Hotel Splendid

Loistava sijainti hieman sivussa hälinästä, mutta tarpeeksi lähellä kaikkea. Hyvät bussiyhteydet keskustaan ja vanhaan kaupunkiin. Palvelualtis ja ystävällinen henkilökunta.

Aurinko ei paistanut hotellihuoneen parvekkeelle kuin illalla ennen laskemistaan. Se oli toisaalta myös etu, parveke oli mukavan virkistäytymispaikka.

We had a spacious room on the top floor of the new part of the hotel with a large balcony/terrace with sea view. I think that you should make sure that you have a room in the new part of the hotel since the rooms in the old part are smaller and have smaller balconies.

They forgot to clean our room one time and when we told them they did not apologize but said that "our room was probably not accessible then at the time the chambermaid arrived" which was obviously not an option since we were gone all day. Besides this, which is relatively unimportant, I think it is ridiculous that you have to pay for the sunbeds and even for the parasols on the rocky "beach" in front of the hotel when you are a hotelguest. This fact is not mentioned on this site either but I think it is a shame that these are not for free for hotelguests.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Splendid. It was perfect for us. Our room was very nice with a patio and a beautiful view of the Adriatic and islands. After hectic days touring Dubrovnik, this hotel was just a ten minute bus ride away and a lovely sanctuary from the touring hordes. We did love the old town of Dubrovnik, also, but it was great to go back to this peaceful and beautiful retreat every evening.

There is nothing we did not like about the Hotel Splendid.

We particularly enjoyed having a room with a seperate sitting room and a fairly large balcony overllooking the sea. Transport in to town was excellent and the hotel staff very very helpful and courteous.

There was evidence taht the poulation of ants increased with higher temperatures and that will probably be a problem in high summer.

Good staff, good facilities, good location.

No elevator.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and delightful, always helpful and smiling. This was the only redeeming factor for all the money that I spent to visit Croatia and experience kind people at my hotel. George, Mario and Bozo they were all very helpful and professional.

Didn't have any room internet or wireless internet

The staff were very friendly and the access from the beach out to the sea was fantastic. The view from the terrace over breakfast was pretty special too. The hotel is no great shakes in the design stakes but it is a good 3* with clean, serviceable rooms, 24hour front desk and decent breakfast.

I really liked the hotel but I suspect in high season it would be heaving. It feels like a package holiday destination. Out of high season that's no issue but I get the feeling it wouldn't be too quiet in July and August!

Room very comfortable with good views and a balcony. Staff very helpful and friendly. Comprehensive buffet breakfast.

Disappoinitng that no seats available at the beach, perhaps it was too early in the season.

Stayed at the Uvala, not the Splendid: the room was large and very nice. We also used the indoor swimming pool.

Think the evening buffet dinner was over-priced.

The staff were friendly, and the setting overlooking the bay was stunning
