A modern bathing place, mostly new-built houses. Do not expect traditional houses, old streets. Several beaches in the area, even medieval ruins and deserted rocky beach in walking distance (1-2 km) from the center. The bay is protected from big waves.

Quiet place, still not overcrowded even in July and August, good Krka store, possibility to go to Crikvenica by boat, good market place with fresh fruits and vegetables, comfortable beach with changing rooms. Very friendly place to eat - Riviera especially their tomato soup! It is rather easily to get around Šilo.

Nice and mostly quiet location for families with smaller children. Also dog owners will find their place to enjoy the sun and sea together. Many shops and good restaurants. The nightlife is calm and our stay was not disturbed by anything.

Very nice quiet small city on the island Krk, just couple of minutes drive from sv. Marak Beach or Vrbnik city. But also you can find everything in this small town...great restaurants (I would recommend bistro Macao), regarding beaches, sandy beach right in the city, with just a few minutes walk you can enter also lots of other beaches...and the water, the water was crystal clear.

A beautiful peaceful little village on the sea, with apartment houses, no hotels and few good places to eat. Beaches in Šilo are stunning with crystal clear turquoise water. There is also a camp site and a really nice beach for dogs. For eating we recommend, Bistro Macao.

Nice city, It is close to Krk and Baska as well.
Nice city, It is close to Krk and Baska as well. So, one evening we went to Krk to take a walk around the city (Silo is very very calm and quite, so in case you are into something more dynamic going to Krk for an evening walk is a good option). Baska is 40 minutes from Silo ans is absolutely breathtaking. I guess Silo is a good option because it is cheaper but still close to a lot of other cities. The sea is great and as it is a small city you can walk around it so easily. It is very easy to arrive there as it is very close to the bridge that connects the island to the mainland.

Very nice apartment with everything we needed. Very friendly host showed us everything. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. Very close to the main beach (about 3 minutes) but there was also no problem reaching other beaches (max.15 minute walk). Silo is a quiet and pleasant city, perfect for relaxing and admiring the beauty of Krk island.

Very very clean. If I could I would give 100 points. Mobile house that we had was very big, with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms plus living space with kitchen area. We spent most of the time outside on the terrace. For a family with small baby definetly the best choice for vacation as the beach is so close, water very clean and easy access. Nice walk to the center of Silo.

- This is probably the best location in Silo. Short walking distance from everything. Great view from the balcony. It's right above a restaurant terrace, but that does not bother me. (Closed at 23:00.) - Kind and nice owner. They even refused to let us pay for the first drink we had in their restaurant below on the first day. Thank you for that.

We liked the hotel very much. Very comfortable and clean apartments, which are equipped with everything you need. There are a lot of accompanying services. In our case the weather was rainy and cool and after a long day of traveling around the island we had a great pleasure to visit the sauna. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant vacation.

Very friendly owner, she gave us beach tips and cooked some yummy food for us. Great Terrasse with view, comfortable bed, functional kitchen and bathroom. Cosy and small apartment. Close to all restaurants and beach in Silo.we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, clean and well equipped room located near the beaches and centre of Silo. Nice garden where we could have breakfast and rest. Amazing host- lovely lady who made our stay even better! Definitely recommended! :)

The location was incredible, Šilo is a lovely destination, not crowded, rather quiet place to stay. Nice local people, always friendly and helpful. Water and little beaches are clean. Apartement had a full furnishment.

The property is absolutely ideally located with a very short walk to the beach and is comfortable and spacious. I would say Silo is an ideal holiday destination for families with very young children.

The host Uri, was so kind and friendly, and we had so much fun in Šilo and Krk. A wonderful location (right next to the supermarket) and a short walk to the beach. This was a lovely holiday!
