After arriving at the apartment address on Hrvojeva St, we were told that this was only a meeting point. After a phone-call a lady arrived approx 20mins later and explained that our apartment was not at this location and brought us to another appt, which was unsuitable for 5 people. She then offered us 2 separate appts, but we wanted to all stay together. After approx 2hrs she showed us to a final 5-bed appt, trailing suitcases through cobbled streets. The apartment was on the top floor of a building with 70+ steps to it. This was very difficult with 5 large suitcases and 2 of our party 65+ years old. This made it very inconvenient for us to return to our rooms throughout the day. All in all we were very unhappy with the apartment offered to us.

We stayed at Kralja Zvonimira 12, room 1. Maximum 10 minutes walk to the very fine Bacvice Beach, 5 minutes to ferry port/bazaar/Diocletian's Palace. Well-equipped kitchen (oven, pans, kettles, pots, fridge, sink, various plates etc.), quick air conditioning, big shower. A lovely bakery is just around the corner, various shops, kiosks, a "Tommy" supermarket etc. can be found in a radius of just 50 metres. Special bonus: kinda sea view from the balcony. Very friendly, helpful and tolerant host who'll contact you in advance of your arrival, so check-in is not necessarily at 2 pm. The beds are a bit too hard and noisy, but you will get used to it. It was complicated to get the key. Advice: go, if not appointed differently with the host by mail/SMS, to Lukaciceva Street 5. You'll find this alley within the palace walls, in the left-hand corner behind the cathedral when coming from the Silver Gate, I.E. in the same square as the Ethnographic Museum is situated. Knock at the door of the very first apartment in the basement, the lady will (even though this one does not speak English, the host does) establish the contact between you and the host or a person that will get you to the host.

The reservation system was chaotic. On arrival at the address there was no sign of life. After a call and a wait of 1.5hrs, we were told that our apartment had been let to someone else. We were moved to a flat out if town, where we did not want to be. No explanation was given. Do not make a booking with this outfit !!!

I liked the location and the terrace that we could use- it was amazing. I loved the location, the cost was very reasonable, and the decor was very nice. It was hard to locate the apartment in venice (not very clear, no signs etc) also the info from the booking site wasn't very helpfull to find the apartment and what to do when you got there.

We located the jewellery shop (to collect the key) without too much difficulty and a very pleasant young woman took us to the apartment and showed us the ropes. The apartment is superb. It is extremely comfy and funky and well equipped should you wish to self-cater. And the bedroom is particularly beguiling. It also could hardly be more central, tucked up a pretty cobbled alley about a minute from the main square.

The location within the edge of the palace was excellent. Also the room did not suffer from outside noise during sleeping times. The decor of the room was fun and the kitchen well-equipped. The staff are exceptional. The aircon is too noisy to keep on overnight leaving the room hot. The bed is uncomfortable and hard to get in and out of as it is fixed to one wall. There are fittings for a washing machine but no machine.

We stayed at the Bana Jelacice apartments. The location was excellent for access to the Riva, and were very clean and spacious. The studio for 2 did not have a balcony as advertised, but the 3+1 apartment did. The 3+1 apartment also had 2 bathrooms with shower, not just 1. Also, we used the transfer service that they recommended. I don't know if the price was good (€48) from the airport, but the taxi driver was very informative about Split, and also arranged for someone to be at the apartments with the key when we arrived, so our transfer was perfect! They also allowed us late check out, until 2pm, since we were leaving on the 5pm catamaran. I would definitely recommend these apartments!

Really nice, helpful, english-speaking owner provided instructions and brochures for sight-seeing options upon our arrival. Apartment was really close to the old city, riviera and the port. It was really well equipped including even a washing machine. If you are lucky you can park right in front of the building for free ;). With the exception of these apartments, the building looks rather dingy. There is no elevator so be prepared to drag your luggage up the stairs.

The location of the apartment was great, only 2 minutes to town and 10 minutes to closest beaches. The apartment had everything we needed and was comfortable. We got a free car park directly across the street which was lucky because it gets busy. Sandra was great and gave us lots of useful information. We would definitely stay there again.

The place is literally right in the wall of the old palace. Fantastic location to everything and beautiful view out the window. There is a shared rooftop patio that has a fantastic view of the sea. No washing machine in the room but the cleaning lady washed our clothes. The shower wasn't draining properly and water kept leaking out of the shower causing the whole washroom floor to be wet.

Location The address given was changed on arrival with no notification. Hire bikes were being delivered and this caused total frustration for all parties involved. No one was there to meet us on arrival : had to call and this was not included on any information in the confirmation e:mail. As a result wasted a total of 3 hours chasing the owner and re organising the delivery of hire bikes. Not happy!

The apartment owner was very friendly, picked us up from the bus station, was available on mobile and ready to assist us with further travel. The apartment was bright and spacious and clean and had wi-fi and cable, and everything you needed as well as some little extras. It was very conveniently located close to the centre of town and felt very secure. Then only negative was that the shower rod was broken - which can be easily fixed and was not representative of the overall accommodation.

Very central location. It was difficult to find the place as it is situated in the old town and was not found by navigation system. Difficult to find free parking in the area. Too high and big, very uncomfortable pillows.
