Hotel LapadLapadska obala 37, Lapad, 20 000 Dubrovnik (Show map) Very good, Score from 324 reviews“The hotel was fantastic value for money and the breakfast was first class. The hotel staff were very attentive, but if there's one thing I look for in a hotel is cleanliness. This hotel ticked all the boxes for me and was in a very pleasant location.”

This is an excellent hotel well located at the harbour giving great views and good walks day or evening. The staff were pleasant and helpful, although the Croarians are reserved when you make the effort to speak to them they are very outgoing. The rooms are beautifull and well proportioned. The food isn't as good as we liked although the breakfasts were. However, there are plenty of reasonable restaurants nearby. We found The restaurant Blidinje, 100 yards to the right on leaving the hotel to be very good with a roof terrace with great views.

The Hotel Lapad is situated just ten minutes away, by bus, from the Old town of Dubrovnik.Buses are frequent and tickets may be purchased from the hotel reception. The staff are helpful and and the reception staff have good command of the English language. Our room was in the old part of the hotel and was large, comfortable and stylish. We would use this hotel again.

great location, very quiet on side of harbour but within easy reach of more lively areas on foot, & on Bus Route (No 6 bus) to take you to the Old Town. Great choices for breakfast, staff friendly and very helpful. Had dinner outside on terrace next to pool one evening - lovely. Busy round the pool but quite quiet and relaxing, poolside bar very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have been given an upgrade on arrival to a lovely suite at the front of the hotel - all good

It was a clean fashionable hotel. The beds were comfortable. The staff were pleasant and professional. It was in an ideal situation for the bus into the old town. The breakfast service was particularly good. We probably would have made more use of the bar/restuarant but felt it was a little overpriced.

On the waterfront and two blocks from a wide variety of restaurants. Friendly English speaking staff able to direct us everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast buffet included a wide variety of food and drink, and the manager on duty one morning slipped me a nice smiley face pancake to surprise my wife with. Also, the hotel's island hopper boat was half the price of other similar island tours, but I don't think it runs beyond September. The pool was so cold, nobody ever used it.

The staff were really ncie and helpful and the location is really good. The pool is lovely I think it would be improved if there was better snack options available to buy in the hotel and the buffet dinner wouldn't appeal to be but it did seem very popular. The oj at breakfast was awful but the rest of the breakfast is pretty tasty.

Location was superb, quiet but handy for the Old Town, beach, and the port, and close to a good range of restaurants at Lapad Beach. A little pricey but worth the money

Comfortable and clean rooms, very good breakfast Although the staff members were very nice and helpful in general, some of them were unaccountably rude. Also, it is very easy to get lost in the network of corridors and elevators. Location may be bothersome for those who look for fast connection with the rest of the town.

Too far from main tourist sites, relatively inaccessible to public transport (bus stop opposite for alighting), 1km uphill for travel back to city.

Friendly Staff. All in all, we feel cheated! The photos in the internet give the impression of a nice old Building with a quite big Swimmingpool, that was the reason we booked it. On arrival we learned that the front (which seems to be the hotel in the pictures) is more or less just the entrance. We got a small room in the 8th!!! Floor. To reach it we needed three!!! Elevators plus running around with a good chance to get lost. The actual hotel is placed in three buildings up the hill. The picture of the Hotel front is a barefaced fake!!! The extremly small pool was a joke too. For an 8th floor hotel we counted around ten sunbeds - of course all occupied. The breakfast looked good - on the first view. The poor coffe is handet out like in some canteen in former Jugoslavia, the juice is a kind of concentrate and the fruits are from the can. Conclusion: Fake picuters! Value for money poor! They`ll see us never again!

Hotel staff is very helpful and skilled in dealing with customers. The front building is beautiful and in an excellent location. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Our room in the back building was far too dark (hardly any natural light) and a bit on the small side.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a lovely view overlooking the harbour and easy access via the local bus into town. Having the swimming pool at the front if the hotel I wouldn't feel comfortable with people walking in and out of the hotel while lying by the pool!

Hotel Lapad is in an ideal location in Dubrovnik's new port. Close by is a pedestrian street which leads to Lapad beach and 5 minutes' walk in the opposite direction is the bus stop for the Old City. On return the bus stops immediately outside the hotel. There are some good restaurants close by. Hotel staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast options are varied and plentiful. In October at season's end prices are very reasonable for a 4* hotel. As in most hotels fruit juice is watered at breakfast. (Why do they all do that? Surely it can't save much?) Coffee is tolerable. Again most hotels serve poor coffee at breakfast. For a 4* towels are on the thin side. On the whole though I had a very enjoyable stay.

I was on a business trip and unfortunately did not stay long enough to explore all the hotel had to offer, however I enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast and a nice dinner held in a lovely greenhouse type restaurant enabling one to enjoy the weather outside without being exposed to it. I enjoyed a good night's sleep on a new and very comfortable matress (very important to me, particularly my troubled back), room was very clean and spacious and last but not least the very friendly staff. The hotel is opposite a bay with boats with the mountains as background; a very picturesque site. If I visit Durbovnic again I would have no hesitation to stay at the Hotel Lapad. Croatia is a lovely country with much to offer and I for sure will be back.

Nice room, nice hotel, nice staff. Pool is nice but don't count on using it if you don't come in July/August - water is too cold. Toilet door is transparent, kinda funny. Getting to the old city requires a 10min walk to the bus station. Hotel street / neighborhood is dead at nights, ina kiosk which is 10min walk closes at around 8pm.
