The hotel was central to everything and while old, still had a lovely atmosphere |

Good value and wonderful view of the ampitheatre at Pula from my room. It is an old hotel and many other reviewers mention faults which may have been true. I enjoyed my stay there. |

Very close to the harbour and ampitheatre, easy walk into town. Grand foyer area and nice sunny terrace for breakfast. We had to check out very early so staff arranged a packed breakfast for us to collect. We had a very early flight and staff said they would arrange a taxi at 4am which did not turn up. Another was ordered and arrived 40 minutes after we needed it. Luckily we allowed for time! Large room but shabby, hot water takes a long time. |

Interesting building reminiscent of colonial and communist days. Friendly helpful staff who spoke good English. They provided a packed breakfast since I was catching an early ferry - it lasted me all day! Food and drink service stopped rather too early. Well located but not very well signposted. Like Pula itself, needs investment which would bring good returns but then put it out of the league of those looking for an overnight stop on the way into Croatia |

Huge rooms with high ceilings and views of ampitheatre out of paint-peeling, wood-peeling windows. In need of several licks of paint, buckets of TLC, but precisely why I found it it charming. Really good breakfast for the price. Helpful receptionists. Very limited food availlable at restaurant. Wifi supposed to work on 1st floor but for me only worked on ground floor. Carpets more bare than thread and stained through with the mishaps of several decades - part of the charm .... |

The rooms and corridors were huge and very high. The furniture was of very good quality and the staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed the view of the sea and the convenience to the town centre. The window frames were falling out and needed replacing immediately, the hot water tap had to be run for 10 to 15 minutes before hot water came through |

Beautiful historical building. Excellent location within 10 minutes walk of old town, train station, bus station, and ferry terminal. Room was spacious with nice view. Bed was comfortable. No screens on windows. I had problems with mosquito bites. The carpets were old and not clean. There was a problem with the shower, but this was fixed promptly when I complained. |

Hotel Riviera was the only hotel I could find in the centre of Pula. We wanted to see the Roman Amphitheatre and our room had a great view of the monument itself The carpet in our room was so stained and torn that I put my shoes on before getting out of bed |

The hotel architecture is splendidly unspoilt by any attempt at modernisation. It is within a few hundred metres of the railway terminus. The lack of air conditioning, and general air of slight dilapidation. |

This was a fantastic building needs some tender loving care to bring it up to date. Its unfortunate that the summer disco (July and August) is on every night until 4a.m. |

The reception staff were good, were able speak to several languages very well, and were helpful. The building itself had been fabulous in its day, but unfortunately had been let go badly. The ball rooms, staircases and terrace had been fabulous, however .......... the rooms, carpets, bathrooms, no airconditioning, mosquitoes, electrical capabilities of the room, accoustics etc were lamentable - however, the price was cheap. We had heard it was bad, but we did not realise how bad it was. |

Unusual architecture and interior. The old 1960's or 70's decor was unusual. Lovely balcony and view of the harbour. Old and in need of modernization. For example, the bed easily broke and sleeping was quite a challenge - I fell through the bed twice and do not know how heavy people deal with it. The disco outside kept me awake also. The door did not appear secure. After the collapsing bed I avoided the balcony. |

Hotel had a grand feel about it even though it was quite old. Nonetheless it was clean and everything was provided for. Air conditioning was the only thing missing. Lack of airconditioning. Also did not like how once food items ran out at breakfast they were not replaced even though there was still half an hour to go of breakfast time. |

It was close to the center of town It was very old! Literally caught in the 80'S. it felt dirty! It was not close to the beach. No a/c which during the summer time is a bit unbearable! No shower curtain on shower. It was wayyy too expensive for the quality of the hotel. |

It was very quiet in the room, nobody bother us. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the coloseum. The breakfast was poor, no air-conditioning, internet connection was until 3rd floor (we were at 4th one), no fridge inside the room. The water from the sea was hotter than the hot one from the hotel... :) |

Hotel Histria is situated in a wonderful location dominantly raised above the sea coast, only four kilometers away from the historic center of Pula, opposite Marina Veruda. |
