The Hotel Pastura can be found right on the beach in Postira on the island of Brač, close to the center of the village, and features a freshwater outdoor pool.
Score from 42 reviews Wonderful
Hotel San Antonio is located right on the beach, 5 miles east of Split in Podstrana. The spacious, air-conditioned rooms feature free Wi-Fi, marble bathrooms and balconies with sea views.
Score from 207 reviews Very good
Le Méridien Lav is the only 5-star resort in Split. In Podstrana, 5 miles south of Split, it has a 875 yard long beach line, landscaped grounds and it overlooks the city and the surrounding islands.

Very nice hotel with great location and friendly people.
They did not have credit card facilities and Wifi was not working.
- The room was nicely decorated and very big - the room was clean - I asked, in advance, for a bottle of sparkling wine for the birthday of my boyfriend. It was no problem and the sparkling wine was very nice. - We had our own terrace (almost on the beach) - the view was extraordinary. It was only a 5 m walk to the sea.
New very small hotel, very close to the beach and in a quiet location, convenient to visit Split or the surrounding area.
Rooms are a bit small, with just a tiny closet. Park view is actually a car-park view. Pool and breakfast in the hotel nearby.
We had excellent large room on the 3rd flow with terrace and sea view. Very friendly personnel and excellent attitude to guests!!! Location is just on the beach. Really a lovely hotel!
Jacuzzi could have been cleaned better - when we arrived one could not say it was clean.
The staff is very nice. You can chose from lots of delicious meals at breakfast.
There is no possibility to pay with bank card. The countervalue must be paid in cash.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to split and wants to be close enough to the city, yet enjoy some relaxing time by the beach. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice, especially Ornella which was very helpful and kind. I would definitely go back to this hotel!
The location was fantastic, right on the beach, a short drive to interesting towns such as Trogir and Omis. The room was really tastefully decorated and staff were incredibly helpful. Would definitely go back
Breakfast buffet is poor, Also they don't accept credit card, which was a bit of a pain
Easy access to the beach and some good restaurants nearby. The receptionist was very helpful and did all she could to make the stay pleasant. The rooms themselves are modern and have good features such as air conditioning and spa bath.
The hotel is difficult to find. It is classed as a 4* hotel but is really only rooms with no facilities- all facilities described are actually in another nearby hotel. We had booked a balcony room with park view, when we arrived we were given a room with a walled terrace and no view. When we complained we were moved to a sea view room but were originally asked to pay more. This was an excellent room with a good view but was only available for one night. We were then moved to a "park view" room. This was actually a "car park view" and a very small room. So we opted for the walled terrace as the best option. In the room the safe was not fastened down, and when we were there neither internet nor most satellite channels worked. This hotel is not as described and is definitely not 4*. If you can get a sea view room it may be ok because of the location. Breakfast was served in the next hotel and was of poor quality e.g. Cordial instead of juice, and milk warm as it was not in a cooled place. Overall a very disappointing experience.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and furnishings were of high quality. Position on concrete and shingle 'beach' was convenient.
Buffet breakfast at the Hotel San Antonio was adequate though the evening meals were poor to average as well as costly. Staff seemed disinterested for the most part and service was slow and not coordinated. Excellent food and service could be had at Podstrana Marina in Leoni's and Scampino'S. Lessons could be learned from them!
Location, nice and quiet, good for couples or families with children 10+, staff was very friendly and service minded. We recommend this hotel!
Good location right on the beach, very friendly staff, good breakfast (glad they invested in a new coffee machine :-) ), nice sauna/pool area on the roof-top.
There seems to be a problem with the ventilation, so often there is a very disturbing kitchen smell at the wellness area/pool. Also, at least in the off-season, there is limited choice of food (the restaurant doesn't even offer the pizzas they have on their menu).
on the beach
Firstly it was difficult to find as there is not a sign with the advertised hotel name!! It is off to the side of another hotel (the San Antonio or something along those lines) and the hotel is on the side of it, though it uses the amenities of the larger hotel - including restaurant and spa. When we arrived, they didn't have the room that we booked for and wanted us to move rooms each night which we didn't want. They offered us a smaller room with no view (though we purchased a room with sea view). They would not reduce the rate to a non-view room, so ended up giving us a larger room. The restaurant on premise is incredibly over-priced. We ate there our first night, decent food, but then the next night went over to the Meridian hotel (5 stars and much more fancy) and paid HALF the price!!!! and MUCH better food. I can say that the service at their restaurant was quite good though. Complimentary breakfast is not so good.
Everything was OK about the room
The owner. When we arrived, the hotel was empty, nobody on reception, and when we were going, we had to wait for someone to come for 10 min. to pay.
Nice hotel...the room is so nice specially the bed is so comfort. I strongly suggest this hotel
