Excellent breakfasts - beautifully cooked and presented artistically - sets one up for the day!!
the only thing I would have liked was a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea when we got there and at the end of the day.
Owner was very friendly, nice and hospitable. Room was very very clean. Very nice bathroom and bed was fantastic. Garden was fantastic. Owner settled parking for us in a private garaze. Price was excellent.
A little bit noisy because it was situated next to the breakfast hall.
Location in the midle of a long. sair. Nobody at spot in the afternoon to receive guests and no information about how to find someone. Be sure to ask for parking in advance or else be prepared to pay about 3€ per hour, day and night. Don't count on the owner for any support. Definitly a place to avoid
The room and garden were lovely. Free parking BUT it's not on site.
Be prepared to walk up hundreds of steps from old town. O.K. But also 70 steps from the road with your luggage. You can not get anywhere near with a car.
We booked a room with balcony and ocean virws but the room was given to someone else. We were oferred a tiny dark and damp basement level room full of mosquitoes. Positively the worst place we have ever stayed in. The owner does not understand the business and can not be rellied upon to honour the booking agreement. Do yourself a favour. Book somewhere else.
barely working wifi, no wifi in the room
Room was very nice and clean. They provided us with free parking on an underground parking. It's just a 8min walk from old town.
Was a bit difficult to discover the apartment and speaking with the lady on duty was hard. Also they told us that they would provide us with the Wi-Fi password and didn't.
The location was great. The garden was beautiful and it felt very homey.
Gates don't open until check in so you have to call if you can leave your bags or not. There is no sign on the main gate so it's not clear if you're in the right location. Wifi is so slow it's unusable.
The size of the suit was fine and the ground it stood in where pleasant
Firstly to reach the hotel you need. To climb 80 steps once you open the door to the proprty more steps no pressure In shower water sink plug does not work no wifi
The house is just 10 minutes by foot from the old center of Dubrovnik. It also has a really nice garden with small tables to hang around.
The sheets were clean, but the room just had a smell of old furniture and humidity. Also, when I made the reservation, it was stated that the house had a private parking with no reservation needed and also wi-fi. When we arrived, the lady told us that we should have made a reservation for the parking lot and told us we should park in the public garage(about 3min). Also, we needed wifi for booking a room in Split for the next night. We arrived in the room and found out that there was not even an avalable network to connect to. So..no wi-fi for us.
The room with a view over the old town; the lovely garden and the peace and quiet; WiFi access; charming, clean room and bathroom
The 80 steps up to the gate, then at least another 10 to the front door - beware if you are thinking of carrying your bag up! Also make sure you read arrival details as the manageress lives down below in a separate dwelling and the upstairs gate to Limestone House is usually locked. The manageress is very gruff and didn't make me feel welcome
no parking near facility, property is not accessible via street by car. its located up the stairs in alley, difficult to unload the baggage as the stairs from the alley are leading to very busy one way street where you cannot stop. also there is no sign of the property visible on the street, absolute not able to find it via gps as the street is non existent. we stumbled upon the owner going from shop to shop asking if they know where it could be. quite frustrating actually. the number of the house was completely different from the booking.com address,
The room was reasonable with light, gardens were very nice.
Impossible to find (no explanation that you have to go to the travel agency first) Staff were very short and unhelpful. It felt like everything was an effort for them and it was inconvenient that we were staying there. Breakfast was terrible; probably the worst I have had despite being told the day before how good it was by the owner.
Hotel is nice and confortable for couples. Location is OK
Difficult to find
Comfortable villa, romantic terrace where we had breakfast, cuisine was great, our room was very clean, excellent location (10 min walk to the main gates of the old town down the stares all the way). However, parking was a problem as villa doesn't provide one. We had to pay around 240 kunas from 9pm till 11am, otherwise had to search for a free space along the road.
My boyfriend and I booked the hotel through the booking.com, we were going to Dubrovnik for 5 days and we choose to stay in the Limestone House. In a few minutes after I booked the hotel, I realized that for us was better to go in another date. Because I made the book just 6 days before the trip, was not possible to change the reservation through the site, since they allow it only until 7 days before the check in, so I sent an email asking if was possible to change according to our needs. However, we did not get the answer. Not even when we arrived for the check in. Moreover, as the site said, we had the booking for that day. We arrived early and we had some problems to find the place, we went there using GPS but there was nothing on the door saying that it was the right place, neither an intercom nor doorbell. The staff asked for our booking confirmation, and we gave it. We asked for a place to leave our luggage and the person allow us to leave in our room (should be at least) even if it was not ready yet. She asked for a passport to hold with them. A couple hours after we came back, another person knock on our door asking another time for our booking confirmation telling us that probably we made confusion with the hotel and we were not supposed to be there. With our confirmation in hand and after 15 minutes on the phone with someone trying to solve this, she said sorry and said that it was a staff problem, to not worry about that. We were very tired and went to sleep. Some time after I heard strong knocks on the door, I woke up frightened. It was a woman, the owner. She went into our room REALLY ANGRY and SCREAMING a lot of offensive things to us. Saying that we were liars, that we had no respect, that we showed three times the wrong reservation. Just when she talked about the other date, we understood what it was all about. I tried to explain that nobody answered us or changed our confirmation so was IMPOSSIBLE GUESS that they changed our booking.
Location. Beautiful garden. 10 min walk to old town.
Nice room kept clean and lovely gardens
No wifi signal and rude staff also there are a lot of steps!
Good apartment's location, beautiful garden, very good breakfasts,
Room in a former basement (ground floor), dark, humid, cramped. Promised "terrace" was tiny and localized under stairs. Not worth it's price
Very quite and nice place, under the window there is small garden with table and funny family of turtles.Good wifi in the room, tasty fruits and cakes every morning free)Limestone 1 near to the street it means- minus 80 steps)
many steps-from Old Town 280) it was hard in the sun,but after 1 week Ia have another shape of legs)
Clean rooms, Perfect breakfast worth money. Beautiful garden and quiet place just few minutes from Dubrovnik oldtown.
A bit hard to find, lots of steps.
It was such a lovely time in Limestone House I. Its garden is magnificient, stuff is helpful and room was comfortable. (I've stayed the room in the ground floor with good wifi connection and double bed) It was good value for money.
Only negative part is the stairs that you need to climb when you down to the old town. But it is ok if you do not have any health issues as it takes like max 10 minutes and you walk with nice atmosphere through old town. Some exercise is asset.)
Atmosphere good. Room clean but for mosquito.
Bathroom too small. And sure wish I had known about those 85 stairs.
It was very close to the Old Town and very quiet. In general, I loved this place and would recommend to anyone.
Wi-Fi should be improved.
