Castelletto is a little gem of a B&B run by a very capable and helpful staff. They also had a free Airport Shuttle, which we needed early in the AM. The setting and balconies for each room were delightful.

    Nothing.

The staff could not be more helpful. They go the extra mile to provide excellent service. This includes a free airport pick-up, free use of beach mats and when the weather turned poor umbrellas were available for guests. It is so near the airport we will even consider retiring for a long weekend!

    We should have stayed longer!

Katrina, Dean and staff are great hosts. The breakfast is excellent as was the room and view (deluxe double). There is free wifi and free transport - a great idea.

Although the location is fabulous there is a very steep walk from the port! Buses are available hourly.

My partner and I were most impressed with Hotel Castelletto. It's quite small and for us that was part of the charm - no all-inclusive package holidays, kids clubs or evening entertainment - just a comfortable place to relax at the end of a day exploring Cavtat and the surrounding area. The customer service at this hotel is first rate; the staff are really friendly and happy to do all they can to help. We were offered free airport transfers, given advice about trips and local restaurants and greeted every morning with a friendly smile! As other reviews have stated, the hotel is at the top of a hill but we didn't find this a problem; we had a good view from our balcony which more than made up for the walk. Also some reviews mention noise from overhead aircraft. I think that this would actually be true of any hotel in Cavtat as the town is under the flight path. We certainly weren't bothered by it and would highly recommend Hotel Castelletto to anyone looking for a quieter hotel in this beautiful town!

This was our second visit to Castelletto. Christina and Dean are wonderful hosts - full of great tips for trips out and always willing to help. The lounge has useful facilities - beach towels, mats parasols and books make the stay really relaxing. Breakfasts are good and the rooms beautifully cleaned by Zoritsa. Beverley and Robin - Belfast

    Leaving!

It was lovely. The owner was as sweet and helpful as can be. It was very quaint and pretty.

It was a bit of a walk from town. Going down was fine. Going up a bit of a hike. I enjoyed the walk, but it would be a challenge for someone out of shape. Though there is a frequent bus.

I would recommend Castelletto to anyone travelling to the lovely destination of Cavtat. In budgetary terms this is a reasonable alternative to the larger more well known hotels in the region. Staff are exemplary in how they execute their duties in particular the "one woman band who makes your breakfast and maintains your room to the standard you might expect from yourself in a completely understated manner". Dean ,Christine and Sanya are the most hospitable hosts one would ask for .

The hill walk from the town to the hotel is necessary but arduos. Some thought could be devoted to this issue in terms of tourism and town planning. More steps would help. It is a fitness regime to work off the excesses but maybe a timetabled shuttle service would provide an alternative for some.

We needed a place for one night and the place was a good choice and good value.

Accommodation is 5 - 10 min from a town center / marina but going back you need to climb quite steep hill which could be a bit exhausting... If u are not fit :-)

Staff were very nice, location was good, just a short walk to town centre. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices. Nice facilities with little extras like sun creams and books, very handy.

The pool is tiny, you could certainly cool off in it but you couldn't swim in it. Our room was smaller than we expected, we did upgrade to a deluxe room but really our room was just a standard size, quite average.

The staff were extremely friendly and were very concerned to provide a high level of service.

Some areas of the hotel could do with some updating, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Helpful and pleasant staff. Quiet. Air conditioned bedroom. Good choice for breakfast. Tea/coffee making facilities in room.

No lock on balcony door and the doors wouldn't close. Very rusty shelving in shower. Toilet difficult to flush. Small shower/toilet room. Safe not working. TV remote not working. Wi-Fi not working in bedroom. Bedding fresh & clean, but most other areas needed a good clean.

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts in a lovely location. The hotel has very good facilities but they go out of their way to help with additional touches such as providing piles of beach towels and beach accessories for loan. Cavtat is a lovely town with good access to Dubrovnik and probably makes a better base than Dubrovnik itself as you do not have to battle the hordes of cruise ship passengers (which really ruin Dubrovnik) and touts every day.

There is a big package holiday hotel in Cavtat so it can be quite difficult to get away from crowds of predominantly British holidaymakers.
