The hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre of Zagreb and is close to the train station. In front of the hotel is a tramway for tram running inside the city. Opposite is a big city garden with many green trees. The exterior of the hotel looks historical and grand. The hotel is old in style. Room decoration is old. Room size is small and not noisy-proof. We could only open one lugguage on the floor at a time. Staff service on the lobby counter was just average and response was not prompt. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor, at the end of a lane, which required us to take some up and down step ways with our lugguages! The hotel provides free WiFi services but we could not get access to it inside our room. After reporting, we could get access but the signal was just weak. The most annoying thing is that throughout our two day stay, a cleaning service cart has been parked just outside our room all the time. We needed to pass through it whenever we went out. We felt like we were staying in the hotel backyard.

The hotel is very well located, just a 10m walk from the pedestrian centre of Zagreb. The room was very clean and had a nice view over the front park and avenue. It is quite a pretty hotel, with a charming decoration from the early twenties though functional and with all the regular amenities one could expect. The breakfast had plenty of variety and was good. The room overlooked the main avenue which was nice but slightly noisy at times when the trams passed. However this was not a main inconvenient, it wouldn't deter me from staying there again as it was not that noisy...

Classic old European hotel. Recent improvements. New carpet and wall paper. Good breakfast. Good location across from a park and short walk to most attractions. The bed was a little soft.

The location and breakfast were great. We stayed here twice, both at the start and end of our Croation holiday. The first stay (4 days) saw us placed in a room that honestly flet like we were living in broom closet in back end of the hotel. The beds were hideously hard and uncomfortable. The second stay (1 night) saw almost the opposite, room somewhat larger, much more comfortable bed and nearer the front of the hotel.

This is an old hotel, that could do with a bit of renovation. Although there is a lift, getting to our room required us to go up and down a couple of flights of stairs, which was a pain with heavy bags. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast had a fairly large selection of all the normal offerings.
