Freedom to make our own breakfast in a communal kitchen, with tea and coffee provided, and choice of adjacent inside and outdoor areas for eating it. Communal fridge outside bedroom room. Nice balcony.

Just a minor consideration; if you want to be very close to a beach, then this place may not be ideal for you. However, Bol is a small place, so nowhere is beyond walking distance. Guesthouse Vinko is in a residential area and is an uphill walk (5 min) from the harbour and about 30 min walk from Zlatni Rat beach, but only about 10 min walk from other suitable swimming locations.

It was very good value for money. We had the cheaper room, it was sufficient for a young couple. We used the common kitchen for breakfast, but never met other guests there.. probably because we are early risers. The appartment was very close to city center, and about 20 minutes walk to Zlatni Rat beach (which is very good compared to many other appartments). The hosts were very nice.

We'd appreciate an insect net on the window. Otherwise nothing.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The house has a well equipped kitchen at guests' disposal, as well as a large terrace and dining area. The room was comfortable and clean. All in all, great value for money.

We liked the staff very much. The guesthouse is very clean, we had a nice balcony view.

The bed was a little bit to hard.

This accommodation is a family run business and is excellent value for money. Breakfast was included in the price and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.

    Everything was great!

Here is the email I sent to before raising my concerns with the owner and checking out after 3 of 7 nights. I declined to pay the remainder. Guesthouse Vinko accepted this. "I have some issues I wish to raise concerning my booking with Guesthouse Vinko. The information on states: 1. there is a shared kitchen and BBQ facilities, there is a such a kitchen but on arrival I asked if we had access to this kitchen and was told by the proprietor " no". No guests are using it,  other than the family and their friends are (I felt as if I was intruding). 2. The main beach of Zlatni Rat is 500 metres away. It is not,  it is a 25 minute walk at the minimum and by Google maps it is 1.9 kms. 3. The 2 supermarkets (grocery shops?) are not within 200 metres, it is a minimum of 600 metres. (there are 3 but the 3rd is further than 200 metres). 4. The WiFi connection (to my room at least) is very  poor and more often than not there is no signal. There is hyperbole and there is incorrect information. This is clearly a case of the latter. Numbers 3 &4 are minor issues but no kitchen facilities and the main beach  4 times the distance away?! (it's either a 25 minute walk in 30 degree heat or pay 15 Kuna/2 Euro each way for a ride on a toy train or ferry). That's not ok. I  booked this Guesthouse for 7 nights in Bol because  it offered kitchen facilities (restaurants in Bol are expensive and average) within a 10 minute (500 metre) walk to the beach, was within a few minutes of a grocery store and had a usable wifi in the room. None of which has turned out to be true. I wish to pay for the three nights I have spent here and cancel my remaining booking and move to other accommodation." I quickly found superior accommodation through Adria Tours Bol, for the same price in the same location. Zlatni Rat is not worth the effort, windy, crowded and lackingin character.
