Very good,
Score from 335 reviews
Looking back upon a long tradition since 1929, the partly renovated Dubrovnik hotel is located in the very center of Zagreb, surrounded by the Baroque atmosphere of the Upper Town. In the immediate vicinity you can find the cathedral, the picturesque Dolac open-air market with many amazing hand-made souvenirs and the main shopping area on Ilica street. Zrinjevac park and Cvjetni trg, where locals are traditionally gathering, are also very close. Excellently furnished rooms, which combine classic design with modern amenities provide for utmost comfort. There is also a 24-hour business center usable free of charge, a free mini fitness center, an inviting summer terrace and many more convenient services. The Hotel Dubtrovnik is a wonderful escape. The rooms and facilities are beautifully apportioned, well maintained and very clean. The large bathroom and deep soaking tub were especially appreciated. The staff went far beyond our expectations to accomodate our needs and requests. The delightful breakfast was an experience remembered with warm satisfaction. The location on the central square is perfect as we looked down on the trams stopping for passengers and the tented public market across the street. An abundance of shops and restaurants in the vincinity provided an unsurpassed variety of European city charms. We could not wish for more as our satisfaction was complete. Thank you! There could be nothing more the Hotel Duborvnik could do to enhance our stay in Zagreb.

Great value, great staff. I used to stay at the Esplanade or Westin while on business in Zagreb. I should have saved my money and stayed at the Dubrovnik instead. I will from now on! Parking situation should be a bit more convenient.

The hotel was situated right in the main square of the city. From the airport, the easiest way to arrive in the hotel was to take the airport bus (run by Croatia Airlines and cost 30 kunas) to the main bus station. Get out of the bus station, cross the road to take tram No 6 to the main square of the city. (6 stops and a single trip ticket cost 12 kunas from the tobacco store now instead of 8 mentioned previously.) The breakfast was included in the room rate and the spread was good with different varieties for the hot cooked items for the 3 days that I stayed. The location of the hotel was very good as it was in the middle of the old town and it was possible to cover the upper and low parts of the town by walking within a day. The main train station was about 10 minutes walk away or one could take the same tram (No 6) for just 2 stops where one could do a day trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia. Overall, it was a pleasant experience to stay in this hotel. I will recommend this hotel to those first-time visitors to Zagreb for its location and convenience. The room size was adequate but the shower area was rather small (it looks like a 3-star hotel rather than 4 in this aspect.) The only English channel available was bbc news.

The hotel was well situated right on a shopping/cafe mall. It was a little hard to find as we arrived in Zagreb by car. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was very good. It was the only hot breakfast buffet we encountered during our drive around Croatia and Slovenia. The room was very well presented and comfortable and we were in a relatively new extension to the hotel. It was within walking distance of most points of interest and a short stroll to the main tram stop.

The breakfast was excellent, great selection, very fresh and tasteful. Also we really appriciated customer services. Prior check in, mail responses were quick and informing. The location of the hotel is more than excellent. Everything is max 2 km's from the hotel. Shops, Bars, Cafes and Monuments are just a few metres away. As for public transportation, major stop is just in front of the hotel and there is a taxi stop within 10 metres. There were no slippers in the room, which you do not expect from a four star hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful however, not very informative by means of helping leisure travellers.

The aircon/heating is one system for the entire hotel and it is one or the other. During the official winter period, the heating is switched on and a temperature is maintained of 26 (!!!) degrees C. Our room was on the sun-side and the temperature in the room was 28 degrees. The only option to cool down the hotelroom is to open the window. Since the hotel is in the city center, this brings in a lot of noise from the street. The result is that we have not slept the first night. We were upgraded to a room with a view on a blind wall without noise. With the windows open at night, we were able to counteract the heating and lower the temperature to 23 degrees. Still, all four nights were horribly hot although the outside temperature was 10 deg. In other words hardly any sleep.

I liked the proximity to the trams, shopping, tourism sites, transportation from the airport and pedestrian shopping area. Could have been a little brighter. Low illumination.

I booked for two rooms in the hotel at 99euros per night, but the hotel reception desk still asked for 109 euros per night when I checked out. (Before my made the reservation, the same error happened in the system of your website, www.booking.com. The error was corrected after I call your service line.) Fortunately, the mistake was solved, however, It still took some time to clear the misunderstanding. I might miss my first meeting with my client if it took a longer time to solve the problem. Thank you for your attention.

I liked the location and the hotel was fine . I was very disappointed that on check out they wanted to charge us more than the agreed price - even though the booking was made in june 2011 and paid for at that time by credit card: we visited in october 2011 and they said that the variation in rates over the time since the booking was made was the reason for this increase: after discussions with the manager - he agreed that we would not be charged: however we were very disappointed with this attitude:

Hotel was very nice. Room was beautiful, very large for a European hotel. I only stayed one night, but location right in the city was great. Many bars and restaurants in close walking distance. Parking was very tough to find, as you have to find parking on the street nearby.

Excellent location and very good breakfast and installations. The only thing I missed was umbrellas in the reception desk due to the light rain we faced since they used to have in order to borrow to their clients.
