Old world charm with a beautiful view
Breakfast was awful Feels like an old communist hotel Decor is REALLY dated No wifi
Location. Sense of history Cheap
The traffic but it did not bother me much actually.
The Location, the staff the atmosphere of the hotel and the food. Value for money.
Great location and very clean.
Everything was very old. The furnitures need to be replaced. There was noice from people moving around.
Location of the hotel and breakfast were really good.
It has a nice atmosphere but, it is a bit old, need to be a bit freshen up.
Excellent location. Really large rooms. Great breakfast and the best window view from our trip.
I loved this hotel! They were so helpful in the reception and it is a beautiful place. The rooms are worn, but there is a charm in that. It feels like stepping back in time and if you are interested in history, then it is a wonderful feeling imaging the place in its hayday. We will definitely try to return back here again. Thanks for this time!
Awesome front desk staff !!
Needs some refurbishing No terrace access for breakfast
Breakfast very good, a plus is the room where they serve it
The only negative for me is that the drain in the bathtub could not be plugged. I was really looking forward to a bath, after 2 months of travel with only showers. This was probably only a problem I'm our room, not really a big deal.
The hotel had a great location and beautiful views. This beautiful hotel is an architectural beauty. The decor of the rooms is a bit worn, but still nice and our beds were comfortable, with nice bed linens and soft towels in the bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had to leave early in AM to catch bus, so can't comment on included breakfast. I would happily stay here again, should I ever return to Opatija.
I liked everything: the atmosphere, style, beauty, grandeur, the sense of history, the staff...
For the price paid too little facilities were offered in the room or in hotel in general. Rooms were big, but empty, it was everywhere obvious that hotel past its best times. We had room with the balcony and the sea view, for which we paid extra. But view was partial, as it was blocked by other hotel on other side of the street, and noise from the streets was tremendous.
Beautiful old historical building, which, however, could use of solid refreshment. Till then it should at least lower the price of accomodation.
I regret I didn't stay longer. everything was great
Position, the great looking old building, great view, large rooms, nice atmosphere, excellent food, great value for money
The bar was always 'deserted', i.e. nobody was seen in duty
Breakfast and diner buffet was rich and tasty. Strand, shops, autibus station were near.
extra pay for parking bad is little bit noisy
food people location
The room we were allocated we were told was a free upgrade to a suite with a sea view as the standard rooms were full. This room looked as though it needed some tlc 30 years ago. We did not realise it came with air conditioning in the bathroom (a 25mm hole in the rotten window frame, which had no curtains / blinds and was fitted with CLEAR glass ?). The flooring looked like 1950`s lino.I dread to think what our STANDARD romm would have been like. The bed and furniture was "antique". The breakfast was very poor and the servers seemed very unhelpful. Glad we were only staying one night or would have looked elsewhere. When we arrived we were told the car park was full , but if we sat in the car for half an hour or so someone "may" leave !!. Would advise no one to stay here
Good value, great location -- walking distance to Bus Station, ATM nearby, swimming area right across the road, supermarket very nearby, friendly and helpful staff
Too noisy, could hear the music from the club as late as 3 a.m.. Then you could hear people talking outside and the motorcycles. Tables in the dining area too low everyone had a hard time putting their legs under the table. No airconditioning in the rooms but the summer wasn't too hot so we got by.
The dinners and breakfasts were really good with variety of food. Couldn't believe that even beer and wine were included during the dinner. Staff accomodated us by giving us the sea view and higher floor as we asked for. Parking is limited but they reserved us a spot.
For the hot summer days the air condition is unavoidable!
The Hotel is actually a very nice old palace, beautiful interior. The breakfast was perfect in a hall which one can see in the old movies.
Very, very dated and aging furnishings and fixtures. Food quality poor. Overpriced. Did not represent value.
