Falkensteiner Family Hotel Diadora  

This hotel is perfect for families with young children. The Falky Land staff provides superb care for your children which allows parents to enjoy the hotel organized activities or the local area. The food was the best out of five other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at. The guests are predominantly parents with children, and as such the hotel becomes quite quiet after about 2200 (10:00 PM). From the main pool area to the beach is a easy one minute walk down a groomed path. The hotel is located on a peninsula close to Petracane and Nin, and about a 15 minute drive to downtown Zadar. On the hotel property one can walk or jog a mile long path that follows the coastline and is lit during the night. The staff took care of our needs whenever we asked something of them. We would stay at this hotel again.

It should be noted that our below listed complaints were resolved after bringing the issues up with the Hotel Staff. We do feel it is important to note the following for future guests. Our family paid extra for a Family Room with Sea View. Our first room assignment was on the side of the hotel not facing the pool, and as we looked out our windows we could only see a street with modern style homes. There was no sea view unless we stood on the balcony, then we could have a glimpse of the sea over the roof of a modern home. When we first complained to reception they stated that this is a room with a sea view. I pointed out that it is quite deceiving to sell it as such since I could only see part of the blue sea over a roof. They agreed to move us to a pool side room which I was allowed to view first. The room was perfect and had the advertised sea view, but was not yet ready for customers as we had seen in our first room (food crumbs on floor, no welcome towel bags, no complimentary water, and no toiletry kit). We were asked to come back in an hour and the room would be ready. When we came back the sheets had been tucked into the beds, but the floor was still dirty and the complimentary welcome items stated above were not in place. We called reception and asked to have a housekeeper sent to the room. After pointing out the deficiencies to housekeeping and again clearing the room for a couple hours our room was brought up to standard. After these initial issues were resolved on day one we had a perfect trip at this Family Resort. I would not let the above complaint dissuade you, but be aware as a buyer that rooms facing the pool are truly the ones that have a view of the sea.

Diadora was really made for families with kids. Everything was thought with kids in mind. We had a good time there using different pools and playgrounds.

I missed coffee on lunch and dinner. Coffee was only available at breakfast.

Easy. An oasis to allow you to relax after a day on the road.

Everything about this family friendly hotel is amazing, but particularly the staff. This was our second stay at the hotel. The sign in reception says 'welcome home, welcome kids' and that's exactly what it feels like. The hotel provided lots of additional entertainment for Easter weekend which was fantastic, from an Easter egg hunt for the kids, to a champagne brunch on the terrace for the adults. We hope to visit again later this year and next Easter.

There is not one thing about this hotel that I can fault.

Really liked the pools and the swimming teaching to our 4 year old girl (Aqua Educa). The teachers were really nice. The food was also delicious and our room was so comfortable with the seperate roomette. The kid's programmes are enjoyable for families with little children.

Great food (gained a couple of pounds while we were there :-)), comfortable beds in a big family-size room. The staff are amazing. Always with a smile on their face and willing to help. We particularly enjoyed the "fiesta evening" on the beach - instead of having dinner in the hotel restaurant, the hotel arranged for all guests to have it on their private beach, with tables and benches and free drinks, and a live band playing Dalmatian songs. Excellent organization. There was animation for children all day and live music in the evening, though the hotel was still quiet enough so that small children could rest during the day. The Spa is great. They give good massages at affordable prices and they have a sauna with a relaxation room and caldarium. We are definitely coming back next year.

No complaints really. Just a note - this hotel is not in the centre of Zadar, it is a bit remote from shops and bars. But perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Firstly, the room a/c must be improved especially given the limited natural air circulation from the balaconies. Secondly, the staff, other than front desk, must master 50-100 english vocabulary even if the guests are predominantly German. Thirdly, a greater number of suitcase carriages are necessary. Fourthly, the on site facilities for children must not all be charged for. Some basic games like pool etc. should be included in the room charge. Fifthly, the food was indeed exceptional!!!!!!

Sorry I answered this question above. The above is not really complaints but rather suggestions for improvement.

Excellent facilities clean and like new! The staff in the entire hotel were great going above and beyond to help !

Prijazni,sobe so prekrasne,okolica hotela je lepo urejena,vse je skratka lepo.

Bivanje v Diadora hotelu je udobno,klub prvemu vtisu, da so sobe majhne, saj je prostor zelo racionalno izkoriščen. Dober je izbor in tudi priprava hrane. Pohvalno je tudi dejstvo, da je ves čas bivanja prost vstop v savne, kar se v številnih hotelih doplačuje in da je v sobi kopalni plašč in natikači.Osebje je prijazno in pripravljeno pomagat.

V jesenskem času bivanja je bil sobni hladilnik prazen.
