It's the best place. You have the resort wuith the supermarket, quiet, 3 restaurants, and if you get a room in the Splendid building, appartment Type d, you will have the best location in Croatia. You have the view that includes the pool, se, and coast line

I booked the apartment "Type d" with "Sea View" and it was big enough to accommodate 4 persons. The apartment was a 1 bedroom apartment with a large double bed in one room and a double sofa bed in the loung/kitchen/dining room which was very spacious. Even if we got there one day earlier we received the apartment for an extra night for the same price without any problem. You have to pay for everything! If you want ac it's 6 Euro / day, sunbed (8) + umbrella (5) another 13 Euro. The food is way overpriced, like everything else in the area but it's a resort, and it's the same all over the world. The lack of internet in the room is annoying sometimes.

Nice and quiet location, clean apartments. All kinds of dishes, bowls (and even a coffee maker) are available in the kitchen. Don't let the 2-star rating turn you off, because it definitely deserves more. Internet is avalable only at the reception and pool area.

The D-Apt seaview, top floor was clean with a great view. Satellite tv was adequate. The kitchenette was stocked with ample utensils and dinnerware. Beds were comfortable. Parking was freely available. Pula is small enough that you can't get lost and its a great launching pad to see the rest of Croatia. Wi-Fi was free and readily available but only poolside. In the summer, it will be a must to buy the a/c card which also comes at an additional charge. I recommend this hotel but be aware of hidden charges and surrendering your passport. Let me start off by saying I hate hidden charges and that's what I was hit with - Tourist Tax - expect to pay an additional 4-7 krn per person per day. Booking.com doesn't mention this and should make it clear to customers. My 185 Euro booking cost shot up to 225 Euro for 2 people for over 4 days. It didn't break the bank but that's a surprise additional 40 Euro or $57 that was not budgeted. Families or extended stays be aware. Also, be prepared to either pay your bill upfront or surrender your passport as security. I'm very protective of who handles my passport so I paid upfront. Because the resort is on the side of a cliff, it means there's a lot of stairs from room to pools to parking. This is not a place for the elderly, the unfit or people with knee problems. It is also more like a public park than a private resort because 10-20 local pre-teens monopolized pools and seating areas instead of being for guests only.

The location. Absolutely gorgeous. Just be careful when preparing food in your apartment as ants can be a problem.

Everyting was great. We were especially satisfied with the employees who were always nice and helpfull. The view from our appartment was great. In low season some services are not available or Open very late/ close very early. We can understand that the services are reduced to the lower amount of customers. However some easy think like the internet coffee should have extended opening time.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of accommodation considering a relatively moderate price. Friendly staff, large territory, big rooms (I could recommend „b“ apartments), very nice sea. We stayed in b208 apartment for max 7 ppl in three, huge terrace, 3 big rooms with everything needed for the stay (except for the kettle, which we bought in the city and left in the apt afterwards), air-conditioning. It is ideal for those who travel by car, or rented one, as you can visit the city center with its markets and nearby cities (Rovinj, Rijeka, Porec) easily. Plan to return next year! The only thing that worsened our holiday is some local guy smashing my car while parked and hurried to get lost while unseen. Special thanks to a guy from Germany who wrote down guys car number. I would recommend the hotel making access to the territory restricted to avoid such things. As far as I understand in spite of the barrier on entry, everybody could enter the territory by car. Why not leaving it closed all the time and let only the guests in? Or assign parking places to the apartments (making parking a paid service).

We had a great holiday and really good value for money. We spent our time between snorkelling and swimming in sea and pool and going into Pula. Was fine getting into Pula by using bus 15-min walk than bus every 20min. There were quite a lot of steps from out apartment to the sea/pool 150+ so if you do have problems with steps i would ask for a lower apartment. Well worth getting sea view great sunsets Comfy and well equipped apartments.. Only criticism would be that the air-conditioning unit was on the balcony and very noisy .

Excellent seaview from the rooms, beautiful trees around the beach. Kind and professional personnel. The rooms are rather narrow and they are of old jugoslav design. No WiFi, just at the pool and at the reception. At the beach there is not too much place and you must pay for laying there (2 sunbed, 2 Carlsberg and an umbrella for 144 KN ~ €20 - sounds like a joke).

Brilliant see view, specious bathroom, clean apartament.Local shops, places to eat quite handy, considering that you need to make your own food or find where to eat.Staff was helpfull,no complains.you can leave your luggage right in the reception if you arive earlier and go right to the beach or walk aroud.Free parking in all the area. You can rent a bike, scooter, even a car if you give few days notice inside the resort,so to reach distant city centre(about 4km) sholuldn't be problem. Rocky beach so you need a swiming shoes. Some "ghost, post soviet era" buildings just need urgent repair or demolition.Quite far from city centre.

As independent travellers to Pula, the Splendid was well situated with a good bus service into Pula and a small shop for basic shopping. Our appartment was clean and spacious and would recommend paying for the sea view as this was great! Swimming pool has a great setting but tended to be busy. You have to pay extra for lounger beds both by the pool and down by the sea but worth it on the odd day. The rocks have steps into the sea which is really clear with lots of fish so good for snorkelling. The restaurant by the pool did good fish, pizza and pasta as well as other snacks. The clay tennis court is a bit run down and could do with improving considering you pay to play. And charges for the lounger beds could be lower or scrapped!

Good location, big balcony by the sea, short distance to shore. Apartmet type E was very clean and spacious and well equipped. Bustop to town close, public trasport easy to use. Peronell in reption frendly and very helpful Hotel area architecture is from Jugoslavian age, some parts left unfinnished. Hotel pool has salty water (very!) only few restaurants on the area and they are poor and expensive, near the hotel sea is not very clean. beach side ubrellas extremly expensive 20€/site a day!

First impression of the hotel was that it looks like an old camping, but the apartment on Splendid was really great, with a huge terrace and the sea view that worth the money. The beach is rocky or with pebbles, but the water is gorgeous and good for snorkeling. The rooms are big, with new furniture. The kitchenette was stocked with ample utensils and dinnerware. There is no cleaning of the room, the bed sheets were not changed, but we got new towels once in 8 days. You have to pay for everything! If you want ac it's 6 Euro / day, sunbed (8 Euro / day) + umbrella (5 Euro / day), too much, and the beach in front of the hotel is rocky and flat rocks are occupied by the hotels sunbeds and you can hardly find a place to stay there. And above all they do not clean it.

The apartment was nice with amazing sea view. If travelling with children please note that you can only swing from rocks and the ocean is very powerful. Also the hotel has not so helpful or service minded staff.

The room was good and you could easily fit 5 persons and a baby into the room. The kitchenette had basic equipment to allow cooking in the room. Our room had a nice view to the sea. Also the pool area was nice and you could easily swim in the sea too. The area had a lot of stairs, so moving around with the baby carriage was somewhat tricky.
