Friendly service, clean hotel, good harbour views

No common room/bar room to relax in. Bleak dining room.

The rooms at The Berkeley are clean, modern, very comfortable and well equipped. The location is ideal for the port of Dubrovnik yet only a short bus ride to the town centre. The staff were superb - very helpful and well informed. I would definitely recomment this hotel.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. English was spoken by everyone and made life a lot easier. The breakfast provided a welcome start to the day.

It was a little noisy- our room faced the front overlooking the road. However will all shutters and doors closed it did block out the sound quite a lot.

The staff were so friendly, They went that extra mile to make sure we had a great time in Dubrovnik. The rooms were large and had everything you could need. Top place to stay.

The pool wasnt open, as we stayed in april and it didnt open until May, but that was no big deal.

Goo facilities and a good location for exploring Dubrovnik. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast.

The staff were great. They were very friendly and extremely helpful! The breakfast was great too. The hotel was close to all public transport - buses and ferries. Within walking distance to the old city.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Berkeley. They arranged a private transfer for us from the airport to the hotel and from the moment we stepped into arrivals until we said our goodbyes the staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely honest in helping us find best value things to do and restaurant recommendations. We were only there three nights but would love to have stayed longer.

The location in Gruz Harbour is a bus journey away from the old town - buses are frequent and pleasant to use, so not a problem, but there is not much to do in Gruz itself, especially in the evenings if like us you visit out of season.

the staff were so nice and helpful they just made everything so easy for us helping us book trips give us directions to all the places we wanted to go. p.s the breakfeast was fab everyday.

Very helpful staff. Fab location near port which has couple of good bars. Well placed for bus to old town. Sorted out transfers to and from airport for us being a group of five. Great value overall and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast choice was a little limited but found what was available great quality and just right when we wanted to enjoy authentic Croatian cuisine locally. Not really a negative I have to say.

Location, staff and car parking

My reservation for a bay view was not complied with although the manager did write me a letter of apology and the price reduced.

Staff - were very pleasant and always ready to help, offering tips and suggestions about interesting places around Dubrovnik and what can be done. Location - The hotel might seem slightly out of way at first, but once you realize that it's just a short walk away from the port, the bus station and some good restaurants you will appreciate it's location. (You can also buy bus tickets from the hotel so that you won't have to worry about that). Hotel - The hotel was very welcoming, with the rooms actually bigger than what was expected even after viewing the photos, having great views, and a general good feel about it.

the fact that breakfast is only served till 9:30am and that the cleaning lady always leave the balcony door open after cleaning the room. We understood that this was done to freshen the air, however since there is no netting, we ended up with a couple of uninvited mosquitoes in our room.

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the ferry terminal. It was better than we expected from the web site. The rooms were spacious, clean, simply designed, comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. The front desk staff were helpful and informative. The breakfast was excellent (hot options at no extra cost). We did not realise there was a pool, which was an added bonus but sadly did not get the chance to use it as we were only there for one transit night to catch the ferry.

We thought it most peculiar that they did not allow us to use the pool after the 11am check out, as we had some hours before our ferry, that has never happened to us before, especially as no one else was using it!

Loved the cooked to order breakfast - always hot and tasty. The coffee was also very good. The bathroom had some drawers, storage space, and hooks which most hotels neglect to include these days. Would be nice if hotel would provide two luggage racks most people travel in two'S. The empty refrigerator was a real bonus. I was able to keep my bottled water, wine, and fruit cold. The proximity to the port was excellent as our friends were taking the ferry to Italy after our stay.

The entrance is very blah and lackluster. There is only a small sign indicating that it is the Berkeley hotel. The curb appeal is lacking. Would be nice if I could purchase the 3-day tourist pass at the hotel or be made aware of it by the staff. It was an excellent buy with admission to many attractions, a free bottle of wine or 10% discount at many restaurants both local and in the old town, bus transportation, and more.

Staff very helpful and obliging. Excellent position for ferry port, only being a few minutes downhill walk. Rooftop swimming pool and honesty bar for cold drinks at pool. Would happily stay here again if only for the breakfast!

A 1a, 1b or 3 bus to Old City can be caught at ferry port, only minutes from hotel. Buses can get very crowded particularly on the return journey.

Ils sont disponibles 24h/24 Hotel bien situé à moins de dix minutes en bus de la vieille ville. l'arrêt de bus étant au pied de l'hôtel. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. notre chambre était équipée d'une cuisine avec de la vaisselle et tout l'équipement nécessaire

Le petit déjeuner. Pas mauvais mais pas beaucoup de choix à la carte. Quelques fourmis dans la cuisine qui se baladent. Contraste avec le reste de la chambre est très propre
