Hotel San Rocco    

Excellent service and food - great style and charm - classy and comfortable

The hotel and staff were exceptional, very unique in setting tasteful layout exceptionally delicious food and presentation. The area is picturesque. Not only access gourmet, olive oil and wine routes but also bike routes which are labeled perfectly and are enjoyable to follow. We will come back :).

The staff were really friendly and the hotel is in an ideal place to explore the region of Istria, this was our first visit to Croatia and we were captivated by its charm. We were away for a week and spent the first four nights at the San Rocco. The village is small and was fairly quiet, we ate at the hotel twice and once at the taverna by the church in the village which was excellent local fare and one night we drove out to a local restaurant recommended on trip advisor. The pool area was delightful and nice to return to after a days exploring. The rooms were as you would expect in a building of this nature, fairly spacious and well equipped, good air conditioning which was vital whilst we were there Bar prices and food was reasonable for a hotel of this quality. Lovely touch on leaving when they present you with a gift of the fabulous local oil and vinegar.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like but we did borrow the bikes one day and they were not up to standard, I wonder how much use they get but if you are going to offer them as a facility they shoud be well maintained, we struggled to find two that seemed ok and then one only had a third of the gears working and the other only half a pedal, so we had ro curtail the extent of our planned ride. Also breakfast was a little limited, particularly when staying for more than one night, no jam, no prepared fruit except for one morning and limited hot choice, fried eggs do not sit around well. The restaurant was good in so much it is nice to sometimes not have to venture out and we are aware that it has a good reputation but we did not find the menu very inspiring, we did not opt for the gastronomique menus as these were all fish courses and a couple of things we ordered from the fairly small a la carte were not available. In all fairness we nay have been unlucky in what we ordered as each time what we saw arriving to other tables looked very good whereas our own choices were not as inviting. There was a profusion of foam and truffle on the menu, I do wonder if there is perhaps a market in Istria for a more adventurous version of the menu tipico rather than a not quite good enough attempt at the high end cuisine which for us did not quite work. Overall though do not let this put you off from staying or eating here, the friendliness and surroundingas more than make up for any small shortcomings.

ALLES !! sehr schöne lage, schöne einrichtungen, sehr gutes restaurant, sehr freundliche mannschaft

Schwimmbad, freundliches Personal, ausgezeichnete Küche

Etwas laut durch Autobahn, unsere Badewanne hatte ein notdürftig repariertes Loch, Abflüsse funktionierten schlecht

Charmant à la moitié du prix demandé!!!

Tromperie sur le produit! La description de l'hôtel ne correspond pas à ce que l'on trouve: " Le spa du San Rocco Hôtel est pourvu d'une piscine intérieure éclairée par de la lumière naturelle, d'un bain à remous et d'un sauna. Vous pourrez également profiter d'une piscine extérieure avec un espace salon dans un superbe jardin" Il n'y a pas de piscine intérieure, il y a un jacuzzi, glacé, impossible à utiliser. La piscine extérieure , beaucoup plus petite que la photo ne le laissait prévoir, est bordée par une autoroute. Contrairement à la description, notre chambre n'avait aucun charme particulier et était sombre car une des deux fenêtres était fermée en permanence, l'ouverture étant empêchée par un meuble. L'hôtel, situé très loin de la mer, dans un village sans aucun charme, coutait presque 200 e par nuit avec les taxes!

Sehr gute Lage, wenn auch ein wenig vom Strand entfernt. Jedoch viele Punkte in Istrien sehr gut zu erreichen. Tolles Haus, schöner Pool und sehr schöne Zimmer, toller Frühstücksraum und Restaurant. Massageanwendungen top !

Fitnessraum fehlte.

Mia moglie dice che I massaggi erano ottimi. Staff disponibilissimo e cordialissimo (ciao Giovanni). Buona cantina. Cucina più che sufficiente.

Acqua della piscina interna è fredda, la piscina esterna non ha un buon ricircolo dell'acqua , I materassi sono scomodi; I materassi dei letti x bambini secondo me fanno male alla salute ( un centro benessere deve badare a queste cose più di un albergo comune).

Besonders gefallen hat uns die Lage und das Personal! Wir würden dort wieder jederzeit einige Tage verbringen.

Die Dunkelheit und Deckentiefe hat nicht so sehr gefallen,ist aber nicht zu ändern.

アドリア海の食材を使った美味しい料理と地域のぶどうを使ったワインを堪能しました。

Small boutique hotel in the countryside. Room was of a decent size and cosy. Bathroom was standard. Could hear noise throughout hotel in the room and at 22:00 when last guests departing from the restaurant downstairs a bit annoying. Breakfast was small and adequate but nothing special. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn't try the restaurant in the end as menu very focused on truffels and the prices accordingly high so cant comment. It was however well occupied and there seems a lot of smiling faces so could not have been bad. We instead went to a local restaurant just 5 minutes away which blew us away from atmosphere, friendliness, food and price. A wow! Hotel also had to our surpirse a indoor pool area besides the outdoor pool. Basically had a pleasant stay and would recommend it on. Good value for money.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Da wir zur Zwischensaison und unter der Woche dort waren, hatte das Gorumetrestaurant geschlossen, es wäre aber für uns sogar geöffnet worden. Wir haben stattdessen die im Ort befindliche, dazugehörige Konoba besucht, das Essen war wirklich sensationell und übertraf alle unsere Erwartungen.

Das Abendessen war hervorragend. Für Feinschmecker und Weinliebhaber eine Empfehlung.
