Very helpful and people very friendly

Long walk from the centre

Everything! The hotel is fabulous - really well placed (actually at the top of a steep hill but we really enjoyed walking home at the end of a day) with a view into Dubrovnik offering fantastic sunsets. The managers - Kristina and Dean were absolutely terrific. We really appreciated the way that they helped our holiday. From bringing a baby chair from home to supplying lifts and advice they were fantastic!

There are a lot of stairs and it is at the top of a hill but we liked the situation (with a baby and pregnant wife - so not lightly).

The room was tidy and the staff was really friendly. They made us feel really welcomed. We also appreciated that they took as to the airport.

Super friendly stuff, getting out of their way to help. Very good location and beautiful place.

Great location close to Cavtat harbourside restaurants & a 15 minute drive to Dubrovnik. Good spacious room, reliable WiFi, good breakfast selection & outdoor/poolside seating option. Very helpful staff who answered all our queries.

Parking a bit restricted & not so easy to find first time round - but these are really minor issues.

It was a very friendly place, the staff are excellent and very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and everything was there that we needed, also plenty of selection for breakfast. Very near to the sea front and bars and restaurants, we liked the fact that it was small and personal and the couple that manage the hotel do an excellent job, we would definitely recommend it and return ourselves one day.

Only stayed for one night on the way to the airport having been travelling. Wonderful staff - helpful and welcoming. A nice hotel, clean and quite comfortable. Fantastic views from some rooms.

To me, the room we booked was over-priced. Breakfast was ok, though the coffee was awful.

Return visit as it is within close proximity to the airport.

Having to stay on the last night of our holiday

Hotel Castelletto was rated as 3 star however I would rate at Guest House level and at this level was good. The staff were friendly and helpful

The description of Castelleto mentioned cocktails on the terrace and tapas. Tapas were not available and the bar was not staffed a number of times and worked on the honesty principle.

There is a very convenient (& cheap) bus route about 100 metres away which delivers people to old Dubrovnick which is the main reason for choosing Cavtat. (Why is this not an option above?). The staff were very helpful in finding answers to questions & reacting to a few deficiences. Breakfasts were acceptable because of the availability of fresh fruit. The hotel is difficult to find & a map on the website would be helpful.

It was the first time that we were charged the full cost of our three day stay some three months ahead. There is no need for this (a deposit could be taken &/or payment taken on arrival ) & we take a very dim view of it.

Was given a top floor room with sea-facing balcony as requested. General staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pictures of Hotel were out of date - communial areas were run down. Nobody was in attendance for long periods during the day and evening which meant bar and reception were closed. Our room was double-booked for our last day and night and we were asked to move to a back ground floor room and refused a discount from the management. Very steep walk in to town (although we already new this)

Excellent room and hotel facilities for several day stay at end of our holiday, efficient airport transfer.

Brilliant, small, family-run Hotel just above the centre of Cavtat. I have stayed there several times and it always impresses me. Friendly, happy, obliging staff, clean, practical rooms) many with balconies), good Croatian breakfast and refreshing little swimming pool. The free transfers to and from DBV airport are a real Bonus. Looking forward to my next stay - highly recommended !

Liked everything !

First of all the welcome we received from Hotel staff member, Dean. He made us feel relaxed and gave us excellent information about the local area, where we might eat and go in the evening.(we were on a last night return to UK after our three week holiday in Croatia and had booked Castelletto on line in Brac so we didn't know the area, we just needed to be near to Airport for the morning.). He was of immense help to us in the morning, getting us out to the airport on time after a lovely breakfast. Couldn't recommend him or the hotel highly enough. He was a good ambassador for his hotel and country. Many thanks Aidan

The staff were very friendly and helpful with excellent knowledge of the local area, activities and always accommodating with any queries.

It's a bit hilly to get there from the town centre. Short work but exceptional climb which in the heat may not be suited to some people. There are however local bus services that stop close by.

Charming...Simple and comfortable,but nicely styled relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredible, polite, friendly,and knowledgeable of the area,with impeccable English.They could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay without being overbearing or in your face.The rooms were spotless and good size, the beds comfy, and showers good.Nice little balcony too. A convenient short walk into the harbor though up hill on return. I rarely write a review but this place truly deserves my time.

Nothing other than having to leave!

The girls were extremely helpful with all our requests and gave us plenty of information as well on Cavtat/Dubrovnik Very quiet and peaceful location, but a steep walk up the steps from the town. Balcony was quite large

Pool wasn't available to use during our stay.

Very friendly and welcoming staff as we were late to sign in on the day. Unfortunately the AC didn't work on arrival due to a power cut in the town but this was remedied by the time we had got back from dinner. Nice, clean room with good shower and balcony. A bit of a trek down hill into Cavtat which meant a long uphill climb on return, designed to make you sweaty! On the day of departure, the owner promised to give us a lift to the airport and this was honoured at no cost - Lonely Planet had claimed that it was a ridiculous price for the same service! Great little hotel and a superb self-service breakfast, well done Castelletto!

The wifi signal was variable at times so it was hard to check much of importance. The AC wasn't very effective in our room but the manager had said that they were expecting the engineers for the units even before we'd raised the matter with him. Another suggestion for the hotel would be to inform future guests where the bus stop is so you can get off closer to the hotel rather than having to stagger up the steep hill with your bags (fortunately, we'd taken rucksacks but we were still shattered after the climb)!

Friendly, approachable staff on arrival who gave us complimentary homemade lemonade while our room was available. Gave us the run down of the local area and where to go - also provided a map. Large room, with balcony and sea view. Double bed - which was extremely comfortable. Reasonable breakfast.

Air conditioning was poor.

We stayed in this hotel because we had an early flight from Dubrovnik aiport the next morning. It is very close to the airport (it took us less than 10 mins to get there). All staff are very friendly and attentive to all needs. The pool is small, but nice for a dip and the area around the pool is very nice - plenty of places to sit (some sun loungers, many tables and chairs). There is a bar by the pool. Breakfast is served by the pool. The walk into Cavtat is very short (less than 10 mins) but the walk back is very steep. (You could take a bus if you wanted to)

The airconditioning wasnt working very well in our room.

Good views at the hotel on the balcony, very close to the aiport so a taxi from dubrovnik airport is very cheap, the breakfast was good , the other facilities are above average for a small hotel, the staff spoke good english , and the wi fi worked properly, the. Hotel is near to the town and beach etc, there is a small hill to walk up!

Lovely family run hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We asked for a room with a view and were not disappointed. Room was large and spacious and bathroon had lovely powerful shower. Bed was also very comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes also. Hotel pool is small but is exactly how it looks on the pictures on their website. This may not suit some people but for us was perfect as we wanted somewhere to relax and cooldown after sunbathing and was perfectly adequate for this.

The hotel is situated about 5-8 mins walk down to cavtat so location is very good. It is situated up a very steep hill which would not be suitable for older people or those with small children although this may depend on your fitness! We got used to it after the first couple of days.

Very helpful and welcoming staff who were keen to help us find the most suitable restaurants and beaches during our very short stay. We would make a point of coming back to this hotel especially since it is so close to Dubrovnik.

The staff were wonderful. Pleasant, friendly, and so helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Wish the swimming pool had water in it - at least enough to float in, not just stick my feet in. Also, another counter or vanity in the bathroom would be very helpful.
