Palace Suites  

Staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms are worth the money, it was clean, comfortable & wifi worked properly (an important factor as I book my next destination, travel online once I arrive to my current one) but it's the location that makes this stay. You can go & explore the town, come back for a short rest, refresh & head out again. It's right on top of a square with cafes below so there is some noise into the night but that adds to charm, the location has a vibe or life, it is Split afterall & that's what I wanted to experience. Definately recommended to others.

The hotel had sufficient lighting but half the downlights were burnt out, easy to replace but were not… let down the impression slightly. Stairs to get up but expected & if you want a lift choose accomodation outside of Stari Grad.

Excellent service, comfortable quiet room in town centre, ideally placed for visitor attractions and restaurants.

Great location on the outside walls of Diocletian's Palace. The staff were very friendly, they provided maps and tips. The suites are beautifully decorated and very modern. We also managed to get a lite breakfast as we had a early flight.

There is no fire alarm system in the hotel and reception is closed at nights. We didn't get a receipt of the accommodation even we asked it twice. There is no breakfast available before 8 am.

Rooms were excellently appointed with everything we needed. The location was central to Splits main attractions. The hotel manager was very personable and gave us good guidance on local restaurants etc. Recently renovated and had a good combination of old/new feel. Breakfast was well presented and tasty.

No lift in hotel (manager told us one was unable to be put in due to heritage nature of the building). As it was a newer hotel it wasn't identified on local maps however was quite easy to find and manager provided simple directions.

Quite expensive but paying for location - and the location is excellent in the heart of the old town. The hotel is also a little difficult to find but we got there after after circles of the square!

The reception set up could be better - it feels like you are entering someone's home rather than a 4* hotel.

Dajana, the young woman who hosted us, was terrific. She was able to give us specific ideas of what to see and where to eat (good local food, not tourist hangouts). Palace Suites is ideally located on the main square. Our room had a great view of the plaza activities. The room itself was the best we've stayed in. Very comfortable bed, bathroom was upscale, and a nice continental breakfast served in our room.

Only minor inconveniences: the shower sliding door was loose; and the light above the mirror in the bath burned out.

Beautiful room. Great and friendly staff. Wonderful surprise when checking in as we had been upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite.

Palace Suites has a fabulous location and the price on booking.com was excellent. The breakfast, served in the room was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Above all else, the staff is tremendous. Very considerate, knowledgeable and willing to talk. We will return.

The location was perfect and the room and amenities were close to the best of our three week trip. The staff were especially friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

The rooms are not conveniently set up for taking breakfast in them but this a very minor matter.

Great location near the palace. Wonderful contemporary design, all the comforts plus reception person who could tell you all the ends and outs of Split and surroundings. Lush towels, delightful views overlooking the People's Plaza, just a few meters from the bay and restaurants. Three thumbs up!

Very comfortable rooms, good location, nice and friendly staff

It was right in the center of the palace accessible to food/wine/stores and all the sites. However, since its in the center of the square there is no parking on site if you drive. You have to park behind the train stattion which is across the street fro the ferry, the cost is 100 Kuno. If this is not the price you are in the wrong parking lot. You get continential breakfast in- room whih is a nice touch..Overall nice stay and the rooms were clean newly renovated rooms.

No microwave/coffee pot or hot water kettle in the room. Bathroom smelled like the outside sea /sewage.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we needed help locating a Pharmacy on a Saturday and the person on duty was really helpful in finding one that was open. Breakfast was delivered dead on time which was fortunate as we were tight for time having to leave for the Airport for an early flight. The room was lovely and spacious, very clean with a large shower cubicle in a large en-suite room, it had a large comfortable bed and 3 seater settee. The Air-conditioning and double Glazing were both very efficient. We were overlooking the square in the old quarter, but as it is an old building and could not have a lift fitted so ascending the three long flights of stairs could be a problem for the disabled or infirm.
