petit souci au moment de régler notre séjour : l'hôtel n'a pas appliqué le prix à la réservation et la facture n'était pas claire (kn et € mélangés). Cela s'est arrangé mais il a fallu du temps

Hotel très bien situé au bord de la baie de Lapad, acces direct à la mer .Très beau jardin et terrasses, hotel très calme, éloigné de la route.vue superbe.Grandes chambres

Très bel emplacement, accès rapide à la vieille ville par bus

Conception de l'hôtellerie totalement surranée malgré toute la bonne volonté du personnel. On se croirait dans un un établissement d'état des années 60 (d'ailleurs la construction date de 1963). Il suffirait d'une gestion modernisée pour en faire un établissement intéressant.

We had a spacious room on the top floor of the new part of the hotel with a large balcony/terrace with sea view. I think that you should make sure that you have a room in the new part of the hotel since the rooms in the old part are smaller and have smaller balconies.

They forgot to clean our room one time and when we told them they did not apologize but said that "our room was probably not accessible then at the time the chambermaid arrived" which was obviously not an option since we were gone all day. Besides this, which is relatively unimportant, I think it is ridiculous that you have to pay for the sunbeds and even for the parasols on the rocky "beach" in front of the hotel when you are a hotelguest. This fact is not mentioned on this site either but I think it is a shame that these are not for free for hotelguests.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Splendid. It was perfect for us. Our room was very nice with a patio and a beautiful view of the Adriatic and islands. After hectic days touring Dubrovnik, this hotel was just a ten minute bus ride away and a lovely sanctuary from the touring hordes. We did love the old town of Dubrovnik, also, but it was great to go back to this peaceful and beautiful retreat every evening.

There is nothing we did not like about the Hotel Splendid.

We particularly enjoyed having a room with a seperate sitting room and a fairly large balcony overllooking the sea. Transport in to town was excellent and the hotel staff very very helpful and courteous.

There was evidence taht the poulation of ants increased with higher temperatures and that will probably be a problem in high summer.

Good staff, good facilities, good location.

No elevator.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and delightful, always helpful and smiling. This was the only redeeming factor for all the money that I spent to visit Croatia and experience kind people at my hotel. George, Mario and Bozo they were all very helpful and professional.

Didn't have any room internet or wireless internet

The staff were very friendly and the access from the beach out to the sea was fantastic. The view from the terrace over breakfast was pretty special too. The hotel is no great shakes in the design stakes but it is a good 3* with clean, serviceable rooms, 24hour front desk and decent breakfast.

I really liked the hotel but I suspect in high season it would be heaving. It feels like a package holiday destination. Out of high season that's no issue but I get the feeling it wouldn't be too quiet in July and August!
