Plitvice Ethno House  

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. The supper was excellent.

Good value for money we paid for.

The staff made us feel at home. They also cooked dinners only for their guests and they were out of this world and very large. The buffet breakfast in the morning was worth the price of the room. We were able to see the lakes in Plitvice and took advice from our hosts. Overall it was great experience.

Spanking new place giving the appearance of a lodge that gave one a feeling of cosiness and a desire to bottle the venue for future njghts. And the male host offered us some rakija that made the welcome especially "warm." Great place to stay during a Plitvice Lakes outing.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms were modern.

Note that there are many steps and stairs both outside and inside to overcome with a stroller. The hotel is located right next to the main road, but this seems to be the case with most hotels we came across in Jezera.

Very attractive with lovely natural setting. Good breakfast with variety of choices.

To expensive for what they offer. Ecquipment of the room very modest. Old beds (creaking) Dining: only 2 menus available: EUR 16.- (too much for just soup and meat) Vine: be careful: the ceapest bottle EUR 20.- - up to EUR 40.-!! and this in a most simple basement-room (nearly a cellar) Better: drive 2 miles to Jesero-Hotel: better food, lower prices and nice ambiance. Unfortunately we forgot 3 pairs of trousers in this hotel in the wardrobe. We wrote twice: no answer....!!!

No desert at dinner.

We particularly liked the help and service from Alexandria and her family. They were very patient in answering questions they were probably asked 100 times and their suggestions were always good. They suggested a great restaurant nearby and also provided a wonderful meal the following night at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The hotel is next to the highway but did not have any noise issues especially after a big day at the lakes. We highly recommend Ethno House.

Our stay at Ethno House was lovely. This family run guest house was beautiful inside and out. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was excellent and the bathroom equally smart. We will be returning there next year with our parents. I would recommend this establishment to anyone thinking of going to visit the lakes. The entrance is 2-3 km down the road.

Very friendly, clean, rustic yet comfortable, staff very helpful, outdoor pool, close to national park.......food ok....

Food could be more creative bt okay for one night----no other restaurants for 10 Km.

Rustic, romantic Austrian mountain lodge type place - solid meat or fish and potatoes fare, but good - magnificent surroundings.

The daughter, who is the face of the family business, was very nice & helpful. Our luggage was lost by the airline when we flew into Zagreb. She was very helpful coordinating the shipment of our suitcases to their hotel and had them waiting in our room when we returned from hiking at Plitvice.

Plitvice Ethno House was the first place where we staid at in Croatia on our honeymoon. We had been travelling whole day and walking for three hours in Plitvice lakes and arrived to the hotel late. The staff was very understanding and polite. All those friendly words and positivity staid in our minds throughout our holiday. We got dinner right away and there was also champaign waiting for us in our room as requested. On the day of check-out we didn't have any cash allthough we had been informed about the hotel not accepting credit cards. Alexandra directed us to the nearest ATM and everything went just fine. It was so comforting when the staff told us that the hotel is a very safe place and the whole country is safe. Thank you so much for a great experience and a comfortable stay at your hotel in those extraordinarily corgeaous landscapes!

The staff are really thoughtful and helpful.

A wonderfull countrystyle place to stay whilst visiting the stunning national park. The hostess does everything to make you comfortable and at home, this is certainly a place we will return to when rivisiting Plitvice. We felt so good over here!

Who cannot like this place, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Nothing!!!

A bit hard to find if you don't have a car.

The hotel buildings were one of the prettiest in the area with a great little swimming pool out the front. After a week of being in croatia we did not find the croatian people to be too friendly. This was the first place we came to and got a smile. The owners here were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you. I would definately recommend this property.

The pillows were a little flat!

Helpful, friendly staff. Clean & comfortable room with towels changed daily. Choice of outdoor areas to relax - including pool, sun- loungers & shaded seating. Good quality - & quantity, of food for breakfast & dinner.

Creaky beds - irritating in a family room. Some broken or missing slats that needed replacing to prevent mattresses from sagging. We were not made aware that we could order drinks & snacks outside of mealtimes. We would have purchased from the hotel rather than searching for a local shop had we known earlier. Next to a busy road.

Staff is friendly

The breakfast was very weak, with small amount of food!!!! There was a lot of noise and from the room we could hear the sound of the rain crushing into the roof.

The room was very comfortable, new, clean and cozy. The shower was excellent, even for tall people. Good morning breakfast & good proximity to the park.

Dinner. I wish they just had a regular menu and not a "set" menu for 16 euros. We ended up going 7 kms down the road for dinner both nights for a fraction of the cost (and for vegetarian options). Staff isn't very welcoming.

Very comfortable and new. Dinner was a real bonus as the traffic was horrendous and we did not want to go out. Great location for Park no. 2 entrance. Owners very professional .

Very close to main road and traffic noise was constant. Room was air conditioned , so windows could be closed to block out noise.
