Pleasant helpful staff. The hotel is smart, modern and pristine. Sea views from room, reception and terrace. Good facilities - spa treatments, sauna, gym, pool, beach, beach restaurant. Free wireless. Laptop hire. Private airport transfers at reasonable cost. The main barman whom I presume was the bar manager was excellent at his job and is a huge asset to the hotel.[no we're not related :) ] It would be unfair to criticize too much - this is a fine hotel - though most of the criticisms made by other reviewers are valid. The hotel is very nice but needs to do more to exceed expectations and truly be 5 star. Ticking the boxes (restaurant, pool, spa, etc) and charging 5 star prices doesn't make it 5 star. Can you really compare the Bellevue to Gleneagles or Imperial in Osaka or any of the great 5 star hotels of the world. They could put "free" water in the rooms even if only for the arrival of the guests. They could vary the dining menu. They could make the bar menu more obvious instead of making guests believe the dining room is the only option. The buffet breakfast could be improved. Cold meats and cheeses are laid out on a table with no cover and no chiller. They should make it more obvious that they will cook breakfast fresh for guests. As a rule they present it as buffet only. A review of the staff uniform (yucky brown!) would be a good idea, and smarten up the maitre d' please! Nevertheless this is still a very good very comfortable hotel which I would recommend. You will struggle to find better in Dubrovnik |

The hotel has great views over the bay and an excellent private beach. The staff are very helpful. It is on the pricey side and the spa facilities are slightly disappointing - luke warm turkish bath and small indoor poor. |

The best thing about the hotel is the sea view, that you have from your room, and from the restaurants (breakfast also) and the fact that you have almost a private beach for you. The cleanliness and the comfort are also high points. The water in this beach was the dirtiest I saw in all Croatia, and they could do a better scramble eggs at breakfast. We were also on our honey moon and they didn't do anything special like flowers on the bed, breakfast at our room or anything like this, which other hotels at the same category did (small things that make the moment special), but they did put us in a better room which was really... |

Our room was very comfortable & the view from the balcony down to the beach & out to the sea was fantastic. The lift from the hotel lobby down to the beach is perfect. The Breakfast buffet was very good & there was plenty to choose from. Dubrovnik Old Town is only about a 20min walk It would have been nice to have more options for food in the evening. We were directed by staff to the fine dining restaurant which appeared to be the only option for dinner. The steak was good though. |

Good location. Friendly staff made our stay very pleasant. Clean room with lovely view. Spa nice when hotel quiet but too small and not enough facilities when hotel became busier at weekend. Room small and dark. Spa and pool unable to cope with anything other than a very quiet hotel, therefore unusable at most times.Facilities such as beach restaurant and bar not in use during our stay. This was not mentioned on the hotel details advertisment. |

The hotel was clean and comfortable. You could hear the sound of the sea waves every night, which was very relaxing. We booked the hotel due to Lonely Planet's recommendation, which said "5 minutes walk from the pile gate". But there is no way you could reach the pile gate in 5 minutes without any transportation. |

Holiday was during Birthday, hotel provided cake in the morning to the room without prior notice about the birthday. Very helpful staff, friendly (at breakfast, at reception etc.). Rooms are excellent and very comfortable. Great view. Free wifi in rooms. Parking fees of 25 euro (therefore hotel parking not used, but within season difficult to find spot). |

Hotel is very convenient just 15 minutes walk to the old town and on main bus routes. The position of my room was fabulous with a balcony overlooking the sea and a private beach. Indoor pool, gym and sauna all top notch. Cool cocktails and uber-sophisticated bar snacks in the Spice Bar lounge. |

Location to the old city, 20 min walk. Pleasent and helpfull staff. Dinner menu was of a poor selection. Descriptions did not always match the food served. Consider the food and drinks are over priced. |

fantastic location near the sea like the scene in "Wuthering Heights" :);, very helpful staff who called some restaurants to see whether they were open in the low season, bottle of fine wine as a welcome drink, L'Occitane en Provance bathroom amenities, food decorations, delicious breakfast, superb spa with magnificent view... one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, truly a 5* hotel |
