In the Lapad Peninsula, Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is completely renovated as of 2014. This hotel has a beach and a scuba diving center.
Score from 529 reviews Excellent
Hotel Lero is only a scenic 20-minute walk from the Old Town of Dubrovnik and has nicely furnished rooms and tasty food, both of which are affordable.
Score from 468 reviews Very good
Hotel Dubrovnik in the lush green Lapad Bay can be found on a charming, pedestrianized street with many restaurants and cafes, only 325 ft from the popular Lapad Beach.
Score from 229 reviews Good
In the small tourist village Mlini, in a quiet part of the Dubrovnik Riviera, the family-run bed and breakfast Villa Carmen awaits you.
Score from 72 reviews Very good
Comfy bed, friendly staff.
Very expensive for what you get, small room, no wifi in room, old fashioned furniture (all decor is like a 80'. And it feels like it wasn't refreshed since than..), indoor swimming pool closed, VERY poor quality breakfast, far away from city center (approx 15 min by bus), dirty carpet in room, which smells like a pee, smelly, moulded bathroom which still remember old times. On the top of that the lift which we used to get to our 7th floor just stopped once in the middle of 2 floors. After that we decided to take stairs every time.. To sum up: we were very upset of our stay. We decided to take this hotel, because on photos it looked very comfortable and cosy but after our arrival the only thing we got was disappointment. Highly don't recommend!
Room was untidy, curtains dirty, you didn't want to touch anything. We found previous guests mascara pen on the floor. Shower was leaking and bathroom equipment was old. Breakfast was very modest and reception personnel was unprofessional.
Great location, High standards of cleanliness
Hotel pool very cold, waiting staff not very attentive, breakfast not as good as last time we stayed.
- Dubrovnik (Old City). - Lokrum Island. - The hotel had a nice view.
- First meeting with staff at the hotel was a sour man who stared at us badly while while carrying one of our bags. - They keep your passport in an open case visible to everyone, right behind the counter if you want them to look after the passport. - No safe, no safe in the room! - Very thin walls, can hear others in the bathroom next door. - Very poor breakfast, tasteless. - Orange juice was just water with diluted juice. - Take the bus to the Old City sounds simple, but it is cramped and sweaty and tiring if you want to experience the Old City & Lokrum Island every day, as you will probably want because it's the best parts of Dubrovnik.
friendly and helpful staff at meals near town beach and within easy reach of bus to old town
room was slightly on the small side
Friendly and helpful staff Comfortable bed Great sea view Clean
Needs some modernising Shower head mouldy No tea/coffee making facilities
The view from our room but we paid a lot extra for that. The staff were efficient and friendly. The eating area outside the hotel. Food good and staff excellent. I am only recommending this hotel on these points and you should only travel and stay here if you do not mind the negatives because they are all true.
The superior room was extremely small and apparently the size of an ordinary room but seemed smaller as so much more furniture was crammed in. The hotel was built in the l970's and reflects this especially in the bathroom whilst clean which of course it should be is quite frankly disgusting. Carrying our cases upon arrival down loads of stairs. The hotel is very overpriced for what you get.
Nothing but if I had to pick then the beach side terrace
The hotel was really depressing, dark with no atmosphere. The pool area was so basic and looked pretty grim. The room (with no balcony) was small and dark. We booked a double bed but instead there were two singles together. The bathroom was falling apart especially the ceiling! The breakfast was disgusting! Would not recommend to anybody
Lovely quiet swimming pool area, breakfast was varied and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were clean and views from sea view balcony were fantastic.
Leaving, would have liked Tea and Coffee maker in room
Available hotel private parking. View of the beach from the reception terrace.
Breakfast was poor quality. Room was not very clean. Our window was at the same level of the swimming pool area, so we could never keep it open. Location is quite far from old town: you have to get a bus (bus stop at 0.5 km away from the hotel) which takes about 20-25 minutes. There's a stair before reaching the reception, which is uncomfortable if you have heavy luggage.
vecchio nell'arredamento e nei servizi
The location was nice. Many nice restaraunts and bars around.
The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude.
Staff is polite and nice, location is great! Everything is in a walking distance!
The bathroom looks pretty old... The entire hotel needs renovation :)
The hotel was well appointed for the beach so in that respect the location was good. The outdoor pool was great, the breakfast adequate and the staff were friendly and professional.
The hotel is very dated. Our first night was ruined because the air conditioning didn't work in our room and it was 35 degrees. They did move us the next day but it was a bad start and we weren't offered a discount. The rooms were cramped and this was compounded by the oversized furniture making it difficult to move around. As there was no balcony there was nowhere to dry beach towels. While it was only a 20 minute bus ride in to Dubrovnik during the tourist season the buses are packed and unpleasant making the hotel not a good base for exploring the old town.
Hairdryer cut out every minute No kettle in room Very basic room
Very friendly, professional staff. A great location near the beach. Nightly live music. Good breakfast.
Clean but very dated. It felt like we had walked back in time to a perfectly preserved, 1970s hotel. Room was called 'superior' but was very small. Maybe all of Dubrovnik is expensive but this hotel seemed overpriced for humble accommodation
The staff were so friendly and easy going...i loved it!!
Excellent location, nice staff, good and varied breakfast.
Helpful staff, good pool, good location. Price reasonable
Limited wifi areas but enough for our needs One 1 bathroom hook in bathroom so nowhere to hang towels after showering.
I liked the fact it was overlooking the beach and just 10 minutes bus ride to the old town.
We asked for a room with a seaview and balcony but didnt get it, also thought room and bathroom was very small.
The position of the hotel, exactly along the Lapad promenade and near the Lapad beach. The wonderful sea from the balcony. It is smart deal for the price.
The variety of the food served on the breakfast, exactly same things every day, eggs on the basket were definitely overcooked. More fruit would be good, general quality was allright.
We had a room facing the side of the building, which was a bit dark as there are lots of trees in front of the window, but it's functional and quiet! Breakfast was average but the food in the restaurant excellent, and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking also!
I liked the location and friendly staff
No wifi in rooms Jym closed Indoor pool closed
The location was superb, as was the price
The facilities were in need of modernisation. Plus there were no facilities for guests checking out. The indoor pool was closed, the outdoor pool was small but ok, but generally it just needed a lick of paint.
