The place is set up to provide good service and a place to enjoy hospitable fun. For the most part the staff is welcoming and recognizes that you are at the hotel to have a pleasant stay. We received good attention from the dining room staff and were made to feel welcome. The chamber maid staff were outstanding in accommodating our needs with regard to room comfort. The only unpleasantry came from the reception desk. They are rude and self satisfied stiffs who somehow have a self importance that is conjured out of an irrational smugness and a false ego-centricity. What a turn off to the hotel and a likely cause for poor return business. The reception desk was our only dissatisfaction. We can recommend this hotel when they improve the courtesy of the reception desk.

Lovely location. Great views. Didn't like the attitude of the staff. They were less than helpful. It was as if the hotel was 'too good' and that we should be grateful for staying there.

Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Food in the restaurants, although overpriced, was excellent. The bus service to the Old Town was very convenient and economical. Spacious facilities with panoramic views. I am sure the hotel is a wonderful place to stay in good weather - which we unfortunately didn't have. We probably made the wrong choice of hotel for the time of year. We did not realise that many of the facilities advertised on the booking site would not be open or available. Our 'superior' room felt like a chilly, gloomy tunnel with a boxed-in view of the sea at the end. We had to ask for the heating to be turned up because we could not get our room warm enough. The decor in the room and corridors was dull. There were no tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. The contents of the mini-bar and food on offer in the restaurants were very over-priced, in our opinion. However, to some extent our experience would have been quite different had the weather been better.

It perfectly located if you want to enjoy in romantic weekend or easy holiday. Beautiful view and peace surrounding hotel. But also not far away from the Old town, if you want to visit or enjoy in fantastic restaurants in the city. Pretty good spa center gives you the opportunity to enjoy even if its a a bad weather. Perfect place for real holidays! We were there in April and it was bad weather and pretty cold. The air-condition in the room was set up to cool the place and there was no possibility to make it warmer. Even after several complain to the hotel stuff nothing could be done.

All rooms have fantastic view of sea. Hotel staff very friendly and overly accommodating. Breakfast buffet excellent. Double rooms are two single beds pushed together. Just clarify when booking. Also, evening buffet not great. Hotel May be better serving a la carte during the quiet season.

The setting is amazing, looking out on to the Dalmatian islands. The balcony had a great sea view. The breakfast is large and wonderful and can be taken outside. The swimming pool is great. Easy bus ride from the hotel into Dubrovnik. Very expensive hotel restaurants. Mentioned our wedding anniversary on booking, no notice taken. Even booked a "double" room and was given a "twin" room. We expected five star (which it claims). The price, even for a four day special offer, was €750 yet the rooms were smaller even than the usual Holiday Inn or equivalent. The air-conditioning, which we needed, would not fall below 25 degrees c, until we complained twice and they got it down for our third day to 23 degrees. The shower gets suddenly hot then cold then back to normal. I think this hotel lives on its views and the sea side.

We had an amazing time at the Dubrovnik Palace. The staff were super efficient and exceptionally friendly. The even prepared a birthday cake for my birthday dinner and then wrote the recipe in English for us to take away. Having both the pools and the Adriatic to choose from was also fantastic. Being on Lapad Bay was also brilliant as you are away from the tourist crowds of the old town of Dubrovnik but only a short bus ride (running every 15minutes from the Palace) to the town. Lapad Bay also has many lovely restaurants and walking tracks. We loved everything about Dubrovnik Palace. Thank you. Linda and David Crosato

The location and the service of the hotel very excellent. The staff is very cooperative. Warning! Not to book on the 6 th floor beneath the 7 th floor restaurant. You can hear every step or fluxes of the chairs, tables etc. mainly in breakfast time in the morning, or a conference held late evening. So you are not able to sleep during this noisy period.

Great location, nice pool and terraces, good spa facilities, big bedroon with sea view, free parking and wifi, good breakfast The prices of the restaurants near the pool were very expensive compare with croatian preces. The staff were not at the level of a 5 star hotel

From the moment we entered the hotel we felt so relaxed, due entirely to the attention each and every member of the staff paid to our every request .Their welcome was second to none !! Any query we had was never a problem to them .We were greeted each time we entered the hotel with a smile from the staff on reception. We loved it there !! The only thing that caused me a problem (as a very poor swimmer ) was the lack of a bar around the edge of the pool so as I could feel safe while in the pool

We stayed at Hotel Dubrovnik Palace for 4 days and it was just a lovely experience. The seaside and the pool are great, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean and you get a wonderful view of the sea. I would highly recommend and consider staying at this hotel next time I go to Dubrovnik.

Location was great. Hotel was nice and clean with a lovely pool and easy access to the sea. Our sea view was amazing and perfect to see the sun set. Little town easy reach and bus service brilliant to the old town (hotel shuttle or a local bus service). Confusion over payment on the day previous to our stay. Many restaurants but would be great if they had a snack bar that did mini meals at a cheaper price. Also we had mentioned it was our honeymoon but were dissapointed we didn't get a bottle of champagne or something to make it a little more special.

This hotel has amazing views of the Adriatic Sea. There were three outdoor swimming pools, several restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, nice gym with views of the Sea, and spa facilities. The bus to the old town stops right outside of the hotel, which made it very convenient to sightsee. There were usually two people on staff to help you plan excursions, an office on the first floor to sign up for scuba diving, a shop for all of your beach supplies. The room was very clean and well equipped. There was turn down service and housekeeping also refreshed the towels in the bathroom each night. The breakfast buffet offered a large variety of hot and cold items, and you could have an omlet or fried eggs made to order. We were very pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay again. I did not like the fact that people "reserved" pool chairs by placing towels and personal items on them early in the morning. There is no real beach at this hotel, however, from what I could tell, there was no real beach in most places along this coast. The last day of our visit, the breakfast buffet looked like leftovers from the day before.

I loved the location of the hotel and particularly the outdoor areas. The staff at the breakfast restaurant was also very friendly and attentive. And the breakfast was excellent. My complaint goes to the distribution of rooms. I specifically asked for a room at the higher floors and was given one at almost the bottom ( first floor) while my friend who did not have any request was given one at the 4th floor. To me this proves that no attention is given to the special requests people have which for a a five star hotel is not good enough. I travel a lot through my work and at other five star hotels my experience is that they do. (Sofitel in Vienna being fantastic).Furthermore no flexibility was given to the request of a late check-out even though the request was only to extend by 30 minutes. I have returned to Dubrovnik since 1997 and have mainly stayed at Hotel Argentina or Villa Dubrovnik, something I believe I will continue to do in the future.

The spa is amazing, really relaxing. The hotel is very clean and comfortable Hotel Rooms are small for 5* but very clean & comfortable, the hotel is located 15 mins by shuttle bus outside dubrovnik town. The hotel shuttle bus only comes every hour and finishes at 9pm however for the public bus serves the hotel every 15mins (10kn each way). Food in the hotel is fair. Much better meals in the town itself.

Superb view over the sea from the balcony. Nice and clean room. Excelent amplasament and beautiful pool area. Very good SATU sushi bar. Buffet dinner at Elafiti restaurant could be improved. Low quality food at Maslina Taverna and at the snack bar on the beach. Wireless didn't work properly all the time.
