In an ideal location for exploring rural Istria, our family-owned hotel offers a rugged and warm farmhouse ambience with natural stone walls, wooden beams and open fireplaces.

We offer utmost relaxation and peace in a perfect spot for discovering the beautiful surrounding hills, the historical towns of Motovun and Grožnjan, and the popular coastal resorts, which are just 10 km away. We will help to arrange cycling, hiking and art tours to suit your interests. We also organise trips to local wine cellars and restaurants for you. However, you can also savour the traditions and delicacies of Istrian cuisine in our own cosy restaurant and, on warm evenings, dine under the stars on our outdoor terrace. Choose from our well-stocked wine cellar to make your dining experience complete.

Hotel information

Our hotel is located on the Parenzana, a disused Austro Hungarian railway line which once connected Trieste with Poreč. The old railway is currently under restoration as a bike trail and passes through 3 countries: Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.

Food & beverage

In our restaurant, Konoba, we offer traditional regional delicacies such as Čripnja - roast meat or fish and potatoes cooked in a cast iron pot on an open hearth fire.

During the right season, truffles are hunted locally; don’t miss your chance to taste this well-known aphrodisiac from our specials menu. Our cuisine culture is based on providing natural, healthy food, prepared and served in a traditional yet sophisticated way.

The young staff member was outstanding. He provided a verbal menu that catered to our varying food tastes delivered in excellent English. This led us to dine in the wonderful tranquil gardens at every opportunity. A very peaceful stay.

The room was very warm and could have benefited from a fan.

the breakfast was great and the staff was well known english and was very nice

their wasnt an air condition. i was quite an ordinary room and the price was very high to this kind of room

The building, staff, food and room were lovely. The hotel is in a village with 11 other houses nearby. You can walk to remnants of the Austro-Hungarian railway and the hotel has a lot of artifacts from this railway. The staff was attentive and the room was beautiful. Very comfortable.

There was no air-conditioning and with some very warm weather (above 95 degrees), that made sleeping a little difficult.

´L´acceuil est chaleureux, l´hotel est charmant et bien localise. La cuisine est excellente.

L´environnement est un peu ordinaire avec des entrepots a proximite.

Die Ruhelage, das Ambiente und die freundliche Atmosphäre, die gute Küche, die angenehme Terrasse

Das WC und die Duschtasse waren sehr sauber. Die Sauberkeit im Bad sollte verbessert werden (Boden, Wandfliesen, Duschverbau).
