Hotel Istra  

The Hotel was fine in all respects, and the location was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves here as the sea was 10 meters away, and the city a few minutes walk. Lovely town. Lovely memories.

The location is just on the beach of the cliff.

Not air condition. The widows were on the street side and it was noisy.

The reviews are deceptive. The rooms are small and facilities are basic, but I don't see what else other guests can expect at this price. Staff were generally friendly and professional. The location is excellent and the rooms were clean and adequate for the price. Great resort with nice restaurants, but avoid if you expect sandy beaches.

Outdoor pool is to be avoided, though swimming in the sea. Indoor pool was disappointing - strange smell.

It wasn't to expensive. It's location was quite good.

The room I got was small and didn't have a sea-view. The hotel is suitable for those who intend to spent the whole day out, and only sleep there. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who is looking for a place to rest and spend the day in.

Nothing! To be honest it spoiled the good opinion of Opatije we gained on our last visit at a different hotel. To try to be supportive, it is well situated.

In summer this coast is hot and the hotel has NO AIR CONDITIONING. There was no escape from the heat even when sleeping naked with the windows wide open. There was no really fresh food at breakfast and meat and cheese products were processed and inferior. Coffee was from a machine (diluted sweetened powder) and the juice was not fresh fruit juice but diluted squash. Although there was an extremely small stuffy elevator (full with 2 people + suitcases), it was impossible to get from reception to bedrooms or down to the pool etc, without climbing steps- absolutely no facilities for the disabled and old! This hotel was obviously dependent on short stay coach parties and was clearly not interested in its private clientele. To sit at breakfast was to watch exhausted coach party clients sit puffing and mopping their sweating brows. We felt it was run "on the cheap" with comparitively elderly staff. Although not an expensive hotel, for its facilities, service and quality of food, it was VERY POOR VALUE. Its basic requirements to bring it up to an acceptable standard are: Air Conditioning, lift facilities to all areas and better resourced, fresh food.

The location of the hotel is great. Right by the sea, and very short walking distance from the centre of town. The breakfast is quite ok. The room is clean, and overall good value for money. I would be happy to go back, in the condition of gutting a sea side room rather than a road one.

If you don't get a sea view and have the room facing the road, it is extremely loud from the cars. You have to have the window open as there is no air conditioning, and would be way too stuffy and hot otherwise. However road side rooms specially lower floor, really load from the road.

Sun (on the beach) only up to 16 hours.The room is very stuffy (no air conditioner), if you open the window very noisily.

Der Badestrand und die Lage des Hotels. Das sehr nette und zuvorkommendes Personal. Der hauseigene Parkplatz war für mich als PKW-Eigenanreisender auch optimal.

Die Sauberkeit des Naßraumes waren ein Problem. Weiters hatten wir auch Probleme mit den Rollläden, welche nicht zur Gänze heruntergelassen werden konnten bzw. aus der Verankerung fielen. Straßenseitiges Zimmer war auch ein Nachteil, aber nicht wegen dem Straßenlärm sontern wegen der Klimaanlage aus der Umgebung.

L'aspetto positivo e' senza dubbio la posizione centrale, e la vista sul mare molto bella! Colazione abbondante e offerta di molteplici servizi!

Diciamo che nonostante alcuni aspetti positivi, la stanza era molto piccola, il bagno ancora di piu' (senza areatore e senza bidet)....e forse con una ristrutturazione generale potrebbe diventare un hotel molto molto bello!

Doručak, prljava kupaonica, sobarica koja ne mijenja ručnike I u nedjelju ujutro upada redom po sobama.
