The charm of this hotel is to a large part due to its marvellous location right at the sea, about 20 metres from the sparkling blue Adriatic and a beautiful Blue-Flag beach. It maintains the tradition of its predecessor, the first tourist facility in Baska Voda, which was awarded the Grand Prix and the Gold Medal for Modern Cookery and Wines at the international trade exhibition in London in 1936. Hotel Slavija is at the heart of all that Baska Voda has to offer. You can go diving, windsurfing, water skiing or cycling for a holiday full of pleasure.
Baška Voda used to be a fishermen's, farmers' and merchants' settlement. Today it is a modern tourist resort offering clear sea, beautiful beaches with pine woods, high quality hotels and excellent restaurants. Fresh air from the Biokovo Mountain adds to the charm of this region.
Today, apart from the sea and the sun, bathing and pleasant walks, historical monuments and a museum, Baška Voda offers attractive cultural and entertainment programs. Very interesting are the religious feasts - especially the Good Friday procession (which proceeds over 15 km through all villages in the municipality), St. Nicholas' Day (patron of Baška Voda, 6 December). The festival of harmony-singing groups of the Makarska littoral is held on St. Lawrence's Day (10 August).
You can enjoy various sports and recreational activities (tennis, football, handball, table tennis, crazy golf, fishing, hiking, etc.), entertainment in the evening and night hours including various programs in bars, discotheques and on summer terraces. A number of restaurants and inns offer local specialities. Attractive excursions are organized as well.

It is a great location right in the center of town across from the beach but it is an older hotel and could use some renovation. The beds were just fair and the bathrooms were old. It was probably quite a jewel in its day but its day has passed. The staff was great and it wasn't a bad value for the money but the hotel looks better on the website than it does in person.

Al lado de la playa.
Todo, habitación anticuada, sucio (pelos en el desagüe de la bañera), sólo había 2 toallas de lavabo, pedimos nada más llegar 2 toallas de ducha, nos las dieron el segundo día, después de haberlas pedido 3 veces. Desayuno muy simple, el zumo de naranja era agua. El día que nos íbamos a las 6.30 de la mañana, el chico que estaba en recepción no podía cobrar ¿? y tuvimos que esperar hasta las 7
