The island itself is amazing, so pure, green, natural, well tended, even rabbits running freely on the island. :) There are fig fruit trees and olive trees everywhere and the gardener is doing an excellent job! Everything is spotlessly clean. There a three or four different types of beaches on different sides of the island - stone, pebble, sandy, concrete, for different tastes. Beaches are not overly crowded, a perfect combination of tourists yet breathing space and comfortable privacy. Sea water is impeccably clean and see-through, there are small fish and you can see to the very bottom of the sea floor. Food is excellent, especially buffet dinners. Great variety and so many healthy choices. Most rooms have amazing view on the old traditional mainland Porec city, which is delightful and an absolute joy to watch from the room terrace in the mornings and evenings. All staff at the hotel are splendid, always kind and always helpful. They have nice live music events on the outside hotel terrace in the evenings. Every 20 minutes there is a free nice shuttle boat for hotel guests taking you to the mainland town of Porec or back to hotel in less than 5 minutes. It is great to go for a walk and a drink to the town, either during the day or in the evenings, it is very cheerful and lively and a lot going on at all times. It is just such a gem, this island of St. Nikola, we have been back for the second time now and will surely return again.

The announcement that they will be starting to take on more guests! I sincerely hope this lovely little island will not get overcrowded in the coming years...

Excellent value for money, beautiful location on a small and exclusive island with beaches, woods and swimming pools. Two minutes by boat to the lovely town of Porec. Great breakfast buffet. Nice bars and restaurants if you want to eat something on the island during the day. Dinner is ok.

Dinner is ok, but you would expect a bit more. Lots of foods and dishes, but if you stay more days, you realize it is every day the same. And especially: not many fish dishes. Being at sea you would expect a lot more fish.

rabbits, peacocks and lizards on island.

End of season: hotel was packing everything away while we were still there. The only English speaking TV channel was BBC/sky news
