Amazing in all respects, probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at - also one of the most expensive - but worth the splurge if you can afford it for a couple of nights. Spa could win the award as the most beautiful veiw from a hot-tub in the world. breakfast could be more generous to bring it up to the rest of the standard across the hotel.

Been back several times to this beautiful hotel. Staff is awesome, very friendly and accomodating. Added bonus was a lack of kids during our stay - please don't ruin this lovely hotel by bringing your children!

A wonderful Hotel, great staff, nice food, great beach and a stroll to the Old City. Not a complaint, but may I suggest to Hotel Management that it would be good to have a few more traditional Dalmatian meal options on the menu....we mostly ate out because the menu was very "modern International"....and we can eat this anywhere.

nice view - not from all rooms; comfortable rooms; very nice staff (concierge and messenger/courier); good breakfast; good welcome; parking lot very near the hotel the recepcionists are not friendly, i paid for a room with sea view and they put me in a room (701) with sky view, the recepcionist wasn't nice when i asked to change rooms, they weren't nice during the check in and check out either; the shower and air conditioning could be much better;

I liked the service, reception very pleasant, Guy called Robert was most helpfull . Good location, with excellant views of the beech and the coast. Cleaning standard was poor. Dust under the bed and furniture. Bedroom slippers were all same size, much to big for a woman! Hotel beach was full of cigarettes ends and could have been kept cleaner. If smoking is to be allowed you need to fit some ashtrays and put up signs prohibitting people throwing cigarettes ends and rubbish

great hotel, 5 star service, beautiful view of the bay good size rooms, all of them with seaview. expensive, but then all of them are in dubrovnik. i liked the fact that it wasn't too big (for example i find dubrovnik palace too impersonal). attentive staff. i would recommend it to others. staff overall very helpful apart from one blonde concierge lady who acted like we were inconveniencing her every time we asked a question; she wasn't particularly knowledgeable either. she was the only black mark for the entire hotel, the others were very nice and helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel. Excellent service (very professional, but not warm). Beautiful view. Privacy guaranteed for a romantic getaway. Walking distance from the old town. Excellent access to a beach (not private, but not needed). Excellent food (small selection) - all of high quality (the banana tart with chocolate mousse has to be the best dessert I have ever tried). It is expensive. But well worth the splurge. Service, albeit excellent , is a little inpersonal. The view of the beach and see is marvellous, but I was disappointed to find that I could not see the old town as it was blocked by a peninsula. Not the hotel's fault though!

the beach and beach facilities 1. No draft beer in the terrace bar. 2. Lights set up of the terrace bar - high lamps on the sides of terrace distract from viewing the sea and stars in the night. It might be better to take out the lights from the fence of the terrace and position them closer to the building walls.

We arrived here for the second half of our Croatia holiday from Villas Kolocep on Kalamota and the hotel and service from the staff was in a different league, as it should be for 5 stars from 3, but they absolutely excelled themselves with the friendly, nothing is too much trouble, attitude and welcome that we received. We had a delux suite which seemed better than what I had booked (an executive) was nicely furnished, immaculately clean, 2 bathrooms and a really decent amount of space. If I am being picky the balconies are a bit small and even though a suite the same size as all the other rooms have. All rooms seem to face the beach which is nice and we were at the end of a small hallway and hardly heard anyone else at all. Breakfast is very good but the lunch menu at the beach is limited. The water polo pitch next to the beach is very loud and the beach is packed with local teenagers which isn't as relaxing as it looks like it should be before they descend! Our only complaint was that when we arrived our rooms had a very strong smell of stale smoke from the previous occupants (everyone smokes here it seems) but the staff were very speedy to bring a selection of scented candles and do everything they could to make us happier about it. Within 24 hours it had gone. The beach restaurant team are less friendly than efficient than the rest too but the standard is very high upstairs!

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and eager to please us with not only hotel amenities and services, but advice and information for "out of the way " excursions of the beautiful country of Croatia. I thought the lobby area, spa area and restaurant area very lovely and up to par with a five star rating. However, I felt that the room eventhough immaculately clean, was not commesurate with a five star rating. It was an ordinary room that you would find at a moderately priced hotel. I also found the rocky beach littered with ciggerate butts. Not nice when you place your towel on that. The hotel is fine as long as you do not pay a premium price during the high season as we did. Maybe you will feel like you received satisfactory value for your money.

The rooms are the best bit of the stay. If you are going for a beach holiday you will only get the sun from 6:30 to 16:00. Has a little bay and only 15 mins walk from old town, or one bus ride (buses stop around 24:00)

A fantastic hotel withy really helpful and amicable staff. Robert's live music venue recommendation was fantastic and just what we were looking for. Amazing location! Very small down points i.e. old movies on pay per view in the room and quite expensive at £8 a pop. Gym is small.

Service was excellent throughout. Room was large, relatively high ceilings which gave an airy, light feel to the room, and had a lovely view out over the coast. Very nice L'Occitane toiletries too. Breakfast delicious full range of hot and cold fare. The set up at the hotel beach is excellent with loungers set up on a raised patio above the public beach below. The beach was excellent overall, busy but not too busy - but make sure you don't leave it too late as it loses the sun by about 4pm. Indoor pool, sauna and spa etc also excellent. Restaurant is pricey but we went on our last night and enjoyed the best food of our holiday (the fish dishes in particular were excellent) accompanied with some croatian sparking wine which was also surprisingly good. Overall very happy but to nitpick the tv and other electronic systems in the room were very temperamental (eg tv kept turning itself off), the water pressure for the shower was surprisingly poor and the coffee at breakfast was not good given what a nation of coffee-lovers Croatia is.

Excellent view and nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast very good. Well placed with just a 15 minute walk to the old City. Lack of sunbeds withy several broken - found it strange that such a high dolar hotel would have cheap sunbeds.

Hotel Bellevue was our first stop in Croatia. Originally, we were looking to stay at Hotel Imperial, but it was not available. We were much happier at Bellevue as they have amazing beach access and a wonderful breakfast. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the Adriatic sea and swimming in the peaceful cove. The hotel was a very short 8-10 minute walk into Dubrovnik or an easy/convienent bus ride. We returned to Dubrovnik for two nights on our return and tried to rebook, but it was sold out. HINT: we had a great deck attached to the room (a slight angle, but beautiful), BUT there are a few rooms with no deck. It wouldn't be the end of the world, but the I make sure you get a deck).
