Grand Hotel Imperial  

We booked the Imperial mainly because it offered free parking and was close to the main harbour area. Although they said that parking was available and didn't need reservation there were only a few spaces left when we got there and the hot was far from full. The hotel does seemed to be aimed more at the older genration, particularly with the music guy playing keyboard music in the bar in the evenings. The buffet dinner was reasonable. It's far from gourmet food, but there is a reasonable selection to satisfy most tastes. But we would recommend staying clear of the wine, I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to wine and yet I couldn't drink it. Overall it's a reasonable hotel, the older generation (as in the retired) would probably enjoy it more than younger, well travelled folk. And I would probably rate as a 3.5 star rather than a 4 star hotel.

Probably our main complaint was that the bathroom didn't have an extractor fan (and no window either).

The hotel was very nice. If you are coming from North America, you have to remember that this is Europe and rooms are a little smaller. But, we were quite impressed with the facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Mr. Divic at the front desk, Mr. Josip (Head of Dining Room) and Marko ... one of the waiters. Only caveat is ... if you are coming with small children ... the beaches are rocky and not all that foot friendly. If you have a car ... DEFINITELY go to beach in Lopar ... it is sand and you can walk 400 meters and still be only at hip level!

Appena arrivati non avevano mai ricevuta la ns prenotazione, comunque sono riusciti a darci la camera lo stesso con due letti separati la prima notte e dalla seconda una camera matrimoniale. Per il resto tutto bene

Per un problema di overbooking non abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel ma in un altro da loro trovato (Hotel Carolina) in una baia vicino alla città di Rab. I giudizi sono riferiti all' hotel Carolina. Cordialità dello staff, colazione, e posizione praticamente sul mare in una bella baia.

Wifi a pagamento. Peccato perché oramai dovrebbe essere gratuito, almeno nella hall dell'albergo.

Confortevole, comodo. Ben organizzato per accogliere il turista esigente, come la famiglia; raffinato e ristrutturato senza rovinare lo stile liberty del palazzo originale che si affaccia su uno splendido giardino secolare.

La cucina è un pò troppo omologata agli standard internazionali, perdendo qualsiasi tipicità. Il servizio dei camerieri è veloce ed efficiente.

Buona la posizione dell'hotel, anche la spiaggia che si trova a 2 minuti a piedi è molto bella. Con pochi minuti di macchina si possono raggiungere le altre spiagge. Si trova anche a 100 metri dal centro cittadino. Buona la colazione e la cena. Le camere sono senza balcone....e l'estate non è il massimo ...anche lo stile sarebbe un pò da modernizzare compreso il bagno.

Very good 4-star hotel with excellent location in the center of a beautiful park, 2 minutes from the port. The hotel is from the 20s and renovated, modernized of course. Breakfast and dinner is quite rich and varied. Beer and wine is complimentary which is a very nice and surprising gesture. They give a ticket for a boat taxi to an other peninsula gratis. Parking is also free (outside).

Rooms are small, actually narrow, but ok. Cupboards are extremely small, so if you stay more than 3 nights you need to use your suitcases still. Besides the city tax they charge additionaly something like 'declaration cost' onto the bill which was not stated on booking.com. They have fitness and wellness, but all for charge for 'outside' and 'inside' guests too - pity. We have arrived later than 9 pm (until the dinner goes) and therefore asked to have some food in the room on arrival (for which we have paid). We got some cheese and ham, which was ok, but later they have charged extra for that, altough we have paid for the dinner which we did not take. Allover the hotel is ok, but the staff is quite morose at Front Desk and restaurant too.

Un seul réceptionniste (un jeune) était très aimable et professionnel. Les autres (plus âgés) sont désagréables et absolument pas orientés clientèle. Ils vous demandent de donner vite votre carte de crédit pour payer, ne vous laissent pas le temps de lire la facture et oublient de vous restituer votre passeport confisqué pendant la durée du séjour en garantie de paiement du séjour alors qu'ils détiennent le numéro de carte de crédit. Pas d'accès wifi dans les chambres. Il faut payer pour utiliser la wifi dans le hall d'entrée de l'hotel.

Posizione ottima. Buona colazione,camere pulite e accoglienti,aria condizionata fondamentale per il caldo sul'isola. Bello il servizio di taxi boat che in 10 min porta sulle spiagge più belle dell'isola.

Receptionist poco cortesi e poco informati sulle cose da visityare,sulle trattorie, in generale poco attenti alle richieste del cliente
