Excellent choice! So close to the old harbour of Dubrovnik, just above the shining Adriatic sea... |

Very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. L'Occitane shower gels and shampoos are great choice. You need to climb up the slope to get to the hotel. |

The hotel is in a great location easily access to Dubrovnik. The views from the balcony are stunning. Good facilities and food make it a great place to stay although it is somewhat expensive. Ideal for a special occasion |

The location and the view of Dubrivnik Old Town from the hotel terrace was excellent. Which cannot be said about the room I stayed in (look below). For eur 175 per night all I got was a room with its window facing a cliff so instead of a sea view that a hotel which such a great location and such high reputation and prices should have there was almost no light coming in from outside. The morning buffee, too, was substandard even for a three-star hotel. |

Outside the city walls yet an easy 7-10 minute walk to everything within the old city. I'm delighted that we chose this location; it was quiet and relaxing. Front desk staff could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly. No one pointed out the hotel's facilities; we were left to find these on our own. They did explain the elevator nuances, which were a bit confusing at first, but that was about it. |

Myself and my newly wedded wife stayed here on our honeymoon for 3 days. Big mistake. We told them we were on our honeymoon - reminded them the day before and they did not even congratulate us when we arrived. Also the day before when I rang to confirm booking the girl (Antonia) could not find my booking and had to ring me back 15 mins later for my booking.com reference no. even though I offered her this the first time and she said she did not need it. I also found the staff unpleasant (not one smile) and not very helpful. My wife cut her toe and she had to wait 15-20 mins before we got a plaster delivered to our room. I am a smoker and at the beach restaurant I had to ask 3 times before I got an ashtray. All in all, not 5 star at all!! please see above |

The facilities were up to their 5 star rating and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room was great and the views up the coast and across to the old Town stunning. Our only criticism was the hot food at the buffet style breakfast. The eggs in particular were often barely warm and had been sat in the heated tray some time so were not very appetising. Could they not cook to order like the previous hotel we were at in Vienna? |

The indoor pool, spa, fitness areas and beach deck are fabulous - the setting is unmatched. Breakfast buffet (included) is lavish. Staff was courteous and helpful. The location is perfect - oceanfront with gorgeous views, a short walk to the Old City and quiet. The bar terrace at sundown is magical. I'm certain we received the very worst room in the hotel. It was in the annex and bisected by a huge column - and opposite service facilities and elevators. We arrived late at night and did not observe its problems until morning - too time consuming and complicated by that time to change. |

Good Location and excellent facilites like pool and acess to the sea. The view from the hotel resteraunt and bar is excellent. The room was very small. The bathroom did not have a proper shower (which was broken) and water splashed all over the floor. Heard similar complaints from other guests about size of the room. Not worth the money. |

This is a top 5-Stars hotel. The hotel is excellent and the service impeccable. Besides having the best view of Dubrovnik, the hotel has an amazing seaside sun-deck, excellent restaurants for unforgettable dining and sunset drinks, a great spa, and it's only a 10 min walk to the Old Town of Dubrovnik. We were 4 adults, from England/Japan, France, Sweden and Brazil, and we were all delighted with our stay at Excelsior. |

The location of the hotel is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff at the reception was not helpful (in relation to tourist information). The lift was very slow and it took us ages to go to our room every time. Staff at the beach under the hotel was not enough and always busy and it took us ages to order a coffee by the beach of hotel or find a towel and umbrella. |

Location, very near the old town, and the breakfast was really good. Requested a sea view, did not get one, also the hotel took our passports on arrival for 20 mins to register them but did not allow us to wait for them there and then so they were out of our sight for that time. |

I was coming from Belgrade, with a rented car registered in Belgrade. On entry to the city, some passers-by have made clear signs we were not wellcome, obviously due to registration of the car. In the Hotel, however, they have immediately put our car in the closed garage and were behaving marvelously all the time, making us forget the initial unpleasantness completely. |

Location is fantastic - just 5 minutes walk to the Old City and excellent views from most areas of the hotel. Service and facilities were first class. Poor selection of English language TV, but we were not in Dubrobnik to watch TV. |
