The location was spot on, the lady greeting us was very friendly, the taxi service was also very good.
Apartment owners had a loud dog, especially at five AM in the morning .The accomodation was dated and small and very dark as it was on the ground floor boxed in with no natural light. We had no change of towels or bedding for an eight day stay.
No doors with the flat just stairs connected with common living room downstair.
It is extremely expensive for what it is. The apartment is old, smells humidity. Kitchen small, the dishes soap was diluted with water so it didn't clean much, almost no place for the table. Bed linen smelled very strong to humidity as well. After one person showered the next had cold water. The key to your apartment opens the main door as well as the others apartments, so basically anyone there can enter your apartment. Actually the woman entered our apartment while we where sleeping saying that a guy from a magazine was there to take pictures of the apartment to advertize it (we didn't let her in). The next day she entered while we were not there. She wanted us to pay her while she was not there, just leaving almost 200 euros in the common area where all the guests pass by (we did not). She tryed to charge us more for the citizen fee but we put our foot down. She speaks poor english but enough to understand our complains, nevertheless she pretended not to understand us. Besides, apartment is far from the center, you need 20-25 minutes to get there and a single bus ticket costs 2 euros! Just don't go there....
I arrived at the current place (above) and was very upset about the configuration of the 'apartment'. It is advertised as a 'superior two-bedroom apartment', which I would assume is secure and separate from other guests and accommodation living areas. However, the stairs leading up to our apartment, from the other guest living area of three separate bookings, lead straight into our living area, no door, no lock. Our living area had two bedrooms on separate sides and was completely open to other guests. So our 6yo daughter was expected to sleep in a locked room, which she wouldn’t be able to open by herself, our possessions have to be kept in the bedrooms, instead of the living area, we have no privacy except in the bathroom and bedroom areas, which all come off the living area. This is NOT a 'superior two-bedroom apartment', and was not what I expected or paid for.
Has no car parking and the small street in front has no space to park. No balcony to sit and place to dry a sea-towel or something
That it was close to the walkway to the pebbbled beach
No outside area , no balcony Too small for 4 people , had to be out all day The kitchen was ridicolously small That apartment should only be for 1 couple we stayed on the ground floor
manager is very kind!
Nice quiet place with own balcony. Good price-quality ratio.
Great location- only bus ride into town. Very close to restaurants and beautiful beaches. Room was nice too!
Unsure about check in and check out process- nobody seemed to be there
Located near the marina with excellent restaurant across the street.
I phoned the number provided on the email to ask whether I could pay by card coz I was lack of cash at that time. The answerer was impatient and said I can only pay by cash, which led me cost lots of time and cash to withdraw the money. I made a lot of effort to withdraw the cash and then I became out of budget. After I arrived the apartment, however, the reception lady said I could pay by card, which means all my effort was zero. I was a bit disappointed with the guy answered the phone dishonestly. Apart from that, everything is perfect.
Nice restaurant across the road, easy access via bus to the Old City.
Much cheaper than old city. Nice location. About half hour walk to old city. Plenty of buses. Plenty of restaurants. Very comfortable. Great common area/kitchen. Owner/staff are very friendly and helpful. Yacht club opposite.
Very comfortable. Like a family home. Large living area and fully appointed kitchen. Owners/managers were friendly and helpful. In a quiet area some distance from old city - half hour walk but buses near and frequent. Taxi under 10 Euro. Highly recommend. Many restaurants nearby with much cheaper rates than old city. Yacht club opposite.
It is a nice place to live among a lot of apartments and hotels in Dubrovnik. The staff is really friendly and willing to help. Extremely good value for money.
Location was ok, quite close to bus stop and market.
When we arrived to apartment, cleaning was not finished and apartment didnt look very clean. Strange smell and dirty floors. WIFI did not work whole time we were in here. When checkout should have been done, nobody was there to collect keys.
Lady was very pleasant and as helpful as she could be
We thought we had booked an apartment with a balcony, which is where we were for the first night but we were told to move to another appartment , as there had been a mistake and ended up in an almost subterranean apartment, which I think even backpackers would not have stayed in. The kitchen comprised of a sink and two electric rings in an alcove- the rest of the kitchen , a larder fridge, table and two dining chairs were in a bedroom. The shower doors kept coming off. There was no natural light and the traffic was passing about 12ft away from where you lay. The bedding was out of the 70's and mismatched. The fridge only had one shelf and in order to use the kettle you had to put in on the floor in the 2nd bedroom as this was the only place the lead would fit. Had we not already paid, we would have gone in search of better accomodation. Would not advise anyone to book this accomodation.
The lady who greeted us was an excellent host who could not do enough for us whilst we were there. Little difficult as her English was very limited but she tried very hard. Furnishings were a bit dated which was quite quaint, however, we would have preferred the bedding and mattresses to be of better quality. They were clean but very old. One of our rooms had an old curtain as a cover on the bed? I would suggest an update with some new linen would be a good idea.
The apartments are very open plan with only a key for your bedroom door. The living areas are shared between the rooms so cooking and chilling out is not in a private area for the guests downstairs. When we returned from an evening out, we enjoy a night cap and a chat or game of cards on the terrace, however, for two nights the people staying in the room below complained about the noise, even though it was not that late in the evening. We then felt that we had to be quiet for the rest of the time we were there. The second room in the Superior apartment is so small the double bed is up against the wall so it is really a single room with a double bed in it. That said, we enjoyed our stay and found it to be good value for money with spectacular views across the marina.
The people are really really kind, the apartment is fully equipped and comfortable, and the location is nice, with nice views on the see in a peaceful place (no noises - except those from the other guests).
The apartment is shared.
The host, Stephanie was absolutely lovely... She definitely made us feel at home and went an extra mile, even buying us some local pastries... The place was well located, near the bus stop and also near some good restaurants. The free internet was great and we had spectacular views from our room. Definitely recommend it!!!
Everything was great, no complaints
The first night I reached pretty late, and the owner picked me up, and put me in a villa (with a great panoramic view) halfway between the city and the airport, saving some extra travel. He even waited while I grabbed a Pizza. The actual apartment is a bit far (40 minutes walking) from the old town, but bus 6 conveniently takes you there. The bus stop is somewhat nonintuitive, but the owners explained the direction in a map.
The disappointing bit was we were given a room at ground floor, with no view at all. We booked it half tempted by the photo of the great view from the balcony. Also the rooms were a bit too cold without any heating arrangement.
Easy bus route to old city and main bus depot a walk away to get you out of town to Cavtat , mliini etc. people are friendly and helpful to tourist.
The communal area was nice and the kitchen very well equipped with all manner of utensils and appliances. Was nice to be out of the main town and see another part of Dubrovnik. A fairly nice 10 to 15 minute walk to Copacabana beach which is really nice. A shingle beach with a great vibe and only one bar, which is al you need. We went in September and there was a good buzz without ever being too busy. The swimming was fantastic. Beautiful clear and warm sea. There is still a fair amount of construction work going on in this part of Dubrovnik though so can look a bit unfinished. It's a very easy 15 minute journey to the Old Town by number 6 bus but beware there can be a real crush when getting the bus back. But it's worth it as the Old Town is just incredible. So worth coming. Very well equipped supermarket near by. Seems to be open all the time.
Where to start. The room we had (room 1) was pretty dreadful. Very gloomy and dark. The curtains were hanging off the rails looking really tatty and in fact just fell off completely at one stage. The bedding dated from the 50's and although I'm sure clean really didn't seem it and was faded and generally poor. The shower was poor also. Hot water was at a premium and you were lucky to make it to the end without it going cold. The room felt small and claustrophobic and very poorly equipped. The satellite tv barely worked at all. A real hodge podge of wires and set top boxes which don't seem to communicate with each other. The room smelt musty and on closer inspection some surfaces were dusty. No wifi which although seemed like a luxury when we first came to Croatia we now take as standard for almost everywhere expect apartment Toni. Doors and walls were thin so could hear all those in communal areas. We were lucky as this was not used much by others on our stay but could be a real issue if you have noisy neighbours. Although lady on arrival was friendly they had run out of maps or any kind of guidance which is essential when staying in this more remote area. Generally was left with a bad taste in the mouth from this place but this was mainly down to the room we had and it was the cheapest so can't comment on other rooms. If you are going to stay here though go for the higher end rooms. The restaurant on the dockside right outside the apartments was playing nice jazz in the evening but we sampled the food there and thought it poor. Lovely setting though. I would heartily recommend having a 10 minute walk around the area and checking out the other apartments on offer. Not all listed online and some great accommodation and deals to be had for much cheaper.
Our rest there was great. The apartment was good and we really enjoy our time there. The staff was friendly and helpful and I recommend you this place.
