Hotel Excelsior    

Great hotel. Fantastic location - just a few minutes walk from the old city. Lovely view from the rooms and also the restaurants. Very extensive buffet with hot and cold items. Fabulous spa, swimming pool, hot tubs. Comfortable room with strong, free wifi. Friendly, welcoming staff. Wonderful experience overall. We would certainly come back.

A little expensive. Minor quibble - breakfast could have stayed open a little later on weekends.

Location and view on old city and the sea: gorgeous! With extra large windows.

Baby cot was very poor/old. Coffee and tea maker have to be requested. Parking wasn't underground and covered. Breakfast was poor, with bad coffee and cold eggs...

staff were really helpful, smiling and doing a great job. The room with sea view was incredible, I would recommend to take a room with a balcony.

the hotel had some renovations in the beach side, quite noisy.

Location! It is perfect! You are on the water but can walk to the Old Town in a matter of minutes. The side-view sea room is amazing...the terrace for drinks and the breakfast area are the most incredible views of Dubrovnik. There is NOTHING to not like here.

Although out of their control, I hated that cruise ships are allowed to sit out in the water right off the coast of these beautiful hotels and play awful out-of-date music until later hours. It only happened one night....in addition, they destroy the view that one has paid for....thank goodness...they were not there every night!

Excelsiors are good hotel chain.

The hotel's name should be put somewhere above waist level,because once we passed the building and had to return again.we could then see the name on the parking plaque and when entering on the mat.

Excellent hotel, close to the old town, with feet in the sea and proposing rooms with an amazing view on Dubrovnik. Very professional and helpful staff. A too short stay for us.

Everything is very good

Very comfortable, great location near to the Old Town (Dubrovnik), but far enough away to get some distance from the crowds. Great to be able to take a dip in the Adriatic, and the views from our room were lovely.

The gym was a bit rudimentary, and the machines hadn`t been serviced for a while. We had intended to eat one evening meal at the hotel, but the restaurant was cold and deserted, and we chose to go elsewhere. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the expensive room we had booked

location, location, location!

Well situated for easy access to the Old Town, Boats and places of interest. Well appointed rooms with excellent views, swimming areas were very good with easy access to the sea via safe steps(the best I have used in Dubrovnik) Spa area was clean and tidy all facilities like sauna open at times stated. Breakfast was plentiful and service very good. Room service quick and well presented.

Entrance to the Hotel not very welcoming plain with a view chairs. But take the lift down to the rooms, restaurants, bars, shops and all facitilites it becomes another world, so don't be put off.

Excellent location, views and food. Sitting outside eating breakfast looking over to Dubrovnik, the picture in every Brochure, is a great experience. An easy walk into the Walled City which is trully wonderful and where there are 100's of lovely Restaurants. Day trips into Bosnia & Herzegovina and into Montenegro.

It was perfect!

Top hotel, great location by the see and a 5-minute walk to the old town of Dubrovnik. Free wifi (not available on the beach though), free parking. Excellent breakfast buffet with Sparking wine. Sound of waves was relaxing. But you cannot turn it off, even if you wanted.

The room was quite small for that high price.

The sea view room that you feel you are on a cruise ship and the view of the island opposite and the castle.also the proximity to the city as well as the beach area.the breakfast area was also very memorable!

Reception area could be better and there could be another restaurant.

Quality hotel in close proximity to the walled town of Dubrovnik. Hotel services and rooms were excellent.

Amazing superior room suite and amazing views of the city. Only a ten minute walk to the city walls and perfect beach and pool facilities.

The price is a little steep but it makes up for it in sheer theatre and quality.

Not much-the view and the location were the best things about the hotel.

The service was awful,the food mediocre,and the rooms were dark and dingy. No way does this hotel deserves 5 stars. The restaurants were like mess halls-no atmosphere with very limited menus.
