problem we had was wifi didn't work in the room.

Location. Parking very easy and free. Wasn't led to believe that about parking: pay, insecure, distant from hotel.

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Zadar's old city. A short walk from all the sights, including our favorite the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun. Attentive staff, quality spa, and excellent restaurant.

Nic, cosy hotel, centrally locaded in Zader. The staff was extremely kind and went out of their way to make sure we had a peasant stay. I can really reccomend the Bastion.

Good location, close to everything in Zadar.

The terrasse in front of the hotel is very noisy! Air conditioning could not be regulated and the flow was too hard and directly on the bed.

We arrived very late but still the staff were very welcoming and even held a table in the restaurant for us. For me its those touches that make the difference.

This is an excellent hotel! It is right on the waterfront where the ferries dock and in the old town of Zadar. They have parking on their property, which is important because parking is a nightmare in this pedestrian- only part of the city. Zadar itself is a beautiful town, and the Hotel Bastion is an excellent choice if you are visiting this city.

Two very small points on the down-side: I find their prices a little high for Croatia, where prices do tend to be lower than western Europe, and second, their breakfast buffet is a little spartan compared to other 4 star hotels I have stayed at in other cities. Overall though, an excellent choice, with outstanding staff and amenities.

The hotel is ideally situated to explore the historical city of Zadar. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms clean and very comfortable. The whole family enjoyed the experience.

Nothing - all was good.

Great location in the old town of Zadar and near the main attractions. Great 'grown up' looking interior, a bit decadent and not too over stylised. The hotel had a lovey calming atmosphere, which made for a restful couple of days. Nice sized standard room, very clean, comfy bed...couldn't fault the bedroom. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Spent a couple of hours out of the heat, chilling in the shade on the terrace, supping the best Caipirinha of the holiday. I used the facilities of the Spa and had a very relaxing foot pedicure from the beauticians. I wish I could remember her name, as she was very attentive and did amazing job with my tootsies and was inexpensive.

Bastion is a great hotel in a great town. Its amazingly located right next to the Garden bar & Arsenal club and pretty much right on the harbour front in the old town. The room was good sized and contained all that we needed. The Spa downstairs was amazing and the restaurant served fantastic food & wine. Breakfast was also lovely. Staff were so helpful and spoke perfect English. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

I think if this hotel just improved on a couple of things it would make the jump to 5*. The tv needs to contain full International channels as most of the channels were in German. Also for a luxury hotel there should have been robes in the room.

Perfect location in the centre of Zadar and very convenient for taking the catamaran/ferry to the islands.

They gave me free parking even though there is normally a 10 euro charge.

The top floor room had a slopped roof making it smaller. It also had poor lighting and they would not change my room. They would not check me in until 2 PM, their check-in time, even though the hotel was slow. The breakfast was poor (selection, layout, service). Overvalued. We left after one night.
