Bungalows Korana (Campsite Korana)  

It was perfect!

The bungalow we stayed in was nice and secure. The shower facilities were pristine and new. The location was brilliant and really easy to get to the lakes. The breakfast also included in the bungalow cost was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helped where possible.

We thought the shop and restaurant were over priced. We chose to eat up the road in the evening because the restaurants lights were out, there was no staff around and it effectively looked closed despite it saying it was open 7am-11pm, this may have been because we travelled outside of the season.

Absolutely stunning location, the bungalows are basic but comfortable.

It's the best organized camp i've ever been in. Nice, friendly atmosphere. The showers have boiling hot water and the surroundings are quiet and relaxing.

The shower doors open to the inside, so you have to undress before you step into the shower. That way you may freeze before the water hits you :)) and it's really uncomfortable to dress too. The restaurant has the feel of an oldish communist management (the waiters are dressed in suites and pretty grumpy while they survey from the shadows what you eat). I had for about 15 kn a mushroom soup that was actually instant soup that you can buy for 3 kn in the grocery store, but half the quantity...

The bungalows were great, good size with balcony and comfy beds. Toilets and showers were not too far away and the shower was the best I've had at a campsite - lots of hot water and great water pressure. There's a well stocked market, ATM, bar and large restaurant. Breakfast was included and was great for a continental Buffett! The surroundings were beautiful!

Upon check out the staff member who served me told me the cost of my stay was 249 kuna. I was well aware that €32 = 237kuna so I queried the extra cost. Rather than simply tell me that the room rate didn't include city tax (of 6 kuna per person per night and therefore explain the additional 12 kuna) he condescendingly advised me that I was "paying in kuna not euros", then when i said i know im paying in kuna but € 32 = 237 kuna not 249 so what's the extra costs he told me that the i was wrong and the room rate was €34 a night. Finally when I said I had a piece of paper that said €32 he rolled his eyes and sighed and advised me of the city tax. Now I admit I forgot about the city tax but I feel his attitude was appalling. The conversation should have lasted less than 30 seconds with me querying the extra 12 kuna and him telling me it was the city tax. In addition he slammed my passports on the counter with my receipt and change. It won't stop me from visiting again but I found it quite disappointing.

it's a beautiful, very clean and peaceful camping site (despite being so close to the popular Plitvice lakes). the breakfast was delicious!

There's everything you need in Campsite Korana. And nothing is too much. Bungalows have two single beds, two chairs, a table and a plug. Outside, there's a bank. You can get wi-fi near the restaurant. Shower and the toilets are very clean. Lighting is good enough to find your way.

There should be an option if you want a bungalow with two single beds or a double sized bed. The breakfast could be richer.

Bungalows don t have toilet!! You need to use camping facilities.

The bathroom facilities are very clean, as are the bungalow rooms. It was nice to be outdoors.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Some more fresh fruit and better hot item options would make a huge difference.

Only one shuttle bus to/from Plitvice Lakes each day

We stayed at one of the bungalows at Camp Korana for 2 nights when visiting Plitvice National Park. It's a small bungalow with two single beds. They have a bus which takes you to Plitvice at 9am and returns at 5pm, perfect for a full day to hike both the upper and lower parks. They also have a restaurant, cafe bar and small market. It was good for the price and all the staff were very nice. Also, if you happen to be coming by bus, you can ask the bus driver to stop at the campground.

The restaurant is just okay, we would recommend walking down the main road about a half mile to the restaurant outside of the campground. Bring earplugs because we could hear dogs barking all night from a nearby home.

Close to plitvice NP which sent free buses to pick up campers at 9 and returned at 5. Restaurant staff were cheerful. Included breakfast was a good one.

Market staff were impolite. Reception staff were misleading regarding where to catch ongoing buses to Zadar.

We like the concept of staying at the campsite and the advertising video made it look like so much fun. They served breakfast which is a plus also! The rooms were very cosy too. Worth it just for the experience!

We arrived late in the night and the path up to the toilets werent lit so we couldnt really see where we were going. It would have been good if they gave us torchlights maybe attached to the keys? The toilets were also quite far from our bungalows. The breakfast served wasnt much of a variety.

stuff and breakfast was great! loved it. we stayed at bungalows- well you cant expect much from the one small room with two beds- but the nature was so near to you and so beautiful. for camping site- it was really, really good.

Staff are friendly. The facilities are kept clean. Bar, and Restaurant add a nice sociable addition. Mini-market is a lot bigger than expected, and has a large variety to purchase.

There are no kitchen facilities available onsite (for those hiring the bungalows). Also the grill was not open as it was not yet 'peak' season.

It was a nice campground and pretty good breakfast. Dinner at the paid restaurant was also good and at acceptable prices. Nice place and good value overall. Ask the bus driver to drop you there when arriving, then walk down hill under sign for kamp korana.

Wifi is only by the main info office and theres lots of people hanging around at times to connect. It's a large campground so things are spaced out somewhat far depending where you are staying, e.g. bungalows. Wish the doors to bungalows were fully covered... they only have louvres.

It was close to Plitvice Lakes and is simple and well priced. Facilities are basic but acceptable. Surroundings were nice with restaurant and bar right on the premises.

The description of their location was not accurate. They are located at Catrnja, which is about a 10 minute drive north of Plitvička Jezera. Wifi was not available throughout the site.

Very nice campsite, well maintained. Plenty of hot water in the bathrooms, the restaurant personal was marvelous, food was good. Breakfast (included in price) was copious and varied.

All the drawback that a person would expect of a campsite - small bungalows with no comfort whatsoever, bathrooms are outside, it may get cold in the night.

j'ai beaucoup apprécié la propreté des lieux, la gentillesse du personnel... le petit déjeuner "continental" à volonté compris dans le prix du bungalow...

il manque dans les douches de quoi poser ses vêtements et affaires de toilette... sinon très propres..... et les bungalow restent très très simples, aucun autre ameublement que les lits, une petite table et deux chaises.....
